Tervetuloa The Gardens at Discovery Bayyn. Tulet porteille ja etsitään "Etelä etelään" aivan meressä, joka on täynnä raitista ilmaa ja auringonpaistetta! Vierastalo tarjoaa yksityisyyden etsit täydellisen 2 täyttä makuuhuonetta (queen-size-vuoteet) ja kylpyhuoneet. Sinulla on käytettävissänne pesutupa, tietokonehuone ja täysin varustettu keittiö. On näkymät yllin kyllin kaikilla tasoilla, patio näköala rehevä puutarha ja valkoiset rannat, yläkertaan parvekkeella koko leveys talon. Ensimmäisellä tasolla on makuuhuone, jossa on oma kylpyhuone. Yläkerrassa makuuhuoneessa on pääsy parvekkeelle ja siellä on toinen täysi kylpyhuone. On 2 polkupyörää ja kajakki, joka parantaa ulkona hauskanpitoa aivan talon. Voit helposti kävellä paikalliseen suosikkikohteeseen, jota kutsutaan puutarhaan Grovesissä. Tämä on trooppinen puutarha, jossa on ravintola ja villieläimet, todella hauska paikka tutkia.

Myös kätevä kävelymatka rannalla vie sinut Banana-lahdelle, rentoutua siellä suosikkijuomasi ja paikallisen päivän saaliin. Kuljetus on saatavilla pyynnöstä erikseen. On hauskaa tallentaa mihin suuntaan päätä. Tule nauttimaan paratiisistamme ja koe haluamasi loma. Rentoudu joka päivä katsomalla auringonlaskua auringonlaskun jälkeen tai mene menemään - valinta! Loved this beautiful house and location!

Our family of 5 enjoyed a perfect week at this house. It's exceptionally private (no neighbors!) but feels safe and secure. The house is next to a public beach access so you will see people coming to walk their dogs (no one seems to stay long). Even thought it's 2 bedrooms, our 3 kids were comfortable in one room on airbeds that are provided. It was very enjoyable to walk to Banana Bay for lunch and then back to the house for more relaxation. Lucy was an easy, gracious host even allowing us to stay a day longer when our flight was canceled!

Very much enjoyed the privacy. Everything was kept very well. Finding the property was very difficult as the location did not match the VRBO map.

Terrific facility

Exceptional property, wonderful in every respect.... Clean, private and very well maintained. We only saw a few people during our 2 week stay at the property. We didn't have a car for transportation, but Colyn was very helpful in taking us wherever we need to go. Banana Bay is a short distance away and provides some good food if you want a change from cooking your own at the house. We didn't want to leave and will certainly make an attempt to return sometime soon.

Paradise!!

Our family stayed here for a week over Christmas. Santa could not have done any better! The home/guest house is right on the beach with just a few steps to the ocean! It was very comfortable for our family of 4 (my son used the provided air mattress) and clean! We did have a few minor “bumps” but the owner and Colyn were very quick to respond and remedy the situation. Colyn was amazing at finding us some of the best snapper which we cooked on the outdoor grill. My son and I used the provided kayak to paddle to Banana Bay a short distance away and we also enjoyed exploring the other way down the beach to the inlet! We didn’t use the snorkelling equipment as the water was a bit rough but thoroughly enjoyed the pool and beach! Lucy was wonderful to communicate with and we would highly recommend this piece of paradise to anyone!!

We really enjoyed it.

We enjoyed staying at Due South. The house you stay in is the taller of the two structures in the picture. It sits behind the Owner's house, but offset a little so it has a view of the beach from the upper deck and lower bedroom. The pool is closest to the beach, between the Owner's house and the ocean. You walk around the side of the main house to get to the pool in front of the main house. We were very comfortable in the house with our family of four. There are two beds and our son slept on an air mattress (there are two in the upper bedroom closet and an included electric air pump) and was very comfortable. The house is very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The weather was uncooperative the week we were there - quite windy most of the time - so we were unable to do some of the things we were hoping to do - diving, snorkeling, beach camp fire - and we didn't use the pool much either due to the wind and cooler weather. But we made the most of it and enjoyed our stay. We were able to do a little kayaking and biking (there is one double kayak and two bikes at the property). Banana Bay restaurant was great - close by, good drinks and food. We kayaked there, walked there, rode bikes there, and drove there - all very fun. Lots of good walking on the beach. Very few people around - the beach is public so there were occasionally people walking by, but not many. The internet and satellite tv service for evening watching were not always reliable. Colyn, the Property Manager is very friendly and helpful. And we were able to meet John and Lucy, the owners - both very friendly and welcoming. Thanks for sharing your property with us!

Wonderful Place to Stay!

We spent 2 weeks here over Christmas 2017. We had the most relaxing time, the beach was quiet and beautiful. It was home away from home, from being able to bbq, cook our dinners and enjoy nice bonfires in the evenings. The house was clean and very comfortable. Colin the care taker of the home was very friendly and helpful. We arrived at the house late and Colin waited and was there to greet us and let us in to the house. The top balcony was great for star gazing in the evenings and we even saw a comet! The kitchen was well equipped with all the cooking utensils we possibly needed. The bathrooms were nice and spacious as were the bedrooms. The swimming pool was clean and there is a nice balcony area to sit at in front of the pool and just gaze out over the ocean. The fire wood ready for the fire pit, and my husband literally said at least 4 to 6 times a day WOW when looking at the view. We would stay here again anytime Thanks Lucy for sharing your home!!

