Laid Back 4 Bedroom Home in Nags Head

Welcome to Laid Back by KEES Vacations!

This charming home is located semi-oceanfront in Nags Head with 4-bedrooms, a private hot tub and a pool.

The third level is where you and your family will enjoy time together, whether it be cooking together or relaxing while watching a movie. Dine al fresco on the porch in the fresh sea salt-filled air. There is a half bath, as well as the King En Suite on this floor.

The second level has the other 3-bedrooms. There is a stylish Queen En Suite, a Queen bedroom with deck access, a bedroom with 2 Twin beds and a shared full bathroom in the hallway.

The first level has an additional living area with a foosball table, a washer and dryer, a half bathroom and access to the hot tub and pool area.

The backyard area is fenced-in with a private pool and hot tub. Hang out Rinse off all the sand and salt in the refreshing outdoor shower. Then get the hot dogs and hamburgers ready for the ultimate cookout on the charcoal grill!

Laid back is pet-friendly, so there is no need to leave your pooch at home! For a small one-time fee of $135, you can bring up to two dogs to our pet-friendly property. No cats or other animals, dogs only.

Laid Back is located right across the beach from the beach road. The Blue Moon restaurant is within walking distance and it's close to grocery stores, shops, other restaurants and activities such as Jockey's Ridge, Nags Head Woods and Jennette's Pier!

This property has 6 parking spots for guests.

Private unheated pools will open on April 16th and close on October 1st. Pools and hot tubs are cleaned weekly and no later than 6 p.m. on check-in day. Vendors are subject to enter backyard to clean the pool and/or spa on scheduled cleaning days. No pets allowed in pools.

Check-In begins at 4pm. Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time.
Check-Out is 10am.

Beautiful home, but…
The house itself was beautiful! Plenty of shared space, nicely sized rooms, and tons of natural light. The cleanliness and upkeep of the home left much to be desired. The shower liners were moldy in all three bathrooms, all entrances to the home (with the exception of the back door) were difficult to lock and unlock (both inside and out), and the porch table was covered in mold. There were also lots of little nuances such as none of the remotes having batteries, the pool lights not working, the pool "shower" not working, and there was in lack of privacy in the street-facing bedrooms due to several missing blinds. Also, keeping track of a physical house key was annoying, to say the least. In an effort to remedy some of the issues we experienced, we reached out to the property manager and reported what we initially noticed, the remote batteries and the dirty shower liners. After reporting these issues, it took two days just to receive the batteries and three days to receive the shower liners. Again, the home itself was beautiful, it was in a prime location, and the views were gorgeous. All these issues can be remedied, but due to my experience with this stay, I will not be back for a future stay.

Property is listed as sleeping 8, which it does, but it is comfortable for 6 guests. Kitchen table seats, six, small back deck seats six. Basement pull out is old, dirty and is not suited for adults. Property is not well maintained. The small pool area was severely overgrown w/ weeds, and the grass area had not been attended along w/ the weeds. There was a mold area reported on a previous review which was still present. A contractor did come during our stay to evaluate. Siding missing off of back of house, wooden plank in front of patio doors as floor must be damaged. The last 2 days I’m told “water bugs” were seen by my family and upon leaving, I saw one 2 inch dark bug w/ antennas. I can’t think about sleeping here w/ those bugs, water bug or not. Property provides a charcoal grill only, no gas grill. Nags Head is a great town! However, I would not recommend this property.
