This place was amazing. We stayed here for college visits and it felt like an oasis. It seriously made me want to move in! Beds are comfortable, everything is beautifully decorated. Would love to come back.

A beautiful Stay!! Aside from the fact it was so well equipped (there was nothing to want for), it was absolutely spotless! Easy access to anywhere one may want to go on the Peninsula!We have already entertained a return trip!

Absolutely great location, quiet, peaceful, beautiful. The location feels as though you’re up in the mountains with beautiful trees and clean air, yet you are close enough to freeways and access to activities. The hosts, Lisa and Jeff, could not have been any sweeter. They are incredibly responsive to messages, and as they live on the same property, they were readily available if we needed anything. The place was incredibly well equipped with pretty much anything you would need for an extended stay, this includes a well stocked kitchen, even including coffees and teas and such, and well stocked bathrooms with soap, shampoo, body wash, and even Q-tips cotton balls. We would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a nice quiet place in this area, we would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

So many wonderful things: the location is fantastic. I really appreciated all the small amenities: it was nice to have basic things in the kitchen stocked. I appreciate being able to park my car in the garage. The hosts are friendly and fantastic.

We stayed for over a month and the house was perfect for our needs. It was comfortable. It was extremely well equipped, the host was responsive when needed, which was rarely. Two lovely bedrooms and full bathrooms. Comfortable living area. Fully equipped kitchen and lots of other amenities. In a quiet neighborhood, but not too far from downtown Woodside and a good grocery store, and only about 15 to 20 minutes from the major centers of Palo Alto and Redwood City.

Lisa was warm and welcoming but never intrusive. Her guest house was private and exactly what I needed to recover from a difficult surgery at Stanford. The Guest house was an in ideal location — close to the hospital but not too close, and an ideal distance from the San Jose Airport. Best of all, it had a full kitchen which my friend, Paula, used to prepare meals while I recuperated. I appreciated having two separate bedrooms and bathrooms, including a steady handrail to go upstairs.
Loved the cozy gas fireplace!

Peaceful retreat close to Stanford

Charming cottage; great "rural" setting in Woodside, very convenient to our weekend events at Stanford University. Loved the outdoor patio for relaxation, nice fountains, charming birds and shady area for hanging out. Welcoming hostess, left us some goodies to enjoy upon arrival. Lisa was very responsive to our questions, providing extra coffee since we lounged around all morning the first day and drank lots of coffee! Definitely one we would return to. Thanks again.

This is a return visit, having initially stayed for 6 weeks and then another week earlier in the summerWhat a lovely, private, woodsy cottage, just about a mile from downtown Woodside. It's on a large property shared with a beautiful main residence and yard, with its own driveway and separate garage. The owners were very responsive and shared their gorgeous backyard pool area, which during our visit was occupied by a new family of ducks! (We did not utilize the pool as we were visiting other family in the area).The cottage backyard area is private with a nice table, umbrella, lounge chairs, and grill, and the kitchen was well equipped. It was good to have both A/C and heat during our stay, including a nice gas fireplace downstairs that provided ambience as well as a bit of warmth.The nearby downtown Woodside area is charming with an excellent market, bakery and several good restaurants. The surrounding area has a very rural/equestrian feel, making for nice neighborhood walks. Canada college (about 1/4 mile) has an outstanding workout facility that is open to the public to join if you plan an extended stay, and the property is close to the amazing Filoli gardens as well.

Peaceful, private oasis

The cottage is well furnished, with an exceptionally well- equipped kitchen. The hosts were quick to deal with any issue, friendly, but not intrusive. We stayed for isolated recuperation after my husband’s cancer treatment at Stanford Medical Center. This was a spacious, calm, luxury accommodation for such a purpose. Easy access to Stanford, excellent grocers and pharmacy resources. For our purposes, the single staircase to the bedroom was not a problem. High quality appliances eased our unusual amount of home cooking and laundry, and would certainly be appreciated by holiday renters as well. There is a small, but noticeable, amount of road noise. We found it nicely offset by birdsong, and the occasional owl hooting symphony. This is a special place we highly recommend.

The perfect spot for rest and relaxation!

This property is so conveniently located to the quaint downtown of Woodside and also within just a few minutes to Palo Alto, Stanford Mall, and Stanford Campus. Lisa, the property owner, was the best hostess - from the reservation process to the details of her beautiful Guest House. The Guest house is nestled between redwoods and eucalyptus trees. Food, drinks, and snacks were provided. Fully equipped home just in case you were to forget anything. Beautiful furnishings, comfortable beds, soft fluffy towels, TVs in all rooms, and a quiet and private backyard with beautiful patio furniture. Don't even think about it...just make the reservation. Hope all of you enjoy as much as we did. Purpose of our trip this time was to seek medical treatment at Stanford however we would come back for a long weekend trip to shop or watch a Stanford football game.

Charming Cottage in Forest-Like Setting

This cottage is beautiful, thoughtfully furnished, and has all of the amenities you need, plus some you didn't know you wanted. The beds were very comfortable and the property is well maintained. The owners are communicative, but never intrusive. We loved the forest-like setting and the peace and quiet. It was a haven for us during our travels.

Woodside Wonder

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Lisa and Jeff are amazing hosts. They are attentive and accessible, but also give guests total privacy. The home was perfect for us, in a great location. Peaceful. Close to everything we needed and wanted--the Woodside market/restaurants, Filoli, convenient to get onto 280. It is furnished comfortably and beautifully and stocked with all the things we needed. We very much want to return.
