First time to the Outer Banks and it’s no lie, you need a 4x4 vehicle to get to this property. Thankfully the host prepared us for what was coming. When asked in this review if the location was convenient, it’s really not “convenient” but it’s part of the experience of this location. Just be prepared to drive 30 minutes before reaching paved roads. The property itself was perfect. Absolutely beautiful house and location. It’s a walkable distance to the beach if you don’t feel like driving. Communication with the host was excellent. We would recommend this property to anyone.

Very accurate description. Loved the set up with the master suite on the third floor and the reat of the bedrooms on the second floor. Having bathroom by pool was excellent. We spent so much time out there and didn't need to run all the way in the house! Barbara was responsive to messages. It was included in palnning to bring your own beach towels, soaps & paper products which I think was very reasonable. There are 8 toilets in the house but were only 3 rolls of toilet paper. Would have been nice if there was one in each room. We did leave some behind for the next guests!

Fantastic and Fun

We loved staying out on the beach in this beautiful home! Lots of room for everyone to spread out, incredible views, well stocked kitchen, and a fun spot out in the sand. We would recommend this spot to anyone!

The house was amazing and perfect for our family of 14. Everything was clean when we arrived, the kitchen had everything you need to prep and cook meals. The fenced in pool/hot tub were clean and in great shape. It was super easy to walk to the beach or drive when we were feeling lazy. We will definitely look to book the property again for future trips to OBX.

This was our second time staying in this house and we loved it. This house is great- big beautiful rooms, pool and hot tub- most perfect space for a group our size! Owners very responsive! Would love to stay again

Beautiful home / unique retreat!

Wild horses, nice pool and hot run, gorgeous view, awesome beach, beautiful home with ant amenity you may need. This was a fun and very unique experience (4x4 beach) for our family.

Home was perfect for our family weekend getaway. It had Amazing views, the open floor plan made it perfect for family time. Home was clean, updated and filled with everything you would possibly need for your stay. We'll Be Back!!!

Amazing vacation in an amazing house!

Barbara was extremely Accommodating before and during our stay. She made our first experience with a VRBO rental effortless and enjoyable. The house was spotless and beautiful. The kids had a blast on the pool and LOVED seeing the horses roaming by the house and on the beach. We will definitely be back :)

Relaxing, Fun at the Beach, Pool at this fantastic Corolla beach house

The house, pool and hot tub were perfect, We had five kids, 8 adults and had plenty of room in the house. Incredible views, wild horses, easy walk to the beach and you can take your car to! We stayed a couple days in Nags Head and Kitty Hawk but this home in Corolla was by far the best place to stay. Our host was so accommodating. Our entire group gave this five stars. Our memories playing on the beach as a family are incredible.

Excellent home

We enjoyed every part of this vacation! Beach was wonderful! Driving on the 4x4 beach was a neat experience. Wild horses were around daily. House was stunning, clean, and had every amenity that you could think of. The owners immediately responded with any questions that we had. This home was perfect for our family vacation and we look forward to our return!

North Shore Dream

We had a great time in an amazing home. It is a unique experience staying on the 4x4 beach but we all loved it. The beach is easy to get to from the house via vehicle or walking and when you are there the view is perfect. Seeing the horses almost every morning made it even more priceless. We will definitely put this on the list for the years to come.

Peaceful Paradise

This home is a beautiful mansion and has everything you could want or imagine. We loved our time there and will be back very soon. The owner was amazing and went out of her way to help answer any questions we had about the house or things to do nearby. We absolutely loved this house, the beach, and watching the wild horses. 5 stars! We’ll be back!

Memory maker

Communication with Barbara was quick and responsive. House is beautifully appointed and kitchen well equipped. Loved that each bedroom has it's own ensuite. Elevator was a bonus to make packing/unpacking easy. Thank you for sharing your lovely place with us!

The house itself was stunning, as were the views, but the terrain to get there was pretty treacherous and the hosts did not give good enough instructions. Also, for how remote it is, they should be very explicit about the need to bring toilet paper and other essentials ("paper goods" is way too vague). Also be prepared to bring enough food for the stay and really look into how to drive in the sand before you go.
