The host was very welcoming and left a gift for us. She checked in to make sure everything was in order. The place is very clean and located across the street from the beach.

This property worked out perfectly for our 2 week Christmas Holiday stay. The house had everything we needed to cook our own meals and to play at the beach. There was even a lovely Christmas tree set up which was a wonders addition. It was easy to find, access and communicate with owners. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

A nice place on the Space Coast

Our accommodation was very nice and in a great location. The owner/property manager was very friendly and helpful. All six of us in our group agreed that this will be the place to stay on our next fishing trip to the Space Coast area.

Stay

The check in process was easy. The house was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. It was in an ideal location for us, close to the beach and close to stores and everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again!

Updated cottage close to the beach

We enjoyed our stay with our family here. Owner had everything we needed, including beach chairs, umbrella, and toys to enjoy the beautiful beach in walking distance. The owner was easy to work with and took care of us. The house accommodated our extended family of eight well.

Great host! Older home with updates, open plan, well located in low key beach area, relaxing. Screened porch a bonus (but could use some TLC). Nice park nearby, can view post rocket launches from the driveway!

Spring Break getaway

The Blue Fin bungalow was perfect for our Spring Break getaway to visit Florida grandparents. The many beach items, close proximity to the beach, and quiet neighborhood were a wonderful addition to a lovely home that was well-suited for our needs. Impromptu and informal family gatherings were easily managed in the open kitchen and living area. We would definitely consider staying at this home again.

My family came to stay seven nights. Overall, the property and the location was very good. In order to access the beach by foot, turned out to be about a 10 to 15 minute walk. Here are a few of the pros and cons of the property.Pros : the layout of the house was very nice with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The size of the rooms were great, especially the large master suites. Loved the large kitchen table that accommodated all of our family. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you needed to cook at home every night. The washer and dryer were awesome and large enough to wash our beach towels every afternoon after the beach.Cons: one of the master king bed sheets were apparently not washed, and they were dirty and sand, and had to wash the linens off that bed, including the comforter, the first night of the stay. The inside windows of the house were very, very dirty and we had to wipe them down. The furniture that was shown in the pictures on the website were not accurate. The couch sectional in the living room and the sectional on the back patio were not the same furniture that was at our location when we stayed. The outside yard was also inaccurate and it needed some maintenance.

Belated family Christmas

Our family of 6 plus one infant enjoyed our 8 day stay at this home. We walked to the beach every morning to watch the sunrise and look for seashells. We looked for crabs in the evenings. We enjoyed many activities in Melbourne, Port Canaveral, and Vero Beach. The grocery store was only 5 minutes away. Thus, making it very convenient to stock up the kitchen. Our family looks forward to returning next winter.

Our second wonderful stay at the Blue Fin

This was our family's second time renting from Tesi and staying at the Blue Fin. Our family is grateful for the Blue Fin being our "home away from home." The house and amenities, as well as the close location to the beach, meet our family's needs beautifully. We are also impressed with renting from Tesi; communication is clear and any minor problems are immediately addressed. She provides toys and board games which is a plus since we don't need to take these items with us. A stroller and beach toys were also available. Tesi is from the area and lives close by, so it's great to get tips from a local. We are already planning to rent from Tesi a third time for our 2025 vacation to the Space Coast.

A bit dissatisfied

Overall the house was fine and our stay was good. Plenty of room for the 8 of us and everything was clean. Some updates have been done so it was pretty nice for an older home. Our biggest issue was the amenities listed was inaccurate. It indicated there was a communal pool but there wasn’t one in the community. One of the reasons we chose this house was because of that since we had our grandchildren with us. I did notify the owner and they apologized but didn’t offer any compensation for the error. Hopefully they’ve updated the listing.A minor issue but regular cable service is not available. Roku TV is and so are other options, such as Paramount, You Tube TV, etc as long as you have those pay services. The house is close to plenty of shopping and restaurants

There is a community pool in Gleason Park(which is in our digital guide) but not one in the neighborhood. We have since taken a look at our amenities page to make sure that is not confusing. Blue Fin Bungalow is ideal for families & beach time

Our family loved our stay at the Blue Fin Bungalow. It was ideal for our large family; we had plenty of space and beds. The owner, Tesi, was great about bringing over board games, a baby stroller, and beach toys. We also had a 3-in-1 game table. The home is beautifully decorated in beach themes which added to the coziness of it. The best part of our stay was the incredible communication and concern of Tesi. Through no fault of hers, we had an electrical outage which impacted the neighborhood for hours. Tesi was wonderful throughout the experience, including checking on us in person and lending us flashlights. She made things right about a situation that had been out of her control. In addition, she gave us numerous tips about area activities and dining. How blessed we were to have a vacation home owner who treated her guests like family! We definitely have plans to return to the Blue Fin. It is a very short walk to the beach & was truly a vacation. Thank you, Tesi & family.

