Welcome to ‘Twice Eleven’ Balnarring!
It’s all my favourite things coming together – wineries in every direction, Balnarring village (and it’s delicious food offerings) a stone’s throw away, the beach (for summer), the fireplace (for winter), and glorious sunsets (all year round, enjoyed with a gin in hand).
A cosy but considered house – it sits on a quarter acre, where kids, fur babies (and adults!) can comfortably roam free thanks to the full height fences and secure gate.
The long driveway makes for a bit of a grand entrance, but equally means there’s ample parking if you’re coming with any add-ons (like a trailer, caravan or boat – Balnarring beach is a 5 minute drive).
The house has been furnished and styled for ease of use and comfort, with everything you need at arm’s reach. An array of premium crockery, glassware, cookware and serveware means that whatever your food or drink of choice, this house is kitted out for your needs (including plasticware for the kids or the clumsy adults). And if your need is to do as little as possible, Balnarring village is 5 minutes on foot (have we mentioned the wood-fired pizza at the end of the road courtesy of Ciao Bella?).
There are three beautiful bedrooms (styled with premium linens), and we’ll leave you to figure out which you’ll call the master! Our vote goes to the bedroom at the back, it might not have the storage of the other two, but the French doors overlooking the backyard are luxe! Make yourself a coffee – Nespresso pod machine and capsules in the kitchen, or better still, send someone on a coffee run to The Red Hill Baker Balnarring – open the French doors and get back under the covers to laze the morning away!
The bathroom has been recently renovated, and has all the makings of somewhere you’ll happily lock yourself away. Bathtub or huge walk in shower – take your pick! And if it’s a weekend away with the girls, you can all get ready together at the extremely generous double vanity (with additional mirror lighting to help with getting all dolled up).
But if you’re staying in… light a fire (Nectre wood heater in the living room and wood store shed in the backyard), pop on the new smart TV, rug up with a throw, a movie and a bottle of local wine (we recommend Quealy Wines – a 3 minute drive and a cellar door open from 9:00am to 5:00pm).
If you’re coming with the kids, in addition to feeling secure that they’re safely confined to the yard, there’s also a cubby house and slide to keep them entertained.
