Perfect place for all ages!

Our extended family, ages 3 - 92, spent a wonderful week at Boulder Lake! Chris is an excellent, responsive host and his home is exactly as advertised. We enjoyed the pool, boating on the lake, and the many attractions in the area. All in all, a great place for a family vacation!

Perfect Mountain Retreat

The property was amazing. Clean, proper, affordable, and all of the appliances/amenities worked perfectly. We really couldn't have asked for a better property. Passes to the Big Boulder Lake Club never disappoint either.

Excellent experience!

Chris was fantastic to work with, always responding quickly and doing his best to make sure experience was the best. House was great. Great location. Some of the beds could use updated/softer mattresses, but zero complaints otherwise. Would stay again!

Great Location and Amenities, But Property Could Use Some TLCWe enjoyed our stay overall, especially the convenient location and community amenities. The townhouse is centrally located near some excellent hiking destinations, including Hickory Run State Park and nearby nature preserves, making it a great home base for outdoor activities.Pros:Spacious townhouse with plenty of room for our group.Nice outdoor deck that was great for relaxing.The community offers access to a pool, lake, and a tavern/bar by the lake, which were all enjoyable amenities.The host was very responsive. When we experienced an issue with a toilet, they quickly arranged for property management to come out and resolve it.Convenient location close to hiking trails and outdoor attractions.Cons:The townhouse is somewhat dated and would benefit from renovations and a deep cleaning. We noticed dust, some mold, and peeling wallpaper in a few of the bathrooms.The home had a slight musty odor throughout our stay.One of the bedrooms is located in the basement and only appears to have access via the main staircase, which may be a concern for some guests.The listing and house book state that there are 8 pool passes included, but only 6 were actually provided. We had to purchase the additional two passes ourselves.The community dumpster and garbage collection area are directly across the street. While convenient for trash disposal, garbage pickup occurs early and can be quite noisy.

House was great , there were 8 of us. Great time, very nice to have access to the pool and lake. Should be more washcloths, as well as pillow cases (extra) freezer not working, talked with owner, it was being replaced after our stay. Someone should be taking inventory over things more closely. All n all still very nice place.

Exactly as listed!

Great townhouse for a summer getaway with passes included to lake club. Everything you can possibly need is included in the rental. Owner is so easy to work with and responds quickly to questions. Highly reccomend. Only note of caution to those not familiar with the Poconos, this rental is a 25 minute drive to many of the Pocono attractions. Closer to Jim Thorpe, which we love!

House Needs Attention

The house needs a spring cleaning. There were moldy shower curtains, loose shelves on the wall, dirty baseboards, dirty spot on master rug, low wattage lightning, etc. The kitchen was fully complimented, sheets were very soft and comfortable, and towels were soft and new.

The property was in a great location and had lots of space and bedrooms as advertised. However, there were a few issues some may see as minor, but would have brought my score to 10/10. There were minimal towels and not enough for the pool/beach. There was no ice in the freezer and no ice trays to make ice, so we had to buy bags. There was no soap in the showers so we had to purchase that as well. Again, not major, but had we known in advance we would have provided our own. Also, the kitchen counter has seen better days and the Mr Coffee machine didn’t work at all. There was a Keurig machine, but the few k-cups there were not to our liking and also had we known we would have provided our own. I raise these issues as constructive criticism because many other places we’ve stayed either had the items or told us in advance so that we would provide our own.
