Glad you had a good stay. We always point out that Quaker houses of the 1700s have very steep stairs. Ship builders constructed houses like ships.

Very nice comments by a special guest and her young family…intelligent explorers of Nantucket’s coastal landscape. I am glad to hear confirmed that 29 India strikes a good balance between respect for privacy and the congeniality that can enliven vacation moments. I appreciate also the guest’s open response to the human values that are part of Nantucket houses and their cultural story. For the record, I am the first generation to open the house as an inn. But hospitality has long roots in Island life and combines well with today’s cosmopolitan guests.
