Fantastic! A wonderful home with all the amenities

Had a four-night stay for a golf vacation and couldn’t be happier with this new home. From the amazing kitchen, multiple porches and outdoor pavilion, immense bedrooms and theater, to the large TV’s at every turn there was something and somewhere for everyone in the group to relax and be entertained. The owners attention to detail and design was inspirational, and the views from all sides rate a 10/10. Can’t wait to come back! If you’re looking for a luxurious get-away, you won’t be disappointed.

Jason, Thank you so much for taking the time to write a such a wonderful review. Reviews are so helpful to other travelers who are deciding on their vacation destinations. The owners did put a lot of thought into the design of their vacation home from an amazing kitchen with 2 dishwashers and 2 ovens to very large bedroom with private bathrooms and covered porches with comfortable seating and fantastic views! You're so right, there is "something and somewhere for everyone" , relaxing in the outdoor hot tub, playing arcade games and air hockey in the game room, watching movies in the theater room or watching the big screen TV in the Pavilion to just relaxing and being together with family and friends. I am so glad you all felt our home was a luxurious was a get-away and can't wait to come back! I look forward to hearing from you again. Thanks, Ann

Mansion in the Mountains

As much as we anticipated the size and variety of accommodations for our family of eighteen, we were overwhelmed by the quality of the architecture and interior design as well as the beautiful antique pieces of furniture. In talking with one of our relatives who asked if my wife and I stayed in the master bedroom, I told her "No, but in this house, ANY ONE of the bedrooms could have served as a master bedroom just about anywhere else." We also appreciated two washers and dryers as well as two dishwashers. Our only regret was only one refrigerator to manage the food for our group; nonetheless, we made things work. Also, the pavilion adjacent to the house was an ideal setting for all meals, and the fireplace provided the means for a S'Mores night. Finally, the house's location in the Townsend area kept us out of the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg crowds, and while we enjoyed attractions in both of those towns, we welcomed our retreat from the tourist milieu. For those who want a stunning mountain retreat away from the hustle and bustle of tourist towns, this house checks all boxes. Everyone in our family thoroughly enjoyed their stay!!!

Great Get Away

This was a great place for our out of town family to gather for a family wedding. Everyone enjoyed relaxing in the great room and the outside patio. We had a fire every night on the covered patio. It rained all weekend so that area was awesome. All rooms had comfortable beds and adjoining bathrooms. Great for 5 couples. It also had everything you would need in the kitchen. We truly enjoyed our visit. Would highly recommend this house.

Even better than the pictures!

Loved the huge bedrooms all with their own bathrooms! Wonderful pavilion option for outdoor eating. Really enjoyed the historical pieces, their descriptions and the touch of some family stories throughout the home. Lovely furnishings yet safe enough to accommodate the kids! Game room was a big hit! We were there for our daughter’s wedding and could have used a bit more closet space to hang wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses in a couple of the bedrooms. But overall exceeded our highest expectations! Would definitely recommend this wonderful mountain getaway!

Wonderful place for a family get together!

Our family of fourteen (8 adults, 5 teens, 1 child) I enjoyed a wonderful week at Townsend Sunrise Dream aka Ebeneezer Lodge in Townsend. We avoided a lot of the crowds and hassle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but we’re able to enjoy the peace and serenity of the mountains. Our families were able to take special day trips that were relatively nearby. The home is as beautiful as pictured, and furnished very nicely. We loved the theater, hot tub, and game room, but our favorite hangout was the outdoor pavilion. The overhead fans in the pavilion and decks made them very comfortable for relaxing and visiting. We enjoyed cooking most of our meals in, and the kitchen was very well furnished. We made lots of great memories here! We would love to return again!

Christmas Family Gathering

The Ebenezer Lodge is a beautiful house for family or friend gatherings. Everything you need in a wonderful location away from the crowds. A short (but curvy!) 20 ish minute drive to the middle of Pigeon forge or Gatlinburg if you want to escape the peace and quiet that this location provides.

