We had a great experience! The property and host Marcia and Eric were awesome. Great people! Really enjoyed meeting them. Very hospitable and accommodating. The views were amazing. We fell in love with the property and area. Wish we had more time. Went by too fast. Already thinking about a return trip with the family. I was very impressed, blessed and thankful. You would be hard pressed to find anything better. Wildlife and beauty of the property/area was just amazing. I can’t say enough. Thank you!

We reserved both cabins on the property, and they were perfect for our small family gathering. They are on a beautiful, quiet piece of property that feels secluded yet is very accessible. The cabins were clean inside and out; beautifully decorated, both great layouts, comfortable beds, plenty of comfortable seating inside & out, fully equipped kitchens, books, games, etc...Our hosts were friendly and hospitable, and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

This is more like home, not a cabin! Description is very accurate. Owners are very generous with all supplies, and recreational extras. Local stores and restaurants are easily accessible while cabin is secluded. We had to pry ourselves away to go home. We can't wait to go back!

Beautiful cabin in the woods!

We loved the secluded area and large deck. The fire pit was well stocked with wood and made for fun family nights. The cabin was clean and had all the necessities to really make it a home away from home. The host was very welcoming. We truly enjoyed our stay!

A pristine, well-stocked, lovely cabin in an absolutely gorgeous, peaceful setting. Wonderful, patient and generous hosts. A great escape; wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended!

Relaxing and Fun!

This beautiful cabin is well stocked and the floor plan is lovely, taking full advantage of the beautiful wooded view. Easy access to town and the water. We enjoyed the peace and quiet as well as the water access to launch our kayaks. Owners are wonderful to work with!

Beautiful and Winsome Cabin

Simple and refreshing cabin tucked away in the mountains surrounded by wildlife, rivers, and beauty. Perfect location for our family. A place to disconnect and reconnect with the things that truly matter. Kitchen is fully stocked and we really enjoyed our time there! Thank you!

Perfect place to getaway from it all

We loved our stay at Twenty Odd base camp. We rented the Ursa and Wapiti cabins. Both cabins were beautiful, spacious, clean and well stocked with all the basics. We loved having all the water toys and accommodations at the lake as well as the mountain bikes. The owners are fantastic! We hope to make it back someday! Thank you for an awesome stay! Book 20 Odd Base Camp!!!

Wonderful cabins and great hosts! Our family of four had the opportunity to stay in both cabins at 20 Odd and you can’t go wrong with either. Well appointed with everything you need. Communication with the hosts was easy and Eric was very nice to stop by to make sure we had what we needed. Hope to stay here again!

The property sits in the wilderness area which has great roads, great views from the porch and from the picture window and is completely quiet. No noise at all except for the turkeys in the morning :-) we saw wild turkeys young deer, and other beautiful birds and wildlife. The hosts were good and helped us. We would recommend this and we told them we would stay there again Earl

Incredible Property. Perfectly designed for a quiet escape

The property is well laid out with gorgeous views and active wildlife. The Ursula cabin is perfectly designed for a quiet family getaway. I appreciated the attention to detail. A perfect mix of charming decor and high quality craftsmanship made the place feel like a well loved family treasure. We spent our days on the water and enjoyed the quiet evenings on the deck. The place was well equipped and well thought out. Our stay felt like we’d been coming there for years. We’ll certainly be back!

Best weekend of the year

Just want to say that this place will exceed your expectations. My wife and I grew up in the area, and only get to visit once or twice a year... We were looking for a place that had easy access, plenty of room for our local friends and family to visit, and ideally we wanted direct access to the Noxon Reservoir to play on the water - this place has it all! The cabins seem brand new, well stocked, and spotless. The pavilion/private dock was the perfect spot to spend the day before returning in the evening to cook, visit, and enjoy the camp fire. Thanks again to our great hosts - we will definitely be back!

AMAZING!

What a wonderful experience we had at Trout Creek! We wanted to unplug from all the craziness in the world right now. This is the perfect place. Greg and Marcia are wonderful hosts. They made us feel so welcome and provided great advice on hikes, places to see, and restaurants. The cabin and grounds the BEST accommodations we have ever found in this price range. I can't think of one thing that was lacking in amenities, except for Verizon cell phone range - which actually was a blessing! I could go on and on, but I would HIGHLY recommend this as the perfect relaxing getaway.