Our stay on Grand Bahama Island

My family and I had a great time visiting Grand Bahama. Your home is beautiful. The guest house is spacious and clean. I love the layout and the view is spectacular. We spent a lot of time sitting in the back by the pool and walking the beach. The beach is beautiful! You truly have a little piece of paradise. My husband is retired from construction. He worked in concrete construction for commercial and residential. We could see all the thought and detail that went into constructing your home. Beautiful job!

Relaxing oasis-- perfect for the whole family!

Our trip was fantastic! The photos don't do this place justice. The calm was the perfect holiday getaway to escape the stress of everyday life. Beautiful sunrise walks on the beach, a morning dip in the pool, lazy days on the beach or at Lucayan National Park, scenic sunset kayak rides, and nighttime fires... we had an amazing week! The house was clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. We had an incredible week of family bonding time, and we highly appreciated Colyn's hospitality. If you're looking for a quiet, beautiful place to spend a few days, this is the place to be!

Absolutely AMAZING! Even better than pics could portray.

What a wonderful place to get away. Our family was pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful guesthouse, cold beer, water and wine in fridge when we arrived. We all enjoyed having the local mobile phone, the US phone, computer, kayak, snorkeling off the private beach, and swimming in private pool overlooking the crystal clear waters. The beach was beautiful, we spent a lot of time walking and floating in the ocean. The balcony was amazing and we had everything we could need in supplies. Colyn, the caretaker, was helpful and pleasant. I would fully recommend "Due South" if you want higher end amenities and privacy. Quick 10 min drive to grocery store and Lucayan Marketplace. Thank you John and Lucy. We have several friends who were amazed by our pics and interested in visiting your wonderful property.

The best place to stay on Grand Bahama Island!!!

This property is amazing! I cannot wait to plan another trip back to this beautiful property. I was fortunate enough to spend three weeks renting this house. The homeowners are very nice people and are easy to communicate with. They can answer any questions that you have about the island. The property manager does a great job of keeping the house clean and property maintained. Make sure to ask the property manager for fresh Stone Crab when they are in season. From the house you can walk the beach to Banana Bay for lunch and a cold drink. Thanks again!!!

Amazing!

This property offers everything promised in the listing and more! We loved the guest house which is very tastefully decorated and fully appointed. The owner was very easy to deal with and professional and the local property manager was the best, handling our every request quickly and with a smile. The location is very quiet and peaceful. We had a great time and look forward to our return asap.

SUPERIOR HOME

We found this home to be an excellent choice for our family. We were greeted by the property manager the first day to see if everything was in order and to help us with any arrangements needed. The home was well equipped and we found the magic jack phone connected to the US was a nice feature, as well as the mobile phone provided. We would most certainly come back to this home.

Paradise

This property is absolute paradise! Very close to great restaurants and the airport. When we arrived the refrigerator was stocked with beer which is brewed on the island as well as bottled water and wine. There was coffee for the morning as well. This was just what we needed to start a very memorable vacation! The owners also work with a local bahamian who is like family to them and I definitely see why! We could call him for absolutely anything and he was there! We wanted fresh grouper, however the grocery didn't have any that day. We called him and he delivered one to us that afternoon....at an exceptionally great price! I can't say enough, but I wish we were still there!!!

Awesome property

This was by far our best vacation. The property is just amazing. From the endless beach views, to the private pool, the beautiful guesthouse with all it's amenities and the thirsty towels in the bathrooms. Lucy left no stone unturned in making our stay just perfect. We have wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. Haven't even gone yet and already looking to be excellent!!!

My fiancee and I have not yet even been here! Our honeymoon is in September and already just in speaking with Lucy, we know we will be having the best honeymoon ever! Lucy has already been so kind and accommodating. I so look forward to speaking with her more! Of course we will put a review on after we stay but we just wanted to put something on now. It is not often that you find such kind and helpful people! We are definitely feeling lucky to have found this property and its wonderful owners! Thank you.

Hi, I'm Lucy and my husband is John Hintz. He is a builder in Roswell, GA and also built our home here at 29 Gardens Drive, Freeport, Grand Bahama. We love spending time in the Bahamas. The minute we land and breathe the fresh air we begin the melt down of relaxation that keeps us energized. We have a large family in the states, full with grandchildren too. So we are always busy. The quiet at Freeport is always welcome. Once you experience this you will know what I mean. We look forward to sharing our paradise with you.

It is a short 2 hour flight from Atlanta to Freeport. This is a shorter commute than any drive to the ocean from here. For us, it takes at least 6 hours to drive to any coast from Roswell. In Freeport, the low key island lifestyle is so different than most of the tourist spots we've visited before. When I tell you the property is picturesque, I mean it. There have been 2 weddings at our place in the past year. The ocean view is spectacular. The pool overlooks the ocean which makes entertaining simple and fun. The white sandy beach, and the crystal clear ocean is the most beautiful to be seen anywhere on earth.
