Birthday trip

The building is dated, but it is an ideal location if you want to be up close and center to all of the action. We could see the beach from our rooms, walk to the beach, and stroll down Ocean Drive for entertainment, food and shopping. The Area is loud, but festive!I enjoyed the stay.

The best location in South Beach!

If you want to feel the real Miami vibe, this is your place! But if you're looking for a quiet, low-key vacation, this might not be the right fit. It’s not fair to leave a bad review just because you didn’t understand what this place is all about.Let’s start with the room: we stayed in unit C401, which has a living room and a bedroom. Everything was spotless, and we never had any safety concerns. The views from both balconies were stunning, and the rooftop pool on the sixth floor was a great spot to relax—never too crowded. You get exactly what’s shown in the listing.And then there’s the Palace! Yes, the unit is above the Palace Bar, but that’s part of the charm if you’re here to soak in the Miami energy. The music stops at midnight, so you’ll still get a good night’s sleep. The shows are amazing, and the overall atmosphere on Ocean Drive is vibrant and full of life—just what we wanted.If that’s the kind of experience you're after, you won’t find a better place than this.

Great stay

Excellent location with Ocean view. Lots of restaurants and shopping all in walking distance. Sofa bed was to hard for my liking. Palace nightclub was loud but dudnt bother us. Would definitely recommend this property.

Best vacation ever!

This condo is right in the middle of all the vibrant life on South Beach, which is exact what we wanted. The roof top pool is amazing with spectacular views. I would not recommend children stay here but adults looking to have the true South Beach experience, this is the place for you!!

My overall experience was positive great location in the heart of South Beach There was a problem with the sliding glass doors to the balconies as they were difficult to open and close especially the bedroom door If you're looking to do the south beach scene you can't go wrong staying here

My friends & I stayed on South Beach for the fun vibes & half marathon. Definitely a loud place, but able to put ear buds in to get sleep @ night. We stayed off strip for dining & found fine dining in other areas of Miami Beach.

Good value in South Beach

The unit is well located. The description is accurate. The unit is modern and shows normal wear and tear. Everything was clean and check-in/check-out was quick and efficient. You are on top of a nightclub which is convenient. Beach and Ocean view.

Perfect!

Me and my girlfriend (22 and 20) spent a few nights here during the first week of March and had an amazing time. Close to everything and a great view of the ocean as well as lummus park. We were aware of the noise from the bar below but brought a white noise machine and it drowned out everything. Highly recommend one if you plan on going to bed early like us but the music stopped fairly early. Valet was difficult to work with but they got us in and out eventually. Overall a great stay.

Everything was ok . The rooftop pool was awesome!. The check in Process was great. The balcony view was awesome on Ocean Drive. Only 2 complaints. The air conditioning was mediocre. We really didn't want to use a fan on vacation in the bedroom, and we saw a couple of roaches in the bathroom

South Beach Ocean Drive Strip

This property had everything we wanted, except it is directly above The Palace drag show club and restaurant and the roof top pool is accessible to anyone(not just Strand guests) Warning: this is.party central, drag shows day and night (2-3am during festivals such as Pride week), pool parties every afternoon as of 3pm. The level of noise is extra high, derious base coming from below. We bought ears plugs at Walgreens to help us sleep. The location is central, the balconies are great, we had our meals out there every day. Faces sunrise, boardwalk, beach view, all the action of ocean drive, great during the day. But again, do not underestimate, as we did, the noise level at the front of the property, it's insane. We'll not be staying there again

Not worth it

When we booked this place we knew it would be loud and we were fine with that. However, we were not aware that our condo was directly above a place called The Palace. This was a Drag Queen show. Whatever.. to each their own. My complaint is that I wasn’t aware that is was sooo Loud till like 1-2:30 am. The loudest place on the strip. The hand held sprayer was broke, the toilet paper was Scott one ply, we found beer bottle caps still there from previous customers.

Bathroom safety

The shower/tub had very high sides and was slippery on the floor of the tub. It was difficult to get in and out. This is an accident risk. This should be mentioned in the description of the property. Minor maintenance issue: The trash can in kitchen area had dead batteries so you had to manually take the lid off. We had to request paper towels, there were zero on arrival. Otherwise it was comfortable and very convenient location.

Balcony was great! The decor lacked. The chandelier in the living room was broken and hanging from 2 strings. The iron did not work. The floors were dirty. The shower curtain is moldy and had pubic hairs on it. The chairs outside had bird poop all over them. The windows were very dirty obstructing the view. It was very loud at night. Earplugs did not work. We left after first night and got a different hotel. The view was great though and good for people watching.

