Amazing Villa for the Perfect Vacation!
Our family loved our stay at Villa 1 of Las Ventanas! The villa itself was luxurious, and beautifully decorated, and Las Ventanas itself is beautifully landscaped and immaculately maintained. The beds and bedrooms of the villa were super comfortable, the baths modern and large, and the kitchen was well-stocked and opened to a spacious great room with beautiful views of the garden areas. Although we had originally picked Las Ventanas because of its close proximity to amazing Carrillo Beach, in truth, we loved Las Ventanas so much we stayed most of our time there! We enjoyed playing tennis in the mornings and evenings, and the huge community pool is simply out-of-this world -- pictures and words cannot do it justice. There are also several cabanas with hammacks in the open garden area next to the pool with amazing views to the local beaches and mountains that made for idyllic afternoon retreats. The villa was equipped with lots of towels, pool floats, tennis rackets and balls, so we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. There is also a beautiful lake at Las Ventanas, with paddle boards for guests, an open air gym, and an amazing barbecue area. Albert, the concierge, was extremely helpful and gracious. We were delayed in our arrival flat tire on our way from Liberia), so we arrived very late to the villa and Albert had a huge basket of fruit and other tasty treats waiting for us since we didn't have time to stop at the local store. What a lifesaver! He also arranged for a chef to make a traditional Costa Rican dinner for us one night that was not only amazingly delicious, but there was so much food we had plenty left-over for a second entire dinner the following night. Albert was always available at a moment's notice to make sure we had everything we needed for a fabulous vacation, and his restaurant recommendations were spot-on -- some of the best dining we've had in Costa Rica. Our family looks forward to returning someday to Las Ventanas -- it's a magical place!
