The house is beautiful and well taken care of. The king size bed is comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking on site though we ate out most of the time. A gas grill is also provided on the deck. The location is great for getting to Black Mountain, it’s even walkable. And Asheville is minutes away too.

Great Place to Stay

This is our second time staying. With three bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms, this is very comfortable for multiple people. We will definitely stay here again when in Black Mountain.

Great location

The house was clean and neat. Everything we needed. There was a slight concern with some ants in the kitchen. House was close to the lake and a nice walking neighborhood. Bedrooms were nice and beds were very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place. Thank you for a lovely stay at your home.

Roomy and good location.

This is a comfortable large home in a quiet local neighborhood, close to everything we wanted. The house is clean, well equipped and as described in the listing . Beds and pillows were a little hard but good enough . I would stay here again.

Great spot to relax

We truly enjoyed every minute of our week in this lovely home. Lake Tomahawk is an easy week and great for running, walking and people watching. The town center is also easily accessible by foot. We feel grateful to have staying here, and loved sitting out on both the front and back porch areas. Highly recommended.

The house was close to downtown Black Mountain and an easy drive to Asheville.

We met family at the house to celebrate our mother's 86th birthday, which was spent at the Biltmore and lunch at the Grove Park Inn. The house was very comfortable and welcoming after a long day of sightseeing. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Black Mountain getaway

I traveled with my two adult daughters and one of their friends to Black Mountain. The house was conveniently located to downtown and the surrounding area. Everything was very clean and we had more than enough room. They commented that this was probably the nicest VRBO that we have stayed in to date!

Black Mountain Treasure

Great, comfortable, clean, centrally located home! Minutes away from downtown Black Mountain where you can enjoy good eats and stroll easily around its shops and historic sites. A 30 min drive to Ashville (Biltmore, botanical gardens and much more) and add a few more minutes drive to neighboring sister towns (don’t miss Hendersonville). Highly recommend this hidden gem!

Tree Top Vacation in Black Mountain

This VRBO is located in a Black Mountain neighborhood convenient to Lake Tomahawk where in late September it is pleasant to walk and meet the friendly, welcoming residents and visitors to the town. Asheville, Lake Lure and points along the Blue Ridge Parkway are a short drive away.The hosts of Tree Top have created a clean, comfortable space for families to relax, play games, prepare meals in the conveniently organized kitchen and sleep in spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Outside seating for 4 is on the front porch facing the street and for 2 on the small porch in the rear. The check-in and check-out processes were easy. It is a great VRBO for visitors who plan to tour the area and enjoy the nearby trails and natural attractions.

Attractive and Spacious

Very clean, pleasant and attractively decorated home. Bedrooms are especially nice with higher end bedding, comfortable beds and extras like large closets, night lights and luggage racks in all of the rooms. Lots of counter space in bathrooms and a dresser in the master closet. Host was very responsive.

Amazing Property with all the Amenities

I can’t believe how amazing this property is for a relaxing, comfortable environment in the heart of Black Mountain! We absolutely were blown away by the value we received for this wonderful place. I definitely will stay here again. I have told all my friends who plan to visit. The owners were responsive, gracious and attentive to us. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. Enjoy the mountains and go "home" every night

This house is close to so much. We would drive the Blue Ridge Parkway or explore the Smokeys or backroads and come back that afternoon or evening to our "own" bed. The next morning fix breakfast, make a sack lunch and head out again. Beautiful setting in a nice small neighborhood. House will accommodate quite a few folks. Enjoyed some local eats too. Black Mountain is a nice destination within itself and the house is in the heart of the area. Nice big pond with walking path a couple blocks over. People in the neighborhood walk their dogs too.

Relaxing mountain getaway

The house was exactly what we needed, everything was as advertised. Our only issue was that it was an unseasonably hot week, and the downstairs A/C struggled to cool below 78 degrees, warm even for Louisianians! Upstairs was cool. In defense of owners, we did not call it to their attention for fear of repairmen ruining our brief time together. Owners were responsive and hospitable. We loved Black Mountain!

Comfortable and stylish retreat

This home is very comfortable to stay at. It is extremely clean, very functional and well decorated. Each of the three bedrooms had nice linens, and walk in closets ( with luggage racks!). It worked perfect for my husband and I to meet up with our daughter, son-in-law, grand-baby, and son. We explored Black Mountain and Asheville area from this home base. The kitchen is well equipped. We enjoyed gathering at the kitchen table and in the living room with its cozy fireplace and nice seating area. The entire house is extremely well decorated with no clutter and lots of convenience. Easy walk to Lake Tomahawk. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home

We really enjoyed our say in your beautiful home. The house was exactly as described. It has all of the needed amenities and then some. We did not cook while we were there, but we could have as the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The house is very spacious and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and it was very nice having the half bath downstairs in addition to two full bathrooms upstairs. The location of the house is perfect. You are within just a few minutes from just about everything and only a short drive to the interstate which will take you anywhere you wanted to be from Asheville to Hendersonville. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Exceptionally Clean and Convenient

My family of four had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful home for three weeks! First off, it could not have been cleaner or better organized plus it was decorated very well! I have a couple VRBO homes myself and I felt like I picked up some nice ideas from this vacation rental. Angela could not have been more responsive and was a pleasure to deal with in every aspect. I can’t over emphasize how clean and organized it was and the beds were very comfortable as well! All of this was within a short walk to Lake Tomahawk and also close to downtown Black Mountain. In fact, we had such a nice experience we tried to extend our stay, but of course with how nice this unit is it was already booked. So if you want a great place to stay don’t delay and book this one!

Interior updates & close to town

The location near Lake Tomahawk and Black Mountain town was the main motivating factor for selecting this reservation and it met those expectations. The interior was clean and furnishings were updated and in good shape. The appliances were a bit dated, but in good condition and the house was stocked with the necessary basics. The pictures were cropped such that they didn't provide insight into how close the house was to a busy street without a shoulder, so we were a bit disappointed by the lack of outdoor space in either the front yard (which was basically just a short driveway) and the back yard (which didn't have any place to sit other than the very small back patio).

Not For A Light Sleeper

Let me start off by saying Angela is very nice and easy to work with. The house is very nicely furnished, and we loved Black Mountain. However, I am a light sleeper and did not get much sleep during our stay there. The next door neighbors dog barked a lot at night, the house itself is located on a busy street and then there is the train. It would blow it's horn from 3:00 AM to about 3:30 AM every day. It is listed as being in a quite area and I did not find this true at all. Because of the area and not the house itself is the reason why I am rating it 3 stars. If you are not a light sleeper you will enjoy the house and be fine.
