Peaceful location if you want away from the noise of Gatlinburg.

We enjoyed our stay. The steepness of the one lane road will blind hills were challenging and very difficult at night, but we managed. After one night we didn’t stay out after dark again…

We do make guests aware of the steep mountain road leading to the cabin in our listing description so they know what to expect before booking. Many of our previous guests also mention the road in their reviews, with most agreeing that the beautiful setting, privacy, and peaceful surroundings make the drive well worth it! Mountain roads can certainly take some getting used to, especially after dark. We appreciate you choosing to stay with us and hope you'll visit again, just maybe in a lower cabin!

We loved our trip to Townsend and our stay at Piper’s Place. It was clean, cozy, and beautiful. The Mountain View and hot tub were both amazing. Easy to communicate with our host and they were always quick to respond!!

Host is very good and property was very nice. Cabin is just a little hard to get to, especially in rain or the dark, as it is very uphill so plan accordingly

Enjoyed our stay! Quaint and cozy cabin. Well stocked for our needs! Definitely steep roads getting into property, but we managed fine without 4WD at this time of year.

Great Stay

We had a great stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin was perfect. It was very clean. Loved the fire place and the vaulted ceiling. Bed was comfy. Enjoyed being in the tree tops while having my morning coffee. Cathy is quick to respond. Thank you for a great experience.

Perfect getaway for our long weekend!

Stayed in town for a Bronco event, cabin was super close, just outside of Townsend. It was just as described. Make sure you follow the directions they send you and don’t follow GPS. Definitely a steep incline to get to the cabin but worth the drive up for sure!!

Mountain weekend get a way

Bathroom sink leaked. Kitchen floor needs replaced in places feels like floor going collapse. Mirrors on fireplace need cleaned. Loved location enjoyed relaxing. Would go again

Nice place

Everything was great, other than the parking was very steep downward hill. Minor inconvenience with hot tub not warming up past 90 degrees but nothing major at all.

Oh my

It is a steep driveway. It would have been nice if there was a level spot other than 2feet in front of steps. The hot looked like it wasn't clean. I used it it was all right . I will not stay there again. Driveway to steep for me.

Yes this cabin does have a steep driveway. It is stated in the ad on a couple occasions and is included in just about every review. It should not be a surprise to anyone. Our hot tubs are cleaned and treated between every single guest. We are glad that you were able to use it and enjoy the space.

Cute, but bad customer service.

The cabin was clean and very cute, but the hot tub was green. Tried to contact someone several times and no one ever returned our call. Customer service is not very good. I would stay in this cabin again if it wasn’t for that.

I am so sorry that you did not get a response concerning your hot tub. We answer the phone from 8am until 10pm daily. We did not receive any messages about your hot tub so I wonder if maybe you were calling the wrong number. Sometimes the phones are very busy and go to voicemail but we check for messages right away and even sometimes call back numbers that don’t leave a message. Again, I am sorry that this happened to you. We will use this as a learning experience and always strive to do better.

I did not like the fact that you almost needed 4 wheel drive just to get to the cabin. It should have been explained better. We were in a truck but it was not 4x4 and we could not make the last turn without slipping so we have to go straight up and make a 3 point turn just to make the hill.

Much Needed Getaway

My husband and I needed to get away for a couple of days and staying here was awesome. The cabin was clean and more than I expected. I would highly recommend.