The suite and location is absolutely fabulous if you consider a couple of thing in regards to what South Beach is all about. First, SoBe is not Northern Europe. The standard is much lower when it comes to standard of living, service levels etc. High standards is very pricy here. Ocean Drive is loud. And that means that loud music is present from cars cruising on the street and in restaurants and bars from 11am to 1am. In weekends even worse. Keeping this in mind the place is like a dream. We stayed in a large suite with two balconies overlooking the ocean. You could be a part of the life in Ocean Drive from your balconies or by stepping out from your hotel directly into the fun craziness. The suite is equipped with a nice kitchen where you can make your own breakfast (or even dinner) if you like. The bathroom is very large and comfortable. The bedroom and bed is perfect. Its a king size bed. The living room/kitchen is the best. The balcony and large windows creates a light openness and connects you directly to the beach and the ocean. The pool is in the same building and if you use the stairs you don't have to wait for the slow elevator. The pool area is nice, with stunning views. The pool itself is small and shallow but is perfect for its purpose. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The place feels safe with CCTV and guards. Housekeeping is a joke (the people are very nice though). For 10 days no one vacuumed our carpets or changed sheets. I believe included were only daily changing of towels and pick up of garbage. However, it goes without saying that vacuuming and new sheets should be taken care of. But hey, it's Miami. The owners are quick in response and very clear in their communications. I would say it was no bad surprises other than the housekeeping's service level. The place is better than described I would say. All in all the stay was wonderful and the place is absolutely fantastic considering what you are paying per night. Having lived in Miami for some years and visit SoBe many times this is a perfect place to spend your vacation. But, if you like quietness and high standards you should pick one of the beach hotels at 20th street and north. I would not be surprised if you then have to quadruple the cost for a suite in the same size with ocean view and two balconies. We would love to come back soon again.

We stayed just over a week in September 2018. First of all, the price posted is NOT what you will pay! When we booked, the per night price was upped considerably and extra cleaning and room service was added. We asked why the extra per night price and were told "Because of what is happening in Miami." It was September, not exactly high season... further inquires as to what was happening in Miami were ignored. We asked to not have multiple mid stay cleanings but were told it was not optional and we had to pay. To add insult to injury, there was NO cleaning at all so we used the same towels the whole time. Messages to the host did not change anything. The host rents multiple suites in this building so the pictures are not necessarily what you get. Most notably, the picture with the lovely long vanity in the bathroom is not correct, our bathroom had a sink in the corner with only a wee bit of space on each side and there was an old rickety wire shelf to put things on. The picture of the large corner balcony was not what we got either, it was the unit beside the corner, with two tiny balconies. We expected from the other reviews that it would be noisy, it IS the strip.... but it is above THE LOUDEST BAR ON THE STRIP. They have not just entertainment but a raucous drag show every night until after midnight and weekend afternoons. The bar has massive speakers mounted to the ceiling just below the balconies. In the evening, sitting on our balcony we had to raise our voices to hear each other. That said, it was kinda fun watching the drag queens as their show spilled out onto the street in front frequently. This building is old and tired and these beach facing units are the top price so that means most of the people in the building(s) are paying a lot less. (like having the most expensive house in a crappy neighbourhood.... neighbours might be less than desirable.) The roof top pool was occupied by a lot of very young, drunk, rowdy people guzzling straight from bottles and playing their own music very loudly. We have used a lot of VRBOs in a lot of places over the years and this is the first one I've ever given a bad review to. Obviously people rent places to make money be this is the first time that we felt that was ALL the host cared about. All that said, if you don't mind the extra money grabs, music that vibrates your floor (even 3+ floors up) and that kind of thing, it is an excellent location on the strip.

Weekend in south beach

Being above The Palace is the best thing about this place, unless you don't like noise, then this place is not for you. The place in general is nice but needs wither a coffee table or side table out in the living area, there's nowhere to put your drinks. It's prime location in south beach you could uber from the airport or park a rental down on collins/13th street, super easy walk to the place. They might need to think about new cleaners, the dust is crazy high on things like the tv, boogers on the wall in the bathroom, dishes in the dishwasher with an old cleaning pack that fell out when we opened the door to see where the rest on the silverware and plates/bowls were, floors were sticky and had dirt when walking around barefoot first night. The wifi did not work the entire 2.5 days we were there, reached out to the owner and they were very responsive but unfortunately efforts did not make wifi available which sucks, cause I ran out of data. The tv's need serious updating so that you could watch any app you wanted while there, but they do have direct tv and hbo/max also so that's nice. I could go on about other issues but honestly the place is in a perfect spot for the beach, access to restaurants walking distance and bars/clubs in South Beach which is what I was looking for, it just needs a bit of help as it's not been taken care of well in the owners absence unfortunately.

Party Central and a Great Time!!

We knew it would be loud and noisy from the start, which is why we picked this location. The rooms were excellent with nice conveniences. We loved the two balconies and were able to watch the sunrise over the ocean from them. It was fun watching the thousands of people driving and walking by the front of the hotel. The daily shows were amazing and drew the biggest crowds on Ocean Drive every day and every time! We heard some great music well into the late night. The beach chairs and umbrella were great and we used them out on the beach! The location was well situated, as we could go up or down Ocean Drive with lots of options to choose from. Everything we needed was in very close walking distance. Us the nearby parking garage on 13th street, you won't be disappointed. The bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows. The curtains did a great job is blocking out the sunlight and the heat. The roof top pool and bar were very nice with a great view. We made some new friends and took a lot of pictures there! If you want to be in the middle of the action, this is the place for you. If you want a nice quiet place to get away, try somewhere else. I know I will return to this place!!

Appartement idéalement placé dans Miami Beach ambiance très festive. Au dessus du Palace, mais le bruit cesse vers minuit. Je conseille vivement cet appartement pour les personnes cherchant un lieu animé. Nos Hôtes ont repondu à toutes nos questions avec beaucoup de réactivité.
