Beautiful home!

Nice home, close to MAYO. The hosts were very helpful and quick to respond. The backyard is fenced, but many bunnies live in the brush pile in the back. The bathrooms are beautiful, but one is located upstairs and the other in the basement. All bedrooms are upstairs.

A Happy Mayo Thanksgiving

Had a wonderful stay here while my wife gets treatment for cancer at Mayo. Had plenty of room for us and our three young daughters. Comfortable beds, great living room furniture, functional kitchen with everything we needed to have a full Thanksgiving. Would highly recommend and would stay again!

Everything was perfect!

Charming is a perfect word for this property! We stayed there for a 10-day cancer treatment program at the Mayo Clinic. It felt like home, but it was just a 3-minute walk to the clinic. Everything you need, plus nice and cozy. The owners were very responsive.

Perfect location for many activities.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Had trouble getting televisions to work but our son figured it out. A shelf or shower caddy in the basement bath would be very helpful and maybe some board games to play. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were a nice size.

Nice enough property, but difficulties with and misinformation from the property manager.

Topping the list of difficulties we encountered: several days before the end of our confirmed 6 week stay, the manager informed us that she needed to unilaterally cut short our fully-paid stay due to a booking error on her part. As this was not possible for us, we declined. Other issues: one of the house's two bathrooms, not pictured on VRBO, is on a cold, dark basement level, not on the 'first floor' as we were informed prior to booking; the TV's were not connected to the cable system; the ice maker was not connected to a water line; the coffee pot needed to be replaced; the propane gas for the outdoor grill was empty upon our arrival.

Nicely Renovated Victorian VERY Close to Mayo!

This large house was a great "home-away-from-home" during our visit to the Mayo Clinic. It is very quick 1-2 minute drive from the Damon Parking garage, where we parked during our visits. Easily could have walked too if the weather was warmer. There was a frozen pipe during our stay (during the Polar Vortex in January) but the owner quickly responded and was able to fix the problem. All with great communication. Would highly recommend this home if you're looking for a cozy place to stay during your visit to Rochester.

Much better than a hotel!

We recently stayed here when our son had open heart surgery at Mayo Clinic. It was a huge relief to have a real house to stay at for the time we were in Rochester. The house is very comfortable and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The owners are very responsive if you need anything at all.

Relaxing home away from home

My wife and I enjoyed our time away- it was convenient to down town Rochester, which was great for our anniversary. The best part was the details at the house- the beds are awesome, the furniture is relaxing, and the backyard an oasis. We will be back!

Historical house in great neighborhood

The owner did well with this house to keep its historical look and feel. You will love the creaky hardwood floors and high ceilings. All the furnishings are updated but the house still maintains that charm. Extremely comfortable foam mattress beds and linens. Well appointed kitchen with all new dishes, knives, etc. We especially loved the patio in the private backyard and the cozy sitting room or "sunroom" as we called it. The Kutzky Park neighborhood is gorgeous, historical, quiet and felt very safe. You are a short walk and a few blocks from downtown, Mayo, St Marys, and a ton of coffee shops and restaurants. We really only needed the car to drive from the airport. My routine was to get up early and walk to Cariboo Coffee and bring home a large for the wifey. Of course I would stare at all the quaint little homes along the way. Our host was very responsive to our needs. He is a local and knows the area well. I would definitely stay here again.
