Questo cottage appartato e tranquillo in una fattoria di hobby di 20 acri è la vacanza perfetta. Con percorsi pedonali dalla porta posteriore al Abbott's Mill Nature Center sulla proprietà adiacente, è perfetto per gli amanti degli uccelli, gli amanti della natura o semplicemente per una bella passeggiata.
Siamo a soli 15 minuti di auto dal complesso sportivo DE Turf su RT. 1 a nord di Milford e 35 minuti da Sports at the Beach vicino a Georgetown.
Il cottage è piccolo ma spazioso, con soffitto a volta e pianta aperta. C'è molta luce naturale con grandi finestre dappertutto e portefinestre sul bellissimo portico schermato. C'è una griglia a gas appena fuori dalla porta sul retro. Il portico offre una meravigliosa vita interna / esterna; i cervi possono spesso essere avvistati nel cortile alberato o nel prato sul retro. Anche i tacchini selvatici si presentano occasionalmente.
Il cottage è ombreggiato e climatizzato per meravigliose giornate e serate estive e il caldo pavimento radiante lo rende accogliente e caldo in inverno.
Fai una passeggiata fino al torrente sul retro della proprietà o passeggia attraverso i boschi fino al Abbott's Mill Nature Center. Abbott's è una riserva naturale di 313 acri e offre percorsi aperti al pubblico, un mulino conservato, uno stagno, prati, una collezione di animali e programmi educativi. Ospitano anche Music at the Mill in determinati fine settimana estivi.
Le spiagge dell'Oceano Atlantico e del Delaware Bay si trovano nelle vicinanze. Lewes (30 minuti), Rehoboth Beach (30 minuti) e Ocean City, Maryland (45 minuti) sono famose destinazioni balneari. Altre attrazioni vicine sono Cape Henlopen State Park, Killens Pond State Park e Cape May / Lewes Ferry. Le spiagge della baia di Delaware sono famose per la caccia al vetro del mare e distano solo 15-20 minuti.
Goditi lo shopping esente da imposte presso gli outlet di Tanger vicino a Rehoboth Beach.
Il centro di Milford dista 5 minuti in auto e offre caffetterie, negozi di antiquariato, barbieri, ristoranti e la passeggiata sul fiume Mispillion.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cozy cottage! The Miller’s exceeded all expectations with an immaculately clean home, beautiful property and awesome animals my 3 year old (and my wife and I lol) loved feeding and petting. Having small children, we were so happy that it was only 1 floor having great space for all of our needs including the screen room to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. We will most definitely be staying here again; My family and I can’t thank Duane and his family enough for such a lovely experience!

We are six moms who wanted a weekend away. We chose this cottage due to the presence of goats (who doesn’t love goats!) and were pleasantly surprised by having cows at our disposal, too! The cottage is located on a family property and has ample parking for multiple cars. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals; it has a keurig for morning coffee which we happily drank on the screened-in porch (under the watchful eye of the farm animals nearby at the fence!) You can access walking trails from the property which takes you to a nearby nature preserve- the walk is flat and very accessible. Less than a ten minute drive away is the town of Milford which had some super cute boutiques, antique stores, art galleries, and a great Mexican restaurant. The owners of the property, Duane and Theresa, were gracious, friendly and very accommodating. Clean-up and check-out were a breeze! Each of us intends to go back with our own families and we definitely want to spend another girls weekend here. We miss the animals already!

We have stayed here several times and will definitely stay here again. Home is clean and very welcoming. It has everything you need for day to day activities, whether you are cookimg and staying in or goimg out. Lots to do around the area, including nature hikes and many beaches within driving distance. My grandsons love all of the animals on the property. Guests are always friendly and accessible if you need them.

We had the most amazing stay at Miller Farms. The host was wonderful, the cottage was clean, well-stocked, charming and comfortable, and it was perfect for my family. We loved the cottage, which is in a perfect location. We were minutes away from the fairgrounds where we had a tournament, and the beaches were nearby as well. We could quickly and easily get any food or supplies that we needed, but the farm is surrounded by beautiful nature - it was the best of both worlds. Lastly, the cows and goats were so sweet and charming! This group of city people were delighted to get to interact with them, and the boys loved them so much, we heard them telling their teammates about them. . We hope to stay here for the future WKA tournaments, and had a the best visit to this lovely property.

In town for lax tournament, close to fields, Starbucks, gas, etc. very clean, spacious. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic!

Family of 5 in town for a lacrosse tournament at DE turf fields. Amazing location for this purpose. The house and property were awesome and clean. Our kids (even the teens) really enjoyed the farm animals! The home is in a quiet neighborhood and very close to everything in town. The owners are so nice too, and gave great suggestions for local sights. We will definitely look to stay here again if in the area, highly recommend!

Great, peaceful getaway

This was our third stay at Miller Farm. Awesome place to stay. Very peaceful, clean and you have everything you need. Duane and Teresa are wonderful hosts, very accommodating and helpful. They are a an available if you have questions. Looking forward to our return next year !

Cutest and Friendliest Stay

This was the absolute BEST place I have stayed away from home. The owners were EXTREMELY accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They even stepped in as much as to call around to their friends to find us a shower chair when I forgot to bring ours from home. They brought the kids corn hole to play. They made us feel more like family than guests. The cottage is also very handicapped/walker/wheelchair friendly.

Cozy cottage delight

We were just looking for something simple and local to the turf complex. I didnt realize when i booked how amazing the property is. We were greated by their goats and cat named double stuff. My 12 year old instantly fell in love and we all felt at home. I 100% recommend this space to anyone looking for a slice of heaven. We travel often and this experience was by far our families favorite.

Lacrosse family weekend

The cottage was perfect for our lacrosse weekend at DE Turf. Only 15 minutes to the fields. It was adorable and very clean. The hosts were very quick to respond if I had any questions. Feeding the animals was a bonus so don’t forget to pick up some apples and carrots on your way in.

Relaxing and peaceful

Great location! Close to everything we needed. Such a peaceful and beautiful property! We enjoyed relaxing on the screen porch and listening to the birds. The trails to the nature center we great!
