In inverno, le stazioni sciistiche più vicine sono quelle di Mont d'Olmes e Ax Les Thermes circa un'ora di distanza. Mirepoix è a 30 minuti dall'aeroporto di Carcassonne e 70 minuti da Toulouse-Blagnac.

Check in was easy, and we were warmly welcomed by the owner's parents. The house was immaculate, and thoughtfully furnished with everything necessary for a very comfortable stay. It is located just steps off the main square of a charming town (make sure to check out the lively Monday market), and within an easy drive of many interesting sites. We loved our stay, and definitely plan to return.

Perfect Place to Stay in Mirepoix

Six of us (all adults) had a marvelous stay in this very large, lovely house steps from Mirepoix’s market square. The location could not be better. Free parking close to the house. The house is exceptional … big bedrooms, a spacious and very well-equipped kitchen, a living room with comfortable couches, and a delightful patio where we spent late afternoons after touring nearby villages and cities.Vincent was a great communicator, staying in touch and offering helpful advice. We all agreed that medieval Mirepoix was an ideal location to stay, easily walkable, lively for such a small town, with a gorgeous church and an amazing market on Monday mornings. Toulouse, Carcassonne, Foix, Narbonne are all easy day trips. One group even went to Montpelier for the day. Highly recommended place to stay.

We are really glad that Constance enjoyed her stay in Mirepoix. The communication was really smooth with her and she really took care of the house during her stay. If ever Constance wants to come back in the area we would be happy to host her again.

Vacances à Mirepoix

Accueil chaleureux et attentionné par notre hote. Gite très spacieux, très propre et très bien équipé avec une jolie terrasse arborée. Gite au pied de la place de Mirepoix avec ses multiples commerçants et point de départ de belles découvertes à pied, à velo ou en voiture. Tres bon séjour !

Super Séjour à Mirepoix

Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances dans la maison de Vincent. Celle-ci est remarquablement aménagée, décorée avec goût et très fonctionnelle. La cour intérieure est très agréable et joliment fleurie. La maison est au calme, sur une rue piétonne, et en même temps à proximité immédiate de la place et de ses commerces et restaurants. Pour ne rien gâcher, Vincent s’est montré très accueillant et très réactif quand nous avons eu quelques questions.

Estancia inolvidable

Magnífica casa a escasos metros de la plaza medieval de Mirepoix. La propiedad tiene el carácter y la solera de una casa antigua, pero con todas las comodidades que el viajero moderno desea en sus vacaciones. Las fotografías corresponden exactamente a lo que encuentras al llegar allí. El trato con los dueños ha sido exquisito; son gente educada y con buen gusto. También la atención de Josy, que es quien enseña la casa y está pendiente de que todo esté a gusto de los inquilinos. Perfectamente comunicada, con comercios a dos pasos, y muy cerca de cafeterías y restaurantes. Impecablemente limpia y acogedora. ¡Y qué decir de Mirepoix! La catedral de San Mauricio, su maravillosa plaza porticada, el mercado nocturno y la fiesta del mejillón, el mercado de brocantes del domingo y el gran mercado de los lunes... Una experiencia inolvidable, que aconsejamos y que sin duda repetiremos.

Better than we imagined!

This is a great property literally steps from the mid evil square of Mirepoix. The location couldn't be better with a Carrefour express just a block or so, a butcher almost across the street and many charming restaurants and shops in the square. The property is exactly as the photos show. It is extremely well equipped, very comfortable and immaculately clean, We were 2 couples who stayed for one week and the accommodations and layout of the house were perfect. Each couple had thier own floor - each with beautiful, large bedroom and bath. We were slightly concerned about only having street parking, but there was always plenty of parking places very near. Josey met us and was delightful and very helpful. We recommend this property wholeheartedly!

