This place scored a lot of high marks. It was a lot of fun to have a front row seat to the canals lively action. Being on the water also helped to cool the place down. The location was excellent! Lovely ambiance at night with the special lighting. I do have a couple of minor suggestions. One is to have proper hot pads to remove pan lids the towel got too close to the gas flame. And lastly it seemed a shame to not be able to enjoy the upstairs deck. I ladder would be a great addition. These are very minor co cents. Thank you for hosting us, wonderful memories!!

Great spot!

A perfect place to stay. 15-20 minutes walk to most sights, great food/pubs close by (Thai food is 100m away). Quiet street is a perfect place to relax.

Communication with host was excellent. They were responsive and welcoming. The houseboat had all the amenities we could hope for in the kitchen and we were very comfortable.

Idilic stay

The property was magical to stay in. It was in a lovely quiet area of town but within east walking distance of all the tourist attractions you’d want. It was an extremely relaxing stay looking right onto the canal. Highly recommended.

We very much enjoyed our stay on this Amsterdam Jordaan district houseboat. It was quite spacious for 2 people and the neighborhood was delightful. It was especially great to be right on the water with the boats making their way up and down the waterway. No problems in communication or access.

Lovely houseboat in Amsterdam

We loved the houseboat. It was spacious and well appointed and in a perfect location for a short walk to museums, cafes, and sightseeing. The beds are comfortable and it is lovely to listen to the water lapping the sides of the boat while you lay in bed. We highly recommend!

Great place!

The houseboat was in a wonderful location in a great neighborhood, with big windows to watch the water and the people on the bridge. (Luckily, there were also great blinds and drapes for when we wanted to sleep, too.) The hosts were friendly and very communicative. We would love to stay here again!

Lovely houseboat in a great location. Close to lots of restaurants but not too touristy. Owners helped with ttavel from airport and had someone to meet us at house to explain everything. Highly recommend

The best way to experience Amsterdam

Beautifully appointed and neighborhood location cannot be equaled! Watching families, etc cruise by from the deck was so much fun, and the restaurants in the area are great. The guidebook provided is excellent and an entertaining read. We canntbwait tonreturn!

This houseboat is a dream! It's on a quiet canal, yet it's only minutes from anything you could want to do. The views are stunning and the bedrooms are comfortable. I couldn't have dreamed of a better experience.

Best way to do Amsterdam

We had an outstanding trip and couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. Nick was a great help getting us settled and gave us great advice about the neighborhood. The location could not be better and it was an incredible experience to stay right on the canal. Hope to stay again! Thank you!!

Very fun and convenient

Great neighborhood walking distance to bus and trains. Coffee and food very close by. Houseboat was fun and a unique experience. If you have physical limitations the few stairs going down to boat are not easy and the beds were very soft. Other than those two notes we would highly recommend!

Houseboat was the way to stay in Amsterdam!

Everything about this houseboat was wonderful. It is situated on a quiet part of the canal, away from the pedestrian traffic yet a convenient walk through the Jordaan, to museums, and to Westerpark which is quite beautiful. It is even a reasonable walk to the main train station. The rooms were roomy, there are two private bathrooms, and the boat is bright and airy. We stayed there with our adult son and enjoyed the deck just off the living room to watch the happenings along the canal. The arrangements and communications were excellent. Highly recommend this property!

Houseboat Paradise!

We loved our stay at this amazing houseboat. It was spacious, comfortable and had the most amazing small deck to sit out and enjoy the boats going by. Kitchen was easy to cook in and had all of the amenities you could need, including spices. Note the drawers are the space saving type so while it seems like there is no silverware (as stated in a previous review), I promise you there is—the host made sure we knew how to access it. We loved that each room had its own bathroom and the water pressure was good. Beds were super comfortable with nice sheets and the closet was huge. Neighborhood is amazing too! Only have good things to say about this place. Don’t hesitate to book!

Charming and Unforgettable Stay

This property exceeded our expectations. Located in a charming and convenient Jordaan location, we had a true Amsterdam experience. The house boat was spacious, clean, and well furnished. Comfortable beds, and plenty of windows for natural light and a fresh breeze off the canal. The neighborhood is quiet, but a short walk to all that the city has to offer. While the roof of the houseboat isn’t accessible, there is a small patio off the living room that is perfect to take your morning coffee or an evening nightcap. Our hosts were lovely and the check in process was easy. Highly recommend, and will book again on our next trip to the Netherlands!

Upscale houseboat within a 5 minute walk of numerous restaurants, grocery stores and cafes.

This property is a great way to experience Amsterdam. Being on the water is a unique experience. You sit in your comfortable living room sipping a cocktail and watching the boats drive by full of tourists that are paying extra to see Amsterdam the way you are seeing it. The property description is accurate. The beds are softer than what most are used to, but my wife and I found them comfortable to sleep on. I have a bad back and never woke up with discomfort. The high ratings are justified.

Wonderful location in Amsterdam

We stayed here for 4 nights in July. It’s a wonderful location and we loved watching the boats sail by. There were a few maintenance and housekeeping issues. Kitchen was a little dirty and dishwasher hadn’t been unloaded when we arrived. We had to wait for awhile for the host to arrive to let us in the property. Wine had to be brought the second day that was supposed to be in the houseboat. With a few more guest services this could be more welcoming. However, it was a wonderful opportunity to experience a houseboat on a canal in Amsterdam.

A quiet respite in the Jordaan

Usually with either of the short term stay websites, you hope you get at least 50% to 75% of what the photos might show. This property wound up nearly being at 100%! It was an amazing experience. Suzanne and Diana (managers for the owner) were VERY responsive as we planned our trip. Diana greeted us at the houseboat and was totally gracious even though we were late due to initial bad directional advice from iPhone maps. The area - Jordaan - was perfect as it was away from the maddening Amsterdam crowds yet close enough to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go - though we made GREAT use of Tram 5. The houseboat was beautifully appointed! And what fun it was to wave at all the boats that passed in front on the canal. The boat is well anchored to the dock so there was no movement. This place deserves a 10!
