The PERFECT location for a longer stay in Venice. Just far enough away from the crowds but close enough to walk to. Via Garibaldi was a nice surprise. Great restaurants to eat at in that plaza. Beds and couch were very comfortable. TONS of closet place in the main bedroom. The stairs to the place are steeper than expected but is worth it. Would recommend!!!!

Bright apartment in a wonderful neighborhood away from the crowds, but close to restaurants, cafes, groceries, pharmacy, 2 vaporetto stations and the Alilaguna for easy transfers to the airport. Check-in was easy, the host's communication was clear and accurate, and she was responsive to questions throughout our stay.

Perfect location, Venetian charm, great host

Linda is incredibly communative. Check in and check out was easy. The apartment's location is perfect, the Via Garibaldi is steps away and proximity to multiple vaparetto stops makes travel easy. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Venice in a few days

We had a great time stay at the Dream of Venice.Location was ideal as it was close enough to the Main Sights but far enough away to be peaceful. Restaurants were very good. Linda was very thoughtful with her book of instructions on everything. Would highly recommend it Even the 58 steps you get use to it.Rhonda and Gary from Canada

Unbeatable location

We had a wonderful stay at the Dream of Venice. The location is perfect, easy to get everywhere by vapporetto. It is lovely to look out on the park, a rarity in Venice, and listen to the sounds of watercraft going by late at night. The coffee shop round the corner on the waterfront is highly recommended for breakfast. Best coffee in Venice.

Great location well maintained

The property is at a great location and all you need is there. The only item is the three stories to get there with big suitcases but once settled down it was great. Lots of restaurants near by, a beautiful park. And simple acces from the airport to the apartment . Only 15 eauros on the ferry that comes directly from the airport directly to the stop where the unit is at.

wonderful comfortable flat

We had such a nice time in Linda's flat. its very well organised, you can find anything you may need, its comfortable, quiet and even in August bearable with the heat. its located between the Giardini and Arsenale so just right for the biennale. Anna was great to communicate with once we made our way there. thank you both Linda and Anna.

Home away from home

This is a great place to all those who don't like staying in hotels and want to feel like one of the locals. Entirely self-contained apartment with full kitchen, washing machine, internet and a/c. Quiet on top floor with nice view over the park. Close to vaparetto stop, grocery store, and fresh fruit market, waking distance to Giardini and San Marco square. Linda's communication with her guests are lightning fast and top notch. Highly recommended...except to those who have trouble with stairs (there are no elevators to get to the apartment).

Venice

We enjoyed our stay in Venice. It was summer and quite hot, but this flat is air conditioned, so coming back after sightseeing was heavenly. We did have some power issues, but they were resolved once we understood we could not run everything at once. The owner was so helpful with each and every thing, even kept in touch via e-mail while we were staying in the flat. We particularly liked the location, which was far enough away from the tourists that we felt like locals. Garibaldi Street was such a treat and right off the alley from our flat -- shops, restaurants, fruit stands, etc. The apartment is comfortable, clean and uncluttered and our owner has supplied guests with endless instructions, every little thing has been covered.

Pleasant stay in Castello

My husband and I stayed in Linda's apartment for two weeks in April 2011. It was very comfortable, especially the bed which was beautiful (more like a king size) as was the bedroom itself with the afternoon sun streaming in providing a lot of cozy warmth. We enjoyed the views of the lagoon with the large ocean liners coming and going and the park next door. We loved the neighbourhood, Castello, which is a real Venetian neighbourhood with only a smattering of tourists which makes you feel as though you are really living in Venice which is want we wanted. Via Garibaldi is the main street in Castello and has absolutely everything you could require and Linda provides a good directory to all the shopping and amenities in the area. There is a really good internet point in via Garibaldi run by Gianni who is very nice. We dropped our camera and needed to buy another one which we did from Gianni at a price I don't think you would get anywhere else in Venice - such is the beauty of living among the "real" Veneziani. The apartment itself is smaller than it appears on the website and I would suggest that it would not suit larger sized people as the bathroom and shower are quite compact and the steps up to the loft are more like a ladder which I did not feel inclined to use. My husband did use them, however, and he felt that the loft space would be mostly suitable for children rather than adults as the ceiling is low and the room very compact also. Linda let us know that the television was not working the week before we arrived in Venice which was a bit disappointing given that we were staying for two weeks and we did not have a computer so contact with the outside world was minimal although we did buy an international newspaper daily. The last thing I should comment on are the 58 steps which Linda makes no secret of in her website and reviews. The steps are demanding, not just in number but also that they are steep and the staircase narrow. Luggage is a challenge to take up to the apartment (although you only have to do this once) as is shopping but my feeling is that if you are in any way unfit or unsteady on your feet or have small children, this apartment would not be suitable for you. Other than these few points I hve mentioned, I really enjoyed dealing with Linda who was very helpful in all ways associated with the rental.

I was happy to hear how much these renters enjoyed their time in Venice, our neighborhood, and our apartment. We do everything we can to make sure that everyone's stay is pleasant. Unfortunately, the television was stopped working before this guest's stay, but it is working again now. The apartment does have free high-speed wireless internet access so it's easy to keep in touch with people back home, but guests need to bring their own computers, iPads, or smart phones. Thanks to this reviewer for the good tip on the local internet point for those who travel without electronic gadgets!

Bel appartement bien situé en périphérie du centre et au calme. L'accueil a été simple, efficace et sympathique. Les équipements ont été à la hauteur de l'annonce. Seul léger petit bémol : une eau chaude parfois capricieuse... Adresse à recommander en tout état de cause.

Die ruhige und gemütliche Wohnung war für uns ideal. Wir haben uns weitgehend selbst versorgt und konnten uns auf die guten Tipps von Linda verlassen; wir fanden alles in der Via Garibaldi und drumrum. Die Lage in der Stadt etwas abseits vom großen Touristenrummel ist perfekt, um entweder Gassen, Campi oder Piazze zu erkunden oder ganz einfach mit dem Vaporetto an den Giardini oder dem Arsenale zu weiteren Touren aufzubrechen. Danke für alles!

Sightseeing in Venedig

Die Wohnung hat für 3 Personen eine perfekte Größe. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut erreichbar. Restaurants, Cafés und Supermärkte sind ganz in der Nähe. Uns hat es trotz Regenwetters gut gefallen. Vielen Dank
