This is in a great location - near central campus. We enjoyed being in the neighborhood. It's very nice to have the patio - we spent a lot of time there. The rooms are good - we used both bedrooms. The bathroom has been remodeled and is very nice. The kitchen has a good coffee maker, a fridge and a microwave but isn't set up for cooking (the sink is down the hall). Nan, the hostess, is wonderful. She is very personable and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

The apartment was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Nancy was very helpful and easy to contact. The place is in a great location. It’s walkable to campus and the arboretum is just steps away. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect stay in Ann Arbor

The apt is in a lovely neighborhood and has a beautiful outdoor patio which we enjoyed. The owners were kind and checked with us during our stay to make sure everything was great. The apt is actually better looking than the online photos. We would and will stay here again and again.

Our rental was cozy and comfortable, and close to downtown Ann Arbor. We enjoyed the pleasant surroundings while we sat at the patio and read. Communication with our host was a breeze. We'll be back!

Quiet residential neighborhood close to campus

Very nice, comfortable place with pretty backyard patio. Ideal for people wanting to visit campus. A stones throw from the arb, 15 min walk to campus or burns park area. Owners very helpful and responsive.

Really warm and inviting space in a beautiful and natural setting (edge of Arboretum) just adjacent (southeast) from campus. Property serene, safe, easy parking and just steps from gate/door leading into rental. All areas of rental were clean, and everything was working. Hosts very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Main bed comfortable and this is saying a lot as my husband has a sensitive back (needs firm, but mattress was surprisingly firm enough for him but not too firm for me). Only constructive feedback: maybe a few simple updates to main bedroom furniture (chair and couch) would be helpful as not actually comfortable to sit inside when raining. The outdoor patio was a lovely space to visit with group of four (afternoon appetizers). The cricket/nature sounds at night were charming and enjoyed watching the squirrels playing together in the trees surrounding the back of the home. All-around gem. I think a female would feel very safe lodging here if traveling alone.

Arborteum

We loved the setting--quiet, mature trees in the neighbourhood, trails, and little traffic. The outdoor patio was a favourite afternoon reading spot.

Great spot for easy walking access to A2 attractions/events.

We loved the newly renovated bathroom and ability to do laundry. The apartment had everything needed for a pleasant stay. We were happily surprised by the frige and coffee—the listing did not prominently indicate these were included. The owners were friendly and responsive.

Quiet, cozy place in beautiful neighborhood

This is a lovely lower level unit in a beautiful neighborhood. Quiet but a short and pretty walk to South campus, and right by the Arboretum. About a five minute drive to Trader Joes or Whole Foods. Very comfortable. Owners very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend.

University of Michigan graduation

From the very beginning Nan was very attentive and quick to respond to questions and needs. The property is private, the grounds are beautiful. Unfortunately, it rained most of the weekend. There is a seating area on the patio that can be enjoyed.

Very nice property Very nice family They were available for check-in and promptly replaced our coffee pot when we let them know it wasn’t working Close, walk to the Arboretum and much of the downtown areas They even brought us some disposable dishware upon request so we didn’t have to wash dishes

Comfortable, no-frills guest apartment

The apartment served as a great place to stay off-campus but convenient to UM via a pleasant 15 min walk and very close to the lovely Botanical Gardens. The apartment is the ground floor/basement of a family home. It is comfortable, pleasant, no-frills, slightly worn, thoroughly clean, with friendly and communicative owners. The access lock can be a little tricky.

We're glad you enjoyed your stay. To clarify for future guests: our property is on a steep slant, so the apartment itself is a walkout to a patio and has windows on three sides. Because of the slant, the bathroom is indeed in the basement, but the bedrooms are almost entirely above ground.

Oregon Ducks in Ann Arbor

If you are going to a game it is a great location! A fairly easy walk to a downtown area that has lots of food and beverages choices. It is probably .78 mile walk to this downtown area and another 1.25 mile walk from their to the game. Hosts are great people. The place is a tad rustic (Historic Home) and does not have a true kitchen, but a small fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. The only set back is the basement area with laundry room is a shared space, therefore, you could run into hosts while using bathroom or laundry. BUT, they are wonderful and very cognoscente of of guests. Very affordable rustic place in a beautiful area near part of campus.

Very bare bones. Although there is a fridge and a microwave, there is no sink (except for the bathroom and one down the hall in laundry room) so you couldn't realistically prepare food there. The coffee maker was not functioning. But it was very clean, with an updated and attractive bathroom, and the bed was very comfortable. Felt very private. Parking was easy. Enjoyed easy access to the Arb. For whatever reason, VRBO failed to send me the entry code, but Nan was very quick to sort that out with a single email from me.

Visiting son at UM/Ann Arbor

It was quite last minute that my sis and I decided to drive to Ann Arbor to visit my son at UM. Given the Holiday and football we were delighted and surprised to find this accommodation. The clean 2 bedroom apartment with a separate entrance in a quiet family home worked well for us. We had our privacy as well as a sense of comfort/security being in a family home. Nan and Ian were welcoming and very attentive. It is always so nice not to have to worry about any basics including coffee! Since we stayed almost 2 weeks we made use of the washer, microwave, and mini fridge. The neighborhood is ideal within walking distance to downtown, UM and the Arboretum. Overall we loved our stay!

A beautiful home and neighborhood

My brother and I booked this property because our cousin goes to UofM and lives very close by. The property was perfect for our needs and the owners were very kind, accommodating, and communication was very easy.

Central location and peaceful setting.

This homey and comfortable residence is set in an ideal location, central to all things University of Michigan and Ann Arbor. The guest entrance and patio is private and quiet and nestled in a park-like atmosphere. Nan was receptive and responsive in all aspects of communication and hospitality. I will definitely be staying here again on future visits!
