Questa isola di 4 ettari e mezzo si trova a sole tre ore a nord-ovest di Minneapolis in una parte molto interessante del Minnesota. Mentre ci sono aree erbose aperte intorno alle tre autentiche casette di legno, i bordi più vecchi dell'isola sono stati seduti in fiori selvatici e l'intero effetto è magico. Lascia che i tuoi bambini e i tuoi cani vaghino liberi senza preoccuparti di incontrare altri.

All'interno della cabina principale troverai decine di pezzi d'antiquariato ferroviari e memoribilia per intrattenere i bambini di tutte le età! Le autentiche baite sono state realizzate dalle famiglie Amish nei primi anni 2000 e sono bellissime. Le cabine sono climatizzate e dispongono di Wi-Fi e sono molto confortevoli. L'isola ha anche una sauna in tronchi di cedro tagliata a mano che ha una comoda sauna elettrica a pochi metri da dove è possibile saltare nel lago e nuotare fino al nostro molo galleggiante. Il gioiello dell'isola è la casa da tè situata nel centro dell'isola. Questo è un capolavoro unico nel suo genere di design e artigianato e mette in mostra un'area protetta nel caso in cui le zanzare siano in vigore (di solito le zanzare vengono spazzate via dall'isola in una brezza).

Ci sono più giochi da giardino forniti e ti garantiremo un soggiorno meraviglioso in questo paradiso unico nel suo genere.

This was a really cool property! Great environment to hang out with our family. We were there in October so swimming was limited but we'd love to come back in the summer to experience that a bit more. Having the whole Island to ourselves was very fun and unique--the kids loved it. Kris was great to communicate with. Only issue was with a couple of the pontoons but Kris seems on top of ensuring this is being managed and worked with us on a refund. Great stay overall.

Relaxing Getaway

My family and I spent most of our time on the lake fishing but still enjoyed some time on the island. Most everything was good, no big complaints. Our biggest struggles were that the instructions were a bit scattered and outdated. We had a little trouble figuring out how to get heat in our cabin until we realized the breaker was off. Overall though, a great vacation!

Island Retreat

We enjoyed ur stay on the Island. Quiet , private and peaceful. We are a large family and it was nice to have the space to share and enjoy with all their different activities.

Family vacation

This was a great property for a family vacation. Large enough to accommodate all 12 of us comfortably. The cabins are comfortable and very user friendly. Host was great and very accommodating. The tea room was a favorite gathering spot.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful Oasis. It was fun exploring the island, playing cards in the Tea House, Taking Sauna's and jumping in the lake, Evening fires, and checking out the lake via pontoon, and just plain relaxing. Thanks Chris

Great extended family getaway

We had three generations of family stay on the island for a long summer weekend. There was lots of space to spread out for games, reading, napping, and kids and dogs running around the yard. We hung hammocks in the trees, had fires at night, gathered for meals in the guest cabin, and played games in the tea house. The water in Long Lake was so clean so we really enjoyed a lot of swimming and fishing. Beautiful property!

Fantastic Island

Island Paradise

This was our 2nd year coming to the island for our family get away. No one was disappointed! Great swimming, great fishing, great property. Plenty of room for all 11 of us. We will be back.

Perfect Spot

Beautiful setting. The cabins and "outbuildings" were in excellent condition. Loved watching the family fish on the pontoon from the wildflower bench. Swimming area was nice. Great to have the swimming dock. The family spent a bunch of time in the tea house - playing games, putting puzzles together, and relaxing. Great fishing.

Perfect for Big Families

This "island getaway" was everything we hoped. It was perfect for our big family to relax and enjoy nature. It was wonderful to have so much space to spread out and so many different activities for all age levels - boating, games in the tea room, campfires, walks, swimming, yard games, and reading in the hammocks. Truly the Minnesota paradise we were looking for!

Paradise

The pictures and description are completely accurate when describing this wonderful island paradise. The cabins are comfortable and well equipped with room for everyone to spread out and do their own thing or gather in the Tea House and play games on a rainy day. We had a fantastic week hanging out with family, fishing, and just relaxing away from real life for a while.

Unique Island Stay

We loved our stay on the island. I have never experienced anything like it. I would like to come back again and enjoy all the different seasons here but it was great in the summer. Chris was helpful getting us all set up and getting the boat over to the island. The property was beautiful and private and the cabins were very nice. We especially loved the tea house and spent a lot of time there. My kids and dogs loved being able to run around the island and explore and then jump in the water to cool off.

Amazing Family Spot

We all loved the Great Northern Island! It is the perfect place for a large group to get together. Plenty of room for games together or quiet alone time. The property is beautiful and the cabins are lovely. The tea room was a perfect gathering spot for all 11 of us when the rain came in. The owner is very responsive and great to work with!

Great Northern Island

This is quite a place to visit and unforgettable. You arrive by boat and have the whole island to your selves . Fishing is good, neighborhood is quiet, and the hammock is comfortable . Nothing like waking up to go enjoy your coffee in the Tea House and the kiddos are enjoying the tire swing. The cabins were comfortable and felt like home. We hope to return !

Our family had a wonderful time on your island!

This property fit our family’s needs perfectly. There is so much to do from fun on the water to yard games to puzzles and board games in the tea room. The peacefulness of the island was just what our family needed!

Wonderful

We were happy to see it was every bit as wonderful as it looked, every family member from 8 to 80 enjoyed it. The Lake was excellent fishing and swimming. Quiet, well equiped with games for everyone and not a dull moment. We highly recommend the Island Experience!

There is nothing like an island. When I stumbled across it, having a cabin property was the last thing I ever wanted but when I saw it for the first time across the bay of the lake in it's primitive form, I changed my tune and my life as it has been a work of love.
