Fantastic place. Great for big families and friends. Lots of space for socializing and also for privacy both inside the cottage and outside. Fully equipped for cooking and entertaining. It was exactly what we were looking for.

The property was great for our group of senior kayakers. The place was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was very well stocked and the bedrooms outstanding with extremely comfortable beds. The added feature of heated bathroom floors was much appreciated. There was plenty of room in the common areas for us to gather for meals and play board games in the evenings. Check in and out instructions were very clear and the host responded quickly to any questions we had. We totally enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Comfortably sleeps many people. Television had many streaming options. Enjoyed the fire pit. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking. Property in need of minor fixes (broken window handles, burned out lightbulbs, loose sink fixtures, low water pressure). Dishwasher was not working for the duration of our stay. Attempted to troubleshoot the problem with the owner but communication broke down.

House and lake are beautiful but the dock wasn't very stable or secure. The dishwasher was also not working and the dishes got dirtier after going through a cycle. Lots of space and lots of rooms which was great! The basement and sauna did smell a bit mouldy.

We so enjoyed our two night stay. The place was immaculate! The beds were so comfortable with lovely linens. Enjoyed the most beautiful sunset! Would highly recommend!

We stayed at the Lakefront Cottage on Big Rideau Lake from April 23 to April 26 and had an excellent experience. The property itself was beautiful, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.The host was very easy to reach and always responded quickly, which made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. We especially appreciated how well-stocked the cottage was—every amenity we could think of was available.Overall, we had a very relaxing weekend enjoying the peaceful lakefront setting. It was the perfect getaway, and we would definitely consider staying here again.

Kayakers and canoeists should be aware that Big Rideau Lake has big motorized boats - and lots of wakeComfortable beds and nice linensWell equipped kitchen - but needs attentionUpper bathroom toilet is in need of repair - flush has to be isolated each time to avoid leakage.Sink tap is also a problem - the water temperature control is broken,Ceiling light not working in main bedroomThere are no outside tables for dining or drinksWe attempted to contact the owner to provide this feedback but received no response to our phone messageThis cottage could be excellent but suffers from lack of attention to detail

This well-equipped property right on the lake provides a relaxing vacation. Plenty of room and new appliances. Had a wonderful time even with the rain.

We have traveled to the Rideau Lake region many times over the years and this property provides some the nicest accommodations we have ever enjoyed. The location is very convenient with close access to Portland and Westport and their shopping and dining options.The property provides beautiful lake views and wonderful sunsets. The outdoor amenities include three levels of lake and dock deck views with comfortable Adirondack chairs and a hammock. A well-functioning fire pit is also available for evening campfires.The home is well laid out with several common areas for family dining and gathering. The kitchen area is large and well equipped with everything you need.The bedrooms are as described, and all the beds were very comfortable. Communication with the owner was excellent before, during and after the stay. During our stay a repair was necessary and he responded immediately and had the work completed in a very timely fashion. The sauna functions well but the downstairs area appears to be undergoing renovation and is not exactly as it appears in the photographs.We would definitely enjoy another stay in the future.

Lovely time on Big Rideau Lake

We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very nice, well-equipped kitchen with 2 fridges and lots of room for everyone. The location was also great and the kids were swimming off the dock every day. Good outdoor spaces, good Wi-Fi as well.

Fantastic setup

House was just as described, plenty of room with all of the amenities. Great location close to towns in any direction. I would highly recommend this property especially for larger groups. A very nice property

Great stay

The property is very clean, modern, and spacious. Lots of room for family members to be together or separate for different reasons. The dock worked out fine for our boat and the water was very nice with clean, deep water, swimming off the end of the dock. The fishing was great as well.

Fantastic location right on the water. Great swimming off the dock. Sunsets across the water and serenaded by the loons. Lovely spacious and comfortable lodging with all the amenities of home. Thank you to our hosts!
