Thanks Raymond for the accolades of this newspaper sections, themed condo titled "Entertainment" from the Times-Picayune newspaper building used between 1890 - 1969. The location is in the middle of the City, so the reporters could get out to all the neighborhoods and communities for the stories to be published in the newspaper. These condos are not your typical, small, cramped residents in downtown New Orleans. Yes, these condos are larger than some homes, based on square footage of 1200 sqft in the downtown area is rare and so much larger than even the hotel suites. Thank you for noticing the high end touches in this historic building, full of exposed old brick, original windows and hardwood floors. Great suggestion, we usually leave a box of facial tissues in the condos, once it starts getting cooler. It stayed a lot hotter so much later this year, we just haven't ordered that shipment. It is a great location to stay when in New Orleans for fall festivals, football, concerts, and FOOD! So glad your group had a wonderful time, yet sad that your vehicle was vandalized in one of the pay parking lots, north of the building. It is not a good feeling to walk out to load up your car on departure morning to find that. We are relieved that you didn't have to drive home in the rain, without the window. Thank you Sue for the 5* review. We were very happy that you asked those questions about where the extra pillows were, and finding the cutting board in the cabinet. Better than you leaving still being mad about something, then we don't know about it and may miss it before the next guests check in. Those interior bedrooms can be a double edge sword. With no windows, you don't have sunlight to wake you up to start the next days' adventures early, but then again, some may need that extra time to sleep in, from that night's adventures.... It's also great to not be near either the street or alley to listen to "city" & "Street" noise all hours of the night, like sirens, delivery trucks, trash pick up and dumpsters banging on the tops of the compacting trucks, and those annoying back up beeps from trucks backing out of the Picayune Alley, nope not in those bedrooms. You now know THE perfect place to stay for either of the MARDI GRAS weekends. Yes, you can walk 1 or 3 blocks to watch a parade and catch some throws, but always be close to the most important things to have during Carnival Season, a clean and close restroom!
