We had an amazing stay! The place was very clean and had great air conditioning. There were enough life jackets for all of our kids and even some for adults, plus lots of towels. Scott responded quickly when we had a question. We loved using the paddle boards and pedal boat, and the quiet lake made it even more enjoyable. The view was absolutely beautiful. We would definitely stay here again!

THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM!!Came here as part of a short spiritual trip with my adult daughter to visit the Ark Encounter and have some quiet time after a crazy few months of unexpected life events. This place was everything that we had hoped for. Great view, quiet and peaceful location, clean and comfortable, just a short drive to a very friendly town with plenty food and shopping options. One word of caution: The house has great Wi-Fi once you have logged in on your devices. However, I highly recommend copying down the Wi-Fi password and door code BEFORE you get to the property. We had to drive a short way to get service on our phones and then I was able to access my VRBO app and get all of the info needed to get in the house. A small price to pay for the peace and serenity of this place. I highly recommend this house to others.

This was the perfect house for us! The kitchen was well stocked, the rooms had plenty of linens and comfortable beds, and the location can’t be beat. My kids enjoyed the paddle boat and I enjoyed the friendliness and very prompt responsiveness of our host. Truly - this is the most well thought out Vrbo I’ve stayed in. Thanks for a great week!

Very nice

Great stay at the narrow end of the lake.Very nice cottage with very friendly neighbors.As is the case with many properties on this lake, the walkway down to the lake is very steep - not a problem for our family but might be for others.Cottage was clean and just-right for our time there.

Fall break fun

This is a great spot to stay if you want some lake time and some time at the Ark (15 min. drive). Our family of five was very comfortable, the beds are great. We went in October so it was so quiet on the lake, still had beautiful weather to enjoy the canoe. The leaves were starting to turn, in another week or so, the area will be gorgeous with fall colors.

Nice getaway!

This cabin hosted my family of six for two nights. We had plenty of room. The place was well equipped and my older kids had a blast on the canoe! The owner was very responsive and kind. Thank you! We will consider returning!

Comfy Lake House

This Lake House had everything we needed to unwind after a long journey to Williamstown and multiple visits to Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. Beds were soft and clean, the kitchen had enough plates cups and utensils to work for our larger family. On-site laundry and two showers enabled us to cleanup and be ready for the next day. We have already recommended it to others we know who are headed that way.

The drive way was really steep, greater than 10 degrees which was difficult since i have vertigo. Hand rail to basement was loose. On a favorable note even though the water was cold my 5 grandchildren loved the water activities. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay on the lake.

Very beautiful area

If is a very beautiful area and the house was very nice. It is kind of hard to find and I would suggest arriving in the daytime rather than at night. Also if you are elderly or have any difficulties walking the driveway is very steep and it is also a very steep decline to the water. If you are younger it is fine, but we had a couple people that could not get down to the water because it was too difficult for them.

Visit to ark

The house was clean. It worked fine for.our family. I would suggest more wash cloths ( had to wash them everyday). And maybe update description to say one full bath downstairs in. Semi finished basement( steps were just wood). Kitchen was stocked somewhat. Could use a few more pots/pans. We only cooked breakfast so we made it work. Also need to be able to back down steep driveways! We didn’t use the dock at all. Overall the house was ok for our short visit.

Family weekend

We stayed at the lake house for the weekend of my son’s wedding. The location was great, minus the hills, that was no joke! The house was nicely stocked with anything that you might need. We reached out to the owner a few times and he was prompt with communications and actually came over to fix a wobbly stair railing. The house needs a good deep clean but overall it was clean, just noticed some smaller things (the floor between the stove and fridge, and the return vent needed a good clean). The beds were comfortable and clean linen. Bathrooms were clean. The kitchen was nicely stocked. The driveway is a huge hill and scared me! We loved our time at the lake house, the sunrises are amazing! Thank you!

Lake Fun

Great home with docks for swimming and boating.The canoe and paddle boards were a big hit. Dock swimming with water pad was the winner! Beds were comfortable. House was super clean and well organized. The coffee area doesn't work well. Doesn't fit for pouring water and filling coffee into machine. Would have been nice to have spice rack, small bottle of cooking oil, small containers of coffee to get started till you can go grocery shopping. Most places store a box of baggies, foil and plastic wrap. That is hard to travel with and is nice to leave for next guest. I replaced foil and left some coffee for next guests. Left couple fly swatters for flys. Oh yeah thanks for the bug spray. Can't carry on plane. God's blessing on you for sharing your home with us.

This was the perfect base camp for our adventures to the Ark and the Creation Museum. The kids loved the extra outdoor toys to use - paddle boards, floating pad, and pedal boat. There was a great selection of life jackets to use. The fishing was good too - quite a few smaller fish that we caught and released. The driveway was intimidating at first, due to how steep it was, but after a few days I felt like a pro. The neighborhood was quiet and very enjoyable. We would definitely stay again if we're ever back in the area.

Even better than expected!

Wasn't expecting such a gold-mine. The pictures do not accurately portray the beauty. The property is located on one of the fingers off of Williamsburg Lake in this private "cove" of family resort fun. The dock areas on the lake are quite large and the owners offer many water toys for renter's use. The house is very spacious, clean and exquisite.

A Relaxing Week!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there! We were blessed with warm temperatures which allowed us to get in the water and play! Our kids enjoyed using the floating pad, the paddle boards, and the canoe, while we enjoyed the spacious dock to relax on. The fire pit was also a hit! We were able to explore the Ark and Creation Meseum while there as well. Scott is a great host and prompt to answer any questions and needs that we had. The kids are already asking to go back!

Very nice place on the water.

The property was clean and ready when we arrived, check-in and check-out process were quick and easy. The house was furnished with everything we expected. Scott, the owner is very nice and responsive to his guests. Overall, our stay was very relaxing and pleasent.

Perfect respite

This lake chalet was better than expected. Roomy& clean, very comfortable furniture, very comfortable beds (even the single beds for adults slept great!) As nice e as the photos are, the house is even nicer. The dock is large with three sections and a quiet section of the lake. Was in town for a convention nearby so didn't get to relax as much as we would have liked, but left with a wish to come back! Very convenient to restaurants and stores, the ARK museum and Lexington and Cincinnati. Owner very responsive and courteous. Very well equipped kitchen, bathrooms, outdoor furniture and water stuff, etc. Truly loved our stay!
