TÀysin kunnostettu vuoden 2017 alussa, Cedarwood Hollow Cabin sijaitsee yksityisen mukulakivirran rannalla Superior-jÀrvellÀ. Cedarwood sijaitsee aivan Cascade Beach Road -kadun varrella, puolivÀlissÀ Lutsenin ja Grand Maraisin vÀlissÀ, Cascade State Park -rajan varrella. TÀmÀ aito puurunkoinen mökki on kunnostettu kokonaan sÀilyttÀmÀÀn kaikki alkuperÀisen viehÀtyksensÀ menneeltÀ ajalta, samalla kun se on pÀivitetty kaikilla nykyaikaisilla mukavuuksilla - mukaan lukien 48 tuuman italialainen pro-stye-kaasuvalikoima keittiössÀ. We had a lovely stay. The house was exactly as pictured online. It was amazing being right on the water and falling asleep with the windows open to the sound of the waves. The hosts were incredibly helpful. Everything was beautifully designed and arranged, inside and out. The landscaping was so lovely and appropriate for the area.

Serenity with a view

Comfortable, clean, spacious, with high-end finishes and thoughtful touches everywhere you look. The property really is only steps to the shore—perfect for a peaceful retreat. The large windows make the most of the stunning lake view, and we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds visiting the well-placed feeder. I hope to visit again sometime!

Relaxing and comfortable North Shore stay

We spent a wonderful week at Cedarwood Hollow. The house was spotlessly clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed. The patio, fire pit, and beach were spectacular. Such a relaxing and peaceful location. We already booked our return stay!

North Shore Serenity

This was our second stay at Cedarwood and it was just as perfect as the first time. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. The kids spent most of their time looking for cool rocks along the lake shore. What a beautiful place to find peace for a few days.

Dad/Adult Sons' Getaway Fishing Trip

The property was beautiful ... was clean, had all the amenities, was situated right on the shore of Lake Superior - so close that you could hear the soothing sound of the waves coming onshore. The property was close to state parks and towns like Grand Marais and Tofte. Truly a great experience!

Family Stay

We recently stayed (family of four plus two grandparents) at the house as part of a ski trip and vacation. We had a great time. The furnishings are very nice, the location is beautiful, the kitchen is well-stocked, and the home relatively spacious. My sole quibble would be around the wifi--it was a little spotty for some devices--but it didn't really detract from the stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous cabin on Lake Superior

Our family (me,wife, college daughter) spent four nights on the first leg of our North Shore journey. Absolutely beautiful cabin which is wonderful place to gather after a day of hiking, kayaking or exploring Grand Marais. Listening to the waves of Lake Superior all night was so peaceful. Host was phenomenal to work with from start to end.

Beautiful Setting, Beautiful Home

This was the 2nd time we've stayed at Cedarwoods and have enjoyed our stay both times. The kids love the "Hideout", the beds are very comfortable, and the kitchen is awesome! The range is perfect for someone who loves to cook! It's close to the shoreline and the views of the lake out of the windows changed each day with the weather. The hosts are very responsive and wonderful to work with!

Great Northshore Getaway

Great location for short day trips to Northshore rivers, trails and activities in Lutsen/Grand Marais area. Cabin was perfect for our family group of 6 adults and 3 children. Nice kitchen and dining area for group meals. Wood burning fireplace and outdoor fire pit had a lot of use with our group with the cool weather we had over the 4th. Small rock pebble beach in front of cabin was really nice. Cabin was perfect for our group.

Staying on superior in the midst of winter is not everyone’s cup of tea, But we love the wild lovely lake in all seasons, staying in a beautiful cottage is the secret, and this one is absolutely lovely, with beautiful amenities and an incredible setting. Loved it!

Family trip to Cedarwood

We have been coming to the north shore for many years and brought the whole family this trip. We all had a wonderful time and were very comfortable with the accommodations. We cooked in the beautiful kitchen, enjoyed tub soaks and played games. The shore provided us much enjoyment watching the waves, rock hunting and star gazing that never disappoints. We also enjoyed hiking, waterfalls and fall color. We will miss falling asleep to the sound of the waves and look forward to another return trip.

Perfect Lakefront Cabin

We stayed here for our annual girls ski weekend, unfortunately it was too cold and windy to ski. But that was okay because it was so fun to spend time at the beautiful cabin! The location is great, near lots of local attractions. Strongly recommend AWD, our vehicles had no problems but glad to have it. The fireplace was a huge bonus and we loved having a fire every night! Plenty of linens, towels, etc. Kitchen was gorgeous. We hope to be back!

Incredible Vacation Spot!

We had the most amazing time celebrating my MIL's 70th birthday, along with my husband and our family! What a location! Spent many evenings around the fire making s'mores and many mornings drinking coffee and skipping rocks on the lake shore just steps away from the front door. It was the most beautiful setting with the moonlight pouring into the large dinning room window during dinner! Oh the beds!! They were lovely, clean and comfortable! We will be back! Thank you again for the lovely stay!

With both of us native to Kansas, we made our first foray to the Northwoods in 1994, shortly after being newly married. Little did we know that that initial five-night paddling trip, launched from the end of the Gunflint Trail outside of Grand Marais, would lead to a lifetime of pursuing the Northwoods and everything it represents. We now own and operate a Tallgrass Prairie Preserve in the Flint Hills of Kansas, and we love the gentle beauty of the prairie — a sublime beauty that soaks slowly into your soul rather than a dramatic beauty that hits you upside the head.

We find the Northwoods to be similar in that regard. Whether the quiet lapping of waves against a rock shore, the distant haunting call of a loon, the silent rise of a full moon over Lake Superior, or the crackle of a wood fire on a frigid snowy night, we find the essence of the Northwoods invigorates our hearts and spirits like nowhere else. Cedarwood Hollow has a unique blend of old and new 
 its authentic timber-frame architecture was well ahead of its time, but its charm is expressive of the bygone era in which it was built. This property is uniquely equipped to accommodate a large number of guests, and we have three other properties, Painted Rock (Vrbo #761264), SweetWater Cottage (Vrbo #1770536), and WoodSong (Vrbo #1054023) located nearby and can be combined together to allow multiple families or friend groups to stay close in close proximity.
