The hosts were available by text if I needed them. They let me know the house was clean and I could check in early if need be. The kitchen was in excellent supply of all necessary and above items We used the grill which was all equipped. It was a lovely area, with many birds making the only sounds.

Love Red Viking for a comfortable, quiet, serene stay. Our family loves this cabin and its proximity to Blue Lakes Springs’ swimming and facilities. The kitchen is well appointed for cooking and the BBQ and deck are great for dining al fresco. Love the view in the morning from the beautiful high-ceilinged windows in the living room to enjoy the trees and sunlight and woodpecker knocking on a tree. Big Trees Calaveras State Park is a wonderful visit to the giant sequoias and Murphys is a fun stop for restaurants, shopping and live music. Thank you, Red Viking, for another memorable stay!

We had a wonderful stay. It was very comfortable. We used the kitchen for most every meal and it had everything we needed. Everyone was comfortable and the girls loved having their own space in the loft. Our dog was comfortable as well. We would definitely stay again.

The Red Viking home is stunning! The home is stocked with pretty much everything you’ll need for a great and successful family trip. Plenty of bath towels/pillows/blankets for the whole crew. Check in and check out we’re both so simple. We thoroughly enjoyed our time! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at the Red Viking. The beds were particularly comfortable and the pillows were excellent too. We enjoyed the "great room" and the deck with views of beautiful redwood trees surrounding the house. It was a restful and restorative stay. And we had clear and very responsive communication from the host in the weeks leading up to and through our stay. Thank you!

This home was wonderful. The layout of the home and property are perfect for a family gathering and entertaining. They provide ample household items and kitchen products. The tvs all were equipped with multiple streaming services and a lot of game for kids and adults. The back deck was amazing with seating and a great view. We 100% recommend this home for any family or friend trips and will definitely be returning.

We have no notes! Clean! Comfy! We felt far away from everything but were a 10 minute drive to the market or Snowshoe, or Big Trees. Love that they allow pups. This place was perfect and we will be renting again in the future.

The property is beautiful and very nicely maintained. The neighborhood was extremely quiet and there was hardly any traffic (April). The house is quite spacious and there are three levels (upstairs, downstairs, loft), allowing for the separation of activities/people. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots/pans/spices. For pets, there is no fenced backyard, but plenty of wide streets to walk your dog. We had a wonderfully quiet and relaxing visit and would love to stay here again.
