We loved having access to Pine Mountain Lake. It was a quick drive to multiple beaches that were clean and well maintained. The house had everything that we needed and the owner was very responsive.

Groveland is the perfect and affordable place to stay if you plan on going to Yosemite. This home was only about 40 minutes from the park and an easy drive. It was clean and fun to have the pool table and ping pong table available. There is a 50 community charge for access to their pools and beaches, but we did not have time to enjoy these. I would stay here again if we are in the area.

Home was as described . Had all the essentials and then some including beach chairs that we were able to use. I loved the home so much that we rented 2x within 1 month. Host was very easy to deal with. Will definately recommend and will definately come back again. Thank You Alan.

Great Place

What a great place to stay! Everything you need in a home away from home. Although it is a bit dated, the beds are comfortable and the price is right.

A new potential customer brought this review to my attention today. While the review overall is very positive he expressed concern that the furnishings might "be dated" and my photos several years old. I assured him that this is not the case. My guess is the reviewer may have been reacting to several 19th century photographs hanging in the entrance way. These are of some of my early American ancestors. In that regard, I will probably remove them the next time I'm at the house. But nearly all of the actual photos of our home used in our VRBO ad were taken in August 2013 which was the last time I visited there. All of the furniture and beds are in excellent condition and the kitchen is very well equipped.

Always a great time at the Millers!

This was our third stay at the Millers and we love this place. It was perfect for our family Christmas getaway. The place is clean and comfortable. The property owners are great.

Really disappointed with this family. They left our front door WIDE OPEN when checking out! My housekeeper sent me a photo after not going there to clean for several days after check out. Two days ago, I did notice my Smart Lock app showing it was unlocked and so I engaged the lock remotely. I guess someone was in a big hurry. Please don’t rent from me if you don’t have the courtesy to do something important like closing and locking the door. I am not just an owner, but also a VRBO rental customer myself. And I am ALWAYS very security conscious to confirm that doors and windows of the places I rent are secured prior to checkout.

Great stay and the owner is very nice to make you feel stay at home!

I spent three days in the house and still did not think it is enough. We stayed as comfortable as at home. We mainly stayed here for visiting Yosemite. It is only 30-min drive to Yosemite and very convenient. I would definitely recommend the house to my friends if they are visiting Yosemite or some vocation place.

Girls weekend our 44th year together so housed served its purpose. The is house is a bit older but we liked it. Driveway is super steep but I'm older and more nervous about that but we managed ok. Area is very beautiful. House was well stocked.

Great stay for our Yosemite travels

Everything went super smoothly. Excellent communication with property owner. Plenty of room for our family to rest and reset after long days exploring Yosemite. Everyone we met in Groveland was super friendly and helpful! Enjoyed Iron Door Saloon for lunch, Pizza Pie place for takeout, cute coffee shop in town with amazing cinnamon rolls! Would definitely recommend for families looking for place to stay while visiting the National Parks.

Pine Mountain lake summer vacation

This was our second time staying at Alan and Susan's house. We like the location and the house is kept clean and well maintained. We took advantage of many of the activities that Pine mountain lake offers and had a great experience. We enjoyed horse back riding, going to the lake and pool, hiking and also visited Yosemite a few times. Alan, the owner of this property, is very helpful in answering any questions and concerns. We had a wonderful time and we will definitely recommend this property to our friends and family.

Perfect

This is an amazing property. The location is perfect for visiting Yosemite and makes a super comfortable place to end your day. My only regret is we couldn't stay longer. I can't say enough good things about the home. The owner's communication is excellent. The beds are comfortable. The home is clean. Try 2 Guys Pizza and don't be fooled by the grocery store. Teenagers at Yosemite

Property was as described and exactly what we needed for our stay. Great location, clean and well maintained home, and had everything we needed. Communication was fast, clear, and detailed. Closest you'll get to the park while 'in town' and close to supplies, gas, and groceries. Safe and quiet, with the benefit of laundry and a home kitchen. Gated community was nice, but the only negative was finding out about the HOA usage fee for guests beforehand. Understandable, just wish it was factored in with the booking. Would definitely stay here again.

Thanks very much for your kind review! Unfortunately, the good and bad of it is that we are located in California, land of excessive taxation and fees. All our roads and facilities are private and are maintained by our HOA, not the state. Every year our HOA has raised the fees charged to both owners and renters. As a property owner our annual fee per property is now $3,128 for 2024 and a guest renter fee is now $46 per vehicle which is valid for a maximum of one week. We do disclose information in all our advertising about these fees. To make matters worse, recently PML owners received notice that all private insurance companies have rescinded our fire insurance. As a result, last month we had to pay the state entity known as "CA FAIR" $3,300 for for fire insurance coverage in 2024.
