Wonderful vacation

House is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Very spacious and stocked. Located in a quiet cove with lots of outdoor space to enjoy the ocean.

A great getaway place

This house is a gem, located just an hour away from Boston. Incredibly spacious, with gorgeous views of the ocean.

Amazing location

The house was spacious and provided large spaces to be together as well as separate areas to do things in smaller groups. The view and the beach along with great privacy made this truly a vacation to remember!

Wonderful stay!

This property is a dream! We had a small wedding and it was perfection! It’s not fancy - just quaint, beautiful new england by the ocean. Property manager was responsive and fantastic. I would recommend this hidden gem to anyone for an event or a stay!

Wonderful Location

We had a wonderful week filled with family, fun and food. The Bay was a perfect place for our water fun, sitting on the sandbars at low tide, walking, kayaking and paddle boarding. Kate, Lauren, Dave and Brian were super helpful and responsive to everything.

Beautiful location on beach

The house is large and able to accommodate a large group. The lack of A/C was not a problem because it’s on the water and often a substantial breeze blows in. We would choose the house again if we had the choice.

Wareham Gem

Our group of friends and family have stayed at this property several times. It is enchanting and always delivers. The location is perfect and not far from Boston. And we love that it is on a secluded beach. Other positives are that there is tons of room for a large group and it has 2 kitchens! Always a pleasure to be there.

If you like...

A rustic weathered beach house with character, this is the house for you. It fit our family of 14 comfortably, and there were enough bathrooms and space so that you were not on top of each other constantly. The kitchens were well-equipped with lots of options. The family enjoyed the beach and the bay for swimming. The house was conveniently located for you golf lovers. It's also conveniently located to nearby coastal towns.

We stayed for our son’s wedding this past week and this house is amazing! It has all the New England cape charm, so much space for large groups, which we needed to accommodate our family and some groomsmen. It has water views from almost every window. So many bedrooms and bathrooms, the service kitchen was great! We used that mainly to prepare and store meals, etc and were able to keep main kitchen and dining clean for enjoying the meals. We enjoyed the beach, swimming, collecting shells and a sunset dinner on the huge back deck before we headed home. Owner very easy to communicate with, home was well equipped and very clean!

Stunning!

The house is beautiful, comfortable, roomy, and well-appointed for large families. Plenty of kitchen space (two kitchens), bedrooms and bathrooms. We never felt crowded. The setting is gorgeous. Remarkably quiet in each bedroom. Just the sound of waves. Highly recommend!

Lovely place

Beautiful setting, spacious house with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, great kitchen setup, and an almost private beach with huge sandbar (great for kids) and gentle water. Very responsive homeowner. The only downside is that on bays, water has a lot of seaweed - nothing can be done about that. But a great time was had by all.

Our annual Memorial Day Family Reunion

14 of us celebrated our lives and family connection this Memorisl Day at this spectacular home on the ocean We found everything more impressive than the pictures could show! The home was huge yet cozy and comfortable for all of us. Plenty of spaces tucked away for reading, sitting to watch the ocean tides, or making a fire and chatting together. Everyone came from all over the country to visit together and enjoyed making meals in the 2 amazing kitchens as well as sunning on the fabulous deck. Kayaking , collecting shells, fishing, playing golf at the course near the end of the driveway all gave us great joy Gathering in this beauty for reunion year 2 was as perfect as year 1!! We knew it would be, and have already booked for Family Reunion year 3. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!!!

Needs some repairs

We enjoyed our visit but there are some repairs that should be addressed. Several windows did not have screens or had holes in the screens preventing opening the window. The living room doors are an issue, especially in the wind. The door from the dining room does not seal so bugs and water enter through the openings. The kitchen stove is very difficult to use and the oven is to small for a family. The stove in the prep cooks areas works fine but the oven only preheated after multiple attempts. Overall my family had a good time and enjoyed the house and vacation.

Spacious & great location

This was a great place for our annual family trip. The house was spacious, clean, and in a great location. The only thing we were disappointed in was the private beach. It looked nothing like the picture in the listing. It was covered in rocks and seaweed. Every morning we had to rake an area to lay out and a trail to enter the water. When we asked for beach passes for other public (cleaner) beaches, the owner was unable to obtain them. We went in July, so it may not always be like this, but just wanted to give a heads up. We had elderly people in our group who were unable to use the beach due to this. We were also there during an extremely humid week. The house does not have air conditioning but does have a good cross breeze. If it weren’t so humid the breeze would probably have been enough.

I didnt realize my photos were not giVing a clear enough view of the beach- they were taken to show the view from the patio. I have uploaded a few more that have a closer view of the beach. Certainly want to be transparent about the features available.

Rustic home with a beautiful location

The property is gorgeous— right on the water. For the amount this property charges, we were underwhelmed. There is plenty of space for a large group; however, the house is very rustic. The air-condition unit can’t support the huge house. The bathrooms are very old and need updating. One of the fridges had a handle duck taped. The tile in our bathroom was falling apart. There are lots of utensils and pots , but it’s a bit of a scavenger hunt to find what you need. There are 7.5 bathrooms, but only one was en-suite. The bathrooms are very very dated. Regardless, we enjoyed our stay due to the location. Also, you need to provide your own kayaks. There are some kids floaters that are provided. We also avoided one of the couches because anyone who sat on that couch was bitten by bugs.

You are correct the bathrooms are older as is the house, built in 1900! As is stated in the description we do not have ac or provide kayaks( due to liability concerns), although there are places to rent them very close by. We have not had any previous renters or the two groups right after you mention anything about the furniture, as I did not hear from you during your entire stay either via phone or through vbro I could only assume all was well. It is always highly recommended that if a renter has an actual concern that they notify the owner immediately so it can be rectified as soon as possible.

The house was exactly how you picture a grand beach house in Cape Cod. The house is pretty, spacious and well equipped. The second kitchen was really helpful for meal prep. There is a large dining area, a great spot for family cards and story telling from the day. The grounds were beautiful and secluded. The highlight was the beach - where my family spent alot of time. Each morning, the grandkids were up EARLY at the beach looking for crabs, shells, fish etc. The beachfront was expansive and although not quite the typical Atlantic Ocean powdery sand experience, it was fantastic. The beach had unique features of a lot of shells, SAND BARS, and other wildlife that we would not normally see (on beach) like osprey, deer, rabbits. Communications and checkin were smooth.
