Great location, Spacious, Comfortable

Beautiful view, walk to tons of restaurants, great view of the beach and easy access to it.Very spacious rooms with 3 bathrooms and washer/dryer. Super comfortable and well stocked. Elevator too, We really enjoyed our stay there and James is a great host!

Amazing experience!

We loved everything about the condo and the area Great views of the ocean and pool. We walked every day, explored ruins, played on the beach and ate amazing food. The grocery store was close and the kitchen was well equipped to cook some meals. The property manager and host were great and communicated well! We cannot wait to come back Next year!!

Gorgeous condo on beach in heart of Puerto Adventuras

James’ condo is everything he describes it to be. It is large, airy, immaculate, with very modern cooking amenities, beautiful artwork, and a perfect location right in front of the best beach in PA. It also sits alongside two huge and beautiful pools. My wife, two kiddos, and I all had an absolute blast each day hanging out in the ocean, swimming in the pools, and meeting new friends at Villas del Mar. There were always palapas available to hang out under. Richard, the property manager, was awesome… super nice and helpful with immediate responses to any questions we had. Super cool guy. The small town is just a short and easy walk away, with abundant and delicious restaurant options. We visited family in Playa del Carmen- again, a simple 20 minute drive from James’ condo. We definitely plan on coming back, but hopefully next time with additional family. We would highly recommend James’ condo, and give it 12+/10 stars. :) Many thanks, James, and best wishes.

Excellent Stay

Everything was exactly as advertised. VDM 1 has the best beach of all the other condos! Easy walk to restaurants & shops. Short drive to some great Cenote's. The pools are fantastic!! Both Jim and the property manager RIchard were very responsive. Slight issue with the faucet in the MBR shower but we just used the 2nd bathroom. Would highly reccommend.

Wonderful space!

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa del Mar in this unit. Kitchen had all amenities including a blender! The owner provided adequate drinking water for our week long stay. The unit was quite, master bed comfortable. Great time of year to visit- we only needed the fans most times. It was nice to have a washer/dryer for a small load mid week. Pretty views every morning! The master shower was hard to operate, so we used the walk in in the other part of the unit- but was not a big deal. Overall, great stay, and we would certainly stay here again. Highly recommended.

Great Vacation

We (4 adults, 2 of which are 19) stayed here for a great 11-day stint. It is just as described with plenty of room, easy access to pool and beach, and a great location. The check in was super easy and Jim even accommodated us for a bit on our last day, as our flight was later in the afternoon. We followed the great instructions provided by Jim (I would recommend bringing an extra 3 C-notes for the required COVID testing if retuning to the US, depending on the size of your group) and had no problems. Richard, the Property Manager, was also great and very helpful with any issues, local info, and even arranging some side trips. The grounds are very well-kept and patrolled. The pool is a uniform depth (but I am taller than most) and always clean. The beach is white sand with plenty of room and shade. There is Sargassum that comes in (not every day), but the staff works very hard to clean it up, so it causes a minimum of problems (seeing how bad some of the other beaches were, you appreciate the hard work). There is also a tennis court (with lights) for guest use. It is a synthetic grass surface, not in the best of shape, but certainly adequate. You don’t want to play long in that heat anyway. Everyone, from staff to other guests, are very friendly and polite. The town, which is a very easy walk, has a good mix of shops and restaurants, with a Chedraui within walking distance (even in the heat). I would not hesitate to recommend this unit, the property, and the location to anyone.

Great vacay

Villas Del Mar is a wonderful location close to so many gun restaurants and activities. The condo was spacious,clean and comfortable with lots of thoughtful extras. Owner James is incredibly responsive and informative. Would definitely stay here again!

Just another day in Paradise

This was our 2nd time staying in the Villa Del Mar C -205 condo. We found the property and condo to be just as fantastic as our first visit years ago. The pool is one of the reasons we wanted to return. It is by far the best pool of any place we have ever vacationed. My wife calls it her “happy” place. We also feel very safe here in Puerto Aventuras and it has everything you would want or need, all within walking distance. We would highly recommend this place to anyone searching for a perfect beach vacation. The people are friendly, the food is good and the prices are very reasonable. The only problem is having to pack up and leave this piece of paradise.

Great stay!

As we got home very late last night, this initial review will be short-will add more later. Great condo! James happened to be there on vacation when we arrived so we got to meet him. Very nice man and he even had cold beer in the refrigerator for us! The condo was very nice-even better than the pictures. Will add more later.

Great Place at Villa Del Mar

We enjoyed a great stay at this 2nd level condo. It was set up very well with more amenities and supplies than some of the other places we have stayed in the resort. The location was superb being right next to the pool and beach. Beautiful sunrises from the balcony and a nice breeze flowing through the condo. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit.

Paradise Found

The condo was spacious, with a recently updated kitchen and master bedroom, with glorious views of the sea from both the main room and master bedroom. What separated Villi Mar from other properties we have stayed at is the "expansiveness" of the grounds. The two pools (each about the size of a football field) were perfect for kids (max depth about 4 ft). The private beach area, with cabannas, was perfect for simply lounging around. The sandy beach itself was great for kids, in that you could go out hundreds of feet, and the depth was only a few feet. Amazingly, as this was the low season, we never had to share this beach area with more than a few people. The walk to the masterfully planned town was only about 3 minutes (taking you through the beautifully manicured grounds of Villi Mar). The town itself allowed you to be self sufficient, without a car, in that it had a small grocery store (very reasonable prices), about 10 restaurants, pharmacies, and some gift shops. Restaurants specialized in Italian (with fresh pasta made daily), Seafood, Mexican, and American. Quality of the food was surprisingly high with prices about half of what I would pay in the U.S. for a comparable meal. As a bonus, there is both an Italian and French bakery in town, as well; which allowed us to have freshly made pastries each day, along with my requisite latte. Again, prices were very reasonable. For a treat, we ate dinner a couple times at the Omni Hotel restaurant, which is adjacent to the Villi Mar grounds. Restaurant was very tastefully designed, with spectacular food, and the views of the sea were amazing. The owners of the condo happened to be there during our visit (they were in the unit below ours) and provided us with everything we could possibly need (snorkels, fins, etc). They even provided us with (3) 5 gallon containers of drinking water, which proved more than enough for our 5 day stay. Maid service was provided once (on day 3) of our stay and was adequate. On our last night, after eating at the Omni Hotel, we walked by the small Italian bakery and came upon some live music there. A singer, with a voice the quality of a Pavarotti, was belting out the most beautiful music (Andrew Lloyd Weber, etc . . .) I have ever experienced live. The dichotomy of seeing this world class singer, perform at this simple Italian bakery, was both profound and magical. This was the perfect ending to our magical Mexican vacation.
