Neptune - Meredith Lodging

Snuggled in beach grass and shaded by shore pines, Neptune is a modern, thoughtfully appointed and cozy home near Cape Kiwanda in Pacific City. With a back patio and barbecue, you’re equipped to eat outdoors and enjoy the sun and ocean breezes in a quiet neighborhood a short walk to the beach. Indoors, a high vaulted ceiling and skylight make the great room feel spacious. Comfy sofas, a large flat-screen TV, a gas fireplace and a pretty staircase will make you feel right at home. Tile flooring graces the fully equipped kitchen, with its stainless-steel appliances and quartz countertops, bringing elegance and everything you’ll need to cook for your guests. Two bedrooms on the main level and a bunk room upstairs provide plenty of space for a larger family or extra friends sharing vacation time. You can walk out your door to pathways over the dune to fantastic views of Haystack Rock; stroll up the beach to enjoy a beer at the Pelican Pub, inspect tide-pools, climb a dune or just people watch on this beautiful and popular stretch of coast. You’re well placed for explorations of Tillamook and the North Oregon Coast, or Lincoln City and Newport to the south. Pacific City home in neighborhood
The house was nice! It dies not have any used and looks out on to a parking lot. The futon is broken, so my daughter and her husband had to take the cushion off and sleep on the floor. There weee no batteries in remote. The couches are so wore down that we had to put bed pillows on them to sit in. We stay in a lot of VRBO’s around the world and this was one of our most disappointing ones.

Great Family Place
Stayed here for a handful of days with our family. Location is a close walk to the beach, but it was unclear which path we could take due to the No Trespassing signs. Appreciated the extra bedding for the cooler nights, and the fireplace was snugly. Ample amount of towels for our group of 7. Traditional coffee maker, so don't bring k-cups for coffee. I always bring both if not specified, so it wasn’t a big deal. The blackout curtains were great for sleeping. Still no ice cream scoop or waffle maker, in case you expect one. Otherwise dishes were ample for our needs. The house is next to the Community Center within view of a large parking lot. Security wasn’t a concern, but privacy could be. Our dog wasn't a fan of seeing people walk by our back porch as there is no whole fence for privacy. Also, this is out of control of the owners, but a good FYI: some people "camped" in the lot overnight in their trailers while spending the day at the beach, so we could hear them next to the house at night and their kiddos walked there dogs around the back porch field and cul de sac. The rest of the housing area itself was quiet. Note the house is for sale, but it wasn’t an issue. Overall had a great time and would stay here again.

Much needed time away with the family
This place served as a great hub. We spent most of our time at the beach or neighboring restaurants. When the weather got nasty it served as a very cozy place to hang out and play games and break bread together as a family.

Weekend Get away
Overall the stay was ok but disappointed at a few things considering the price of the cleaning fee and booking fee. The carpet in one of the rooms was filthy with several large stains and slight odor. The couch was extremely worn and the leather was peeling off. The kitchen was NOT stocked well...no basic seasoning or PAM etc. However, the kitchen appliances were very nice. The bathrooms and other areas were clean and tidy. I confirmed that the house was empty (not rented the day before our arrival) and was told that housekeeping approved an early check in but was told I would be charged $50+tax to check in at 2pm vs 4pm. They did let us check in at 3pm for no charge. The pin code to use for the door lock that I was emailed was incorrect and on the second day found the correct door code through the portal. The lockbox code was correct and we were able to get the key and get in the house that way. The house is a very short walk to the beach and the upstairs room would be great for younger kids and has it's own bathroom and TV.
