Clean and nicely equipped and well stocked all around in a really great location that’s secluded but close to many things. While there was some ants on the window sills there’s a handy eco-friendly spray they provide that works great, wasn’t any trouble and LA just has ants, not a problem. Street parking was never a problem either. I would rent here again next time we visit LA. I also loved the original mid century modern furnishings.

Thanks, Larry — we’re so glad you enjoyed our house, the location, and the original mid-century furnishings and for being understanding about the occasional ants that appear during the odd extreme heat wave. I don't use any chemicals in my home - which most of my guests really appreciate - especially when traveling with kids or pets that tend to put their hands (or paws) on so many surfaces. I use essential oils instead. You are welcome back anytime you’re in LA!

Nice property in a quiet and good location. Heather was very helpful throughout the process. The actual apartment was a little more run down than it seemed from the pictures--a loose drawer panel; a messy utility space visible from the kitchen; some of the upholstered furniture a little ragged. Still, it was a good place to come home to at the end of a day.

Clark - thanks so much for the feedback! I will mention to cleaners to keep an eye on the utility room. Sometimes it's easy to forget that even the laundry room needs staging - that it's not just a catch-all room - esp since it is visible from part of the kitchen. I've been thinking about turning that into a 1/2 bath and remodeling that whole area and we just installed a brand new LG washer. And I know about the chair that needs some attention - just dragging my heels on finding just the right mid-century fabric to replace the original vintage upholstery, so that's a good reminder to just get it done. I was not aware of a loose drawer panel and something that would not be so apparent to the cleaners so I will take care of that! Glad you found the property quiet and in a good location and hope you'll come stay again!

Great stay

We had a great stay at this spot with our two children (3 and 5). We loved all the light, the tree's, the proximity to some great places to eat. Would definitely stay here again! Lots of nice touches, very comfortable for our family of 4.

Stay at Silver Lake Mid-Century

My sister and I enjoyed our stay. The house was located in a quiet cul-de-sac and parking was never an issue. Great location centrally located. Lovely views of the mountains and it was like staying in a treehouse.

The house was a great home base for our LA trip. Our main purpose was for a dodger game and the house made getting to and from the stadium very easy. The house had everything we needed and we loved the MCM vibes. Heather was very easy to reach and accommodating.

Great Home in Silverlake!

My friends and I enjoyed a nice weekend at this mid century furnished house in silverlake. The property definitely has a mid century vibe and parking was easy to find. We walked to Blair’s for dinner one evening and it was a terrific neighborhood Italian place with great food and wine.

Comfortable house close to many of LA’s top spots such as The Groove and Hollywood. Modern furnishings within walking distance to Starbucks and Whole Foods. Take a hike up the Silver Lake stairs to the reservoir.

The house was as advertised: in the Silverlake neighborhood, which has easy access to freeways and a number of interesting neighborhoods. 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk to Silverlake Reservoir. Relatively quiet location near end cul de sac street overlooking Glendale Blvd. Nice mid-century modern decor, furniture, windows etc

Wonderful stay

Heather’s house is located near the end of a quiet dead end street. Open, spacious, clean, and comfortable. The house overlooks a busy street but you wouldn’t know it (except for distant traffic noise) because the large windows look out into the trees of the beautiful backyard. Very walkable; Whole Foods is a short walk or drive away. You can walk around Silver Lake Reservoir and it’s surrounding hilly neighborhood. Heather answered questions promptly. Kitchen well-equipped, great shower head, comfortable beds with quality linens. Highly recommend!

Beautiful mid-century oasis in the trees

This is a beautiful mid-century house that's tucked up on a little street above the hustle and bustle of Silver Lake. It has one of the nicest kitchen set-ups of any rental property I've stayed at – super stylish dishware, tons of pantry and fridge staples. It was really nice to have a chill, comfortable place to hang out amidst all of our various city outings and our dogs LOVED the woodsy backyard.

Beautiful home with lots of space to entertain

This home is absolutely beautiful! I would have moved in if I could. The two living rooms, dining room, and open kitchen provided ample space for us to gather with friends. All with beautiful views. The house was tastefully decorated. The beds were comfortable. And Heather was very communicative to set things up optimally for us. We travelled with our one year old. He enjoyed crawling around the open space and I was happy that there were outlet protectors, baby plates, and even bibs available. Great location, too. Definitely recommend.