Less than ideal

I generally overlook a few negatives in a property in favor of the bigger picture, but in the case of this house, I feel I need to disclose the whole story. My family and I stayed here for 5 days including a 4 month old baby. The host asked that we please treat her house as if it was her own and I wholeheartedly agreed. However, I'm sure that at her house, the sheets are not threadbare, the pillows aren't flat, and the towels aren't fit to be rags to wash the car. The kitchen was also poorly stocked, skillets that should have been thrown in the trash a long time ago, dull knives, only 4 small coffee mugs for 6 adults, etc. Since we were traveling with a baby we had to do laundry every evening, this was difficult because there was no laundry basket. On the positive side, the house was close to the beach but be aware that there is no sidewalk on the house side of the main road. We were close to shopping and restaurants and to Orlando attractions. The Kennedy Space Center is only 45 minutes away. My entire party agreed that this house could be perfect if the host would get the small things right.

This was a family vacation, we loaded up the freezer and fridge with groceries, 7 rib eye steaks, veggies salad, lots of chicken to BBQ, different kinds of ice cream for the celebration, lunch meat, yogarts, 3 family's coming together and h aving feasts, night time we went to have ice cream treat and it was runny, there fridge not working, All Our food warm and NO good, contacted host, she brought ice, meat and most items NO good, she said no worries we will refund you, we'll after 3 days ( all of the vacation) trying to get some kind of refund) host no longer communicating with us, so not recommending this place at all, house old not worth the money they charge

Great location!

We were only here for a short time due to an unexpected emergency back home, but we enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect - near lots of shops, restaurants and the beach. It also is not too far off I-95, which was important to us. The yard was perfect for our dog. House was well kept and had plenty of dishes, pots/pans, etc. Tessi was very responsive, which was much appreciated. We hope to be back for longer next time.

Fantastic Home away from Home

We enjoyed our stay at this location. You could easily walk to beach, which we did, but we drove if we were carrying along chairs, umbrella, etc. Lots of great places to eat. We tried several of the ones that they suggested and we weren't disappointed.

Birthday getaway

The home owner was great ! She worked with us on a last minute late checkout, however there was a miscommunication between home owner and housekeeping. She showed up at her normal time and we ended up rushing to gather our things and wait outside for our scheduled Ubers. The house is quite cute.and comfortable. Plenty of amenities for our 2 night stay. I do feel the information on location was a bit misleading. The beach is definitely more than a few minute walk as well as the few nearby restaurants. Overall, the house is great! Just wish the description of location was more accurate!

Wonderful family getaway

We really enjoyed the Blue Fin Cottage it was more than a cottage. It was my 70th birthday. Most of our family was there. We we’re excited about all the amenities the house had. However, I must say a few of the frying pans probably should be thrown away and the spice cabinet needs an overhaul. Our beds were comfortable, bedrooms were updated, internet was more than sufficient for our needs , the ocean play things and coolers were definitely appreciated. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Quiet location for family stay

Extended family and friends stayed here with us for our son's wedding. We have stayed in a lot of vacation rental homes and used to be hosts ourselves, and this one is comfortable and a good value for the price, with basic amenities. A lovely bottle of wine and some snacks were waiting for us when we arrived. The house is older (most windows, patio door) but spacious and remodeled in the kitchen and other rooms. The beds were comfortable though some linens (shams etc.) were a bit worn out. It's a short walk to the public beach (across the A1A and down past a couple of buildings). There is a crosswalk with two big flashing signs to stop traffic, which was great. The screened-in porch had some small holes/tears in some of the screens--since it was January (no bugs) it wasn't an issue for us--and though not a huge disappointment for our group, the foosball table pictured in the listing was not there. To be fair, we didn't have time to contact the host about it due to wedding preparations. When we did have occasion to contact her (arrival and departure), she responded quickly. The neighborhood is very quiet and the yard is charming with plenty of flowering bushes even in January. We appreciated that there were a few beach chairs in the garage and lots of beach towels. Tesi provides a booklet with a lot of information about the house and area which was very helpful. All in all a nice stay in Melbourne.