Lives up to all expectations

This property is in an ideal location just steps from the square. We were greeted by Josie who was warm and welcoming and available if needed. The house itself has three stories and while the steps are many they are small and worth the climb! The rooms are as shown and we were delighted with the beds. There is plenty of room and we were very content. We appreciated having washer/dryer available and the wifi worked well. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. You won't regret this accommodation or the village of Mirepoix as a destination. We have been to many regions in France and this was a highlight, despite the poor weather. As someone said to us on market day, the spirit in this place cannot be matched. We stayed for a week and used it as a home base to explore each day. It's an easy day trip to the caves (south of Foix and really worth seeing), to Carcassonne (loved the castle), the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. Thank you Vincent and Josie!

Fantastic say

Everything about the stay was truly fantastic. Josy met us promptly at arrival and guided us through the home and provided some advice regarding the town. The home has three levels and plenty of space with lots of good character. Mirepoix itself is a very comfortable friendly village that is easy to stroll around. Short day trips in each direction provide phenomenal experiences. To the south, 14000 year old prehistoric cave painting, high pyrenees mountains. to the North Toulouse and Carcassonne. To the East, Minervois. My family had a wonderful trip and we will hope to plan another trip back soon.

Excellente vacances en famille

Nous avons passé deux semaines avec notre famille dans cette maison superbe. Sur chaque étage ily a une salle de bain, des chambres spacieux , les lits confortables. La grande cuisine est trés bien équipée avec tous ce qu'on a besoin. Dans la cuisine il y a une terrace jardin - parfait pours les enfants et adultes. L'hostesse acceuil est trés gentille qui nous aidé avec nos questions. Cette maison est située prés de la place du marché ou chaque lundi il y a une grande marché avec des produits locaux. Il y a beaucoup de trés bon restaurants avec les prix variable. Nous aimons toujours visiter ce village et nous retourerons ce juillet. Val & Ken - UK

Wonderful house - great location

My husband and I spent a wonderful month in this house in the ancient bastide town on Mirepoix. We were warmly welcomed by Josie, the housekeeper and the owner's parents, who helped us settle in. The house is spacious, spread over three floors, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The bottom floor consists of the entry hall, a fabulous kitchen and a comfortable lounge room. The dining room table would easily seat ten people. There is a delightful terrace garden off the kitchen which would be great in warm weather. The bedrooms and bathrooms on the second and third floors are extremely spacious and comfortable and the heating throughout the house is excellent. Parking is easy and free nearby and the famous enough Mirepoix square is lie rally on the doorstep. Booking through Vincent the owner was simple and he responds promptly to emails. The house has loads of information about the area and there is a tourist information office in the square. Mirepoix is a wonderful base to visit wonderful sights all around. Throughly recommend this marvellous house

histoire cultrure, confort et détente !!

Au cœur d'une cité médiévale vivante, cette maison offre tout ce que l'on peut attendre ... rien n'est laissé au hasard : tout le confort et au delà de nos espérances ... cette maison de 3 étages aux grandes pièces vous plonge dans l'histoire de la ville, tout y a été choisi avec gout et élégance ... Bravo à ces propriétaires qui se sont mis en 4 pour que notre séjour soit réussi !! Merci et à très bientôt !! les photos vous plaisent ? le lieu est encore mieux que cela !! n hésitez pas c'est une belle location et un lieu magique surtout pendant le festival des marionnettes en aout !!

Wonderful stay!

Five of us had a fabulous stay at this property. The owners had someone to meet us on our arrival and then personally met us on our departure. Mirepoix and the surrounding area has lots of things to do and see and many restaurants to try. The Monday market allowed us to buy lots of wonderful fresh produce to take back to the property and put the great kitchen to use. We particularly loved having breakfast in the outdoor terrace. We would be more than happy to recommend this house to others.

Great house!

We loved this house - the owners were there to welcome us and to show us around the house. Everything was spotless and as described - perhaps even better than described. The location is wonderful - literally just steps away from the square in Mirepoix. We enjoyed Mirepoix itself and the surrounding towns that we visited. The castle and museum at Foix, Castlenaudary and a trip on the Canal du Midi, the villages of Camon and Leran. There is lots to do and see within short driving distances from Mirepoix. We would happily recommend this house to others.