Moved our bubble to the Smokies

This house was perfect! We had 6 adults and our 4 month old grandson to relax and cook and hike in this beautiful home. Great fireplaces, outdoor cooking, hot tub, and amazing views of the mountains. We will definitely be back!

Well needed family time

In the midst of COVID, we needed family time. This property exceeded all expectations. The property was clean, adequately stocked. The outdoor space was WONDERFUL! We ranged in ages 4- 40+ (15 people). This property met every need for all ages. We will definitely be staying here again.

Pristine Mountain Top House

The pictures did not do this home justice. Everything was very clean, new and comfortable. Very spacious. Perfect for multiple families. Every bedroom has a comfortable bed, balcony, large TV and large bathroom. By far the nicest place we have stayed in the Smokey Mountains.

Truly Amazing!!

The home exceeded our expectations! Not only was it beautiful, it was equipped with everything needed to accommodate our family. 2 dishwashers, plenty of dishes and silverware, 2 washers and dryers. It even had a whole house generator. A storm came through and the power went out. Other than when it flicked on, we would not have know we lost power. AC and all appliances still worked. That was a very nice surprise. We will definitely recommend this house and plan to return.

A little slice of heaven in the Smokies!

This home is beautiful and very well appointed with everything you need! We were three families totaling 13 and had plenty of room for everyone. In fact there was one bedroom that was left unused! The gourmet kitchen has everything you need to create the perfect meal. All the kids loved the game room and the outside pavilion with the huge fireplace was a favorite for everyone! The views from the house are fantastic! There was a power outage in the neighborhood due to some strong winds but thankfully there is an on-site generator so our house never lost power! They have really thought of everything!! The checkin process was really easy and the management staff was very responsive with answering any questions. We loved this place so much we were discussing another trip before this one was over!

40th Anniversary family gathering

The entire process was smooth and easy. Our family came in from 3 different states and everyone loved the place. I was called by the owner multiple times just to make sure everything was right. Even when part of the A/C acted up, they had the repair service up the same day. And again checked in to make sure it was right. Beautiful property, beautiful house, beautiful part of the planet, great week!

Loved it!

This property was amazing! The house is beautiful, well stocked and has lots to do to keep everyone entertained. You can tell the owner and property manager care that you are comfortable and have everything you need. While we didn't need anything or have any problems, it was nice to know Ann is always available if something had come up.

Amazing!!!

The house is completely beautiful! We arrived without a problem. Since we made it in late, the lights in the house were on and as we entered; there was a stunning Christmas Tree. That was a wonderful gesture. We enjoyed the house to the fullest. It was not necessary to wonder around because we were at home! My husband that the only thing he would change about the property would be “ The Title” Thank you Ms. Whethersby for your friendly and courteous help. I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends.

There are truly no words to describe just how beautiful this property is!!!!

Because of an unfortunate event, I was with nowhere for my family to stay on our already schedule vacation. HomeAway contacted the property manager and she immediately agreed to rent this property to us at the last minute. She personally called me and made sure that I had address and directions and even checked on me later to make sure that we found it and was able to get in. She was extremely friendly and made me feel at ease in a very stressful situation. I will forever be thankful for that!!!! When we pulled up to the property, it took our breath away!!!! GORGEOUS, beyond belief!!! The pavilion is AMAZING! We ate out there several times during our stay. The inside of the house is breathtaking!!!! The pictures on the website does not even come close to doing it justice!!! Is was immaculately clean and had everything that we could have possibly needed to cook for and serve our large family. And we definitely took advantage of the awesome theatre room! The views from the balconies are truly unbelievable!!! We were so comfortable and had such a marvelous time!!! If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay with any and every convenience of home with breathtaking mountainous views, this is definitely the place for you. This was by far our best family vacation EVER!!!!!! Thank you Ms Ann for helping to make this happen for us!!!!!

Beautiful and well designed for groups

Beautiful and well designed for groups. Other properties we have stayed in have more stunning views but this is our favorite. We came with 6 women for a getaway and can’t wait to come back with a few families. The bedrooms and baths are all 1st rate and just as nice as the master which is rare. Gas valve was off and a bit hard to find for the grill but luckily we were able to figure it out.
