We are very sorry you felt the place was musty. We literally check it before every check in. We have had dozens of renters and even after the cottage being closed for the winter never has anyone remotely said that. Air can definitely get a bit stale in any house. With the rain prior to your arrival the windows were all closed. We keep the fans on all the time especially in the summer since there is no AC. It’s not to hide any musty smell despite your claim. You’re right that rooms aren’t huge. As a 800sf cottage the space is limited but we show photos and state that in the listing. Lastly you never allowed us to rectify anything - although we disagree fully about any musty smell. We told VRBO you only reached out to us about any issue the day after check in. Not that you stayed one night. As for cleaning fee we have our cleaners booked in advance and to last minute ask to take away their source of income we didn’t feel is appropriate. We truly are sorry you were disappointed but we have dozens of renters on multiple platforms that give our place a glowing review.

Vous n'avez pas du tout pris contact avec nous pendant votre séjour pour nous signaler des problèmes, nous sommes donc choqués car nous visons à offrir une expérience de qualité à la campagne. 1) La configuration du loft est très claire dans notre annonce, donc je ne sais pas comment vous avez pu passer à côté de cela. 2) Les souris vivent à la campagne, désolé, et nous avons des stations de contrôle et des unités à ultrasons pour souris, mais vous les avez débranchées et laissé de la nourriture à l'extérieur. 3) nous fournissons un rouleau de papier toilette pour chaque jour de séjour et sommes heureux d'en fournir davantage si nécessaire. Nous vous avons contacté plusieurs fois pendant votre séjour pour voir si nous pouvions vous aider, mais vous n'avez pas répondu, nous ne pouvons donc pas améliorer votre expérience si vous nous ignorez. You did not reach out at all during your stay with issues so we are shocked as we aim to provide a quality country experience. 1) The loft setup is very clear in our listing so not sure how you missed that. 2) Mice do live in the country, sorry, and we have stations to control and mouse ultrasonic units but you unplugged them and left food out. 3) we supply one roll of toilet paper for each day of stay and are happy to provide more if needed. Definitely the open loft concept is unique and modern but with walls not going up to the vaulted open concept ceilings it’s a different approach. We love it and glad you did too.