Perfect Quiet Getaway

Our family loves getting away from busy city life to this beautifully decorated cabin in the woods. A quick drive down to the dock for kayaking, swimming, paddle boarding,fishing and exploring. A nice hike up to lookout was a good workout and the views amazing. We saw plenty of deer, wild turkeys, blue heron, turtles plus the resident rabbits and Rudy (dog). Not many places to eat so we went to grocery store and had food at the cabin. The s’mores were great and the owners and family were so welcoming and inviting. Next time it’s a hike up and a glass of wine. Thanks for letting us paint rocks to add to your collection!! We loved our stay and will miss Trout Creek!

Outstanding stay!

My family and I stayed at the cabin and absolutely enjoyed it. This was the first time using VRBO so we didn’t really know what to expect but the owner was fantastic and made everything very straightforward and was very hospitable and accommodating. The cabin literally had pretty much everything you would need as far as pots and pans, towels, extra blankets and even some spices. The location was perfect. Far enough away from town but still close enough to get some groceries and such. There was even a dock you could go to that had paddle boards and some kayaks. We didn’t use them just because we have family in the same area but it was nice to know it was available if we wanted. I would rate this cabin and the owner a 10/10. Look forward to going back and hopefully soon.

Fantastic experience! A+

So many great things to say about this property, starting with the cabin. Amazing. It's like new, and beautifully decorated and fully stocked with everything one could possibly need. This property is meticulously maintained. Far exceeded expectations. Next, the setting in the woods is beautiful, and very close to the lake. You have your own private access to the lake. Perfect for families. So much to see and do, we will be coming back for more. So quiet and peaceful. Finally, Eric (the owner) is a great guy. He makes sure you're taken care of, have all you need, and he has so many great suggestions for things to do, and places to see in the area. Gracious host. He also happens to have the coolest little dog you'll ever meet, named Rudy. Overall, a true A++ experience. We're looking forward to out next visit.

Exceptional Getaway

I've honestly struggled to write this review, as this was by far one of the best places I have ever stayed. Trying to explain the level of service, and how beautiful and well appointed the property is... is incredibly difficult. The Craftsmanship of the accommodations is what stuck out the most to me, hand hued logs, beautiful manicured landscaping, and the pride of ownership stuck out the most. The Ursa cabin we had was incredibly well appointed, and absolutely gorgeous. The kitchen was extremely well stocked, we enjoyed cooking steak, and chicken Osaka. The Dance hall was amazingly fun as the host has an incredible sound system that we turned into our own private karaoke party. The many party games available plus the ability to ask the host for anything we were missing made this stay incredibly enjoyable. Between, bbq, kayaking, singing, yard games, and exploring we could have easily stayed an additional 2 or 3 days and still leave wanting. I cannot provide enough positive feedback, and would encourage anyone looking to have a dude ranch experience without the excessive cost, to certainly book this property. I would assume this will become a very difficult place to book in the future when word gets out. Thank you for the wonderful stay, looking forward to our next trip to 20 odd base camp!

We loved our stay at Ursa! Because it was in close proximity to relatives property, we spent more time at their place, so we didn't really get the chance to enjoy the games or waterfront offerings at Twenty-Odd Base Camp. Hopefully next time! We will definitely book a return stay!

Quite honeymoon getaway

My wife and I looked for a quite secluded getaway to spend our honeymoon away from the busyness of life. We couldn’t have chosen a better place. This beautiful property is only approximately 5 miles from town but nestled away on a 90 acre tract of land with only one other cabin and the owners residence. Plenty of privacy and the rustic cabin is fabulous! Enjoy your evenings sitting around a table on a covered porch watching the wildlife. Deer, elk, bear, turkeys, and an array of songbirds and hummingbirds entertained us daily. The host are genuine and extremely friendly. We left feeling like we have known them for a long, long time. Eric and Marcia we will see you again next year! Blessings our new friends!

Peaceful

Chalet tout confort au milieu de la forêt dans une belle vallée du Montana. Très calme, « visite « journalière de biche, faon, colibri…Lac à cinq minutes en voiture avec ponton privé et possibilité de canoë, paddle…et vue magnifique. Enfin super accueil de Eric et Martia toujours prêt à vous aider et vous conseiller …. voir vous emmener en balade pour admirer le coucher de soleil et observer les étoiles !
