Little beach house #3

Wonderful house just steps to the beach!

The house was large and super cute! There is a pool right in front of the house which was great for the kids. The pool was never super busy and there were always chairs available. The beach was a short walk from the house and it was a wonderful get-away!

Perfect house for large family

This house was perfect for our large family. We appreciated the openness of the family living area and love the on site amenities at the Plantation.

Spacious!!

We have a big family and there was plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable and share a space. We were right in front of the pool which is also a plus!!

Good rental!

Two refrigerators which was great as we eat in most of the time. Short walk to the beach, indoor and outdoor pools, view of the golf course on the back deck while watching the sunset. Contacts were attentive all needs (coffee pot malfunction-replaced same day which was huge for the coffee drinkers, also addressing shower pressure and warmth in master bedroom for future guests). Plenty of seating and loved the open concept for our family.Great stay!

Nice house, only think I would like is a covered entrance/exit. Stairs were slick in the rain with elderly family. But nice house, clean pools, nice facilities and on the beach

The most amazing shower!

We stayed in the same cottage last year! I was excited to see the master bathroom was updated. Shower size was increased and a more updated deep tub was added. I love the full wall added for privacy! We enjoy that the home has two refrigerators. The home is conveniently located across from the pool and the walk to the beach is easy! I love how the kitchen has everything needed except for an ice make in the freezer! We would stay again.

Mouse trouble

The bushes at the driveways need to be removed before i return. A mouse chewed wiring in my engine and left my car un-drivable. The entire complex is over run with mice. Beware! I

Property is "okay"

The house was just "okay." The location to the pool and hot tub was great. Location to beach is a short walk. The space of the house and layout was wonderful, plenty of space for everyone without being on top of each other. The decks were so nice and really enjoyed them. My biggest complaint was the cleanliness, especially during covid-19. Bathrooms were dirty, kitchen appliances were dirty, walls had food and dirt everyone little hands could touch. Washer knob was broken, back staircase banister was broken. Nothing to serious. I would rent here again, just hope owner gets a better housekeeper.

We were hot, then we were cool! 😎

We enjoyed how many people this cottage could hold and the decor and views and balconies were wonderful. 2nd floor Ac was not working when we arrived at 4am and we called the 800 # and it took a long time to get someone on the phone. The rep took a message and we had to wait for someone else to call us back and then another person called us to ask what was happening. At 3am a HVAC person came out to the house and fixed the problem and by the time we woke up it was cool in the house again and we thoroughly enjoyed the rest of our stay. The pools and hot tub were fun and the beach was a very short walk from the cottage.

Nice Location .. OK Home

Honestly torn here not sure if this is a VACASA problem or a property owner problem... seems that any deferrable maintenance is being deferred. The clothes dryer clearly needs maintenance. The exhaust was not connected and was a fire hazard - when we checked in.. Even after I connected the hose back the heating element clearly needs to be replaced. The TV in the single queen bedroom upstairs did not work; while a smart tv adapter was procured / delivered to breath more life into the aging TV, I later found this was not the first time this complaint had been brought up as a recent review also had it listed. The fridge in the kitchen was replaced / the pictures were not. While new the cheapest option was clearly selected as a model with no ice/water in the door nor was there even an ice maker in the fridge. . . So you expect ICE/WATER but there isnt any.. . Also later found this as a previous review/issue... Local magazines in the home are 5-7 years old... Deck railing at front of the home was replaced with non-matching wood and not even painted to attempt to match as best as it could. Several boards in the deck around the home (on all levels) need to be replaced or renailed as they are broken/breaking or have nails coming up (trip hazard). The indoor pool at the location is noted as being closed but opening this summer... its now the fall and its still not open.. need to update ad or just remove it as an option. There is no reason it is not reopened except for the refusal to spend money by the HOA. The kitchen is poorly to just barely equipped..

Just ok

It was clean on arrival. No reply from owner or vacasa on multiple issues…no pass to get in fitness room, no reply from owner as to getting a pass, no reply on extended stay… master bed fell apart on us in the middle of first night, had to fix it ourselves, still broke but you can sleep on it. Location was as advertised, rest of facility was nice. 2 garbage bags is all that was there, 1 roll of tp per bathroom, 2 dishwasher pods is all that they left, so you can’t even get thru the week. Other items in house were broke…

Decent home - not quite as advertised

Pros: - good amount of space - both roomy and in storage - all appliances work and there are plenty of dishes - relatively clean - tons of beach stuff in the outside storage closest (boats, boogie boards, shovels/pales...you name it) - outside pools within walking distance (as well as beach) - good parking Cons: - cheaply maintained - fixtures coming off, poorly repaired plumbing, bad paint -- nothing that hampers use, but would expect better - THERE IS NO INDOOR POOL, SAUNA/STEAM ROOM OR GYM This is advertised with those amenities and they DO NOT exist. A hurricane tore that building down more than a year ago and Vacasa continues to book these homes with that amenity in place. Going to the Gulf in November, the only reason we chose this place was for the indoor pool access. Very disappointed. To add, we originally booked a home on the beach in Pensacola in early summer 2021. A month before the arrival, Vacasa sends and email saying it is no longer available, which kicks off 3+hours of phone calls with Vacasa and VRBO to get a full refund. Then, we have to spend many hours scrounging to find something commensurate, which was this home. All together, the home was fine and well priced, but we would not have stayed without the indoor pool. Vacasa provided a small refund, but we will have a hard time booking with them again due to this and losing our original listing. To pile on, the neighbors who arrived after us were also wanting to use the non-existent indoor pool. Again, these amenities have been missing for more than a year, and they are still being sold on the website. Very poor form.

Perfect house for large family

The house was spacious with a great floor plan. We had 8 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of space. The bedrooms were arranged so there was enough privacy. Would consider staying here again. Had issues with cable service in the bedrooms but otherwise no major issues.
