Wonderful stay with a fabulous owner

Our week was spent lazing by the pool and gazing out at the ocean, walking down for a dip in the sea or wandering to the beach bar for a snack and cocktail! The location is perfect and communication with the owner was amazing - she responded to any concerns immediately! The space is wonderful! We had the privilege of witnessing turtles hatching on the beach below - once in a lifetime! The bathrooms are dated and need some attention with a blocked drain the day we arrived (responded to quickly) and showers not fully functional. Also concern over the building site next door. There were insufficient bowls and glasses but the owner brought us more glasses.

Lovely Villa in a unique situation

We were a family of 3 generations and had a wonderful holiday in a unique situation with a pool and the beach within a 50 metres. The sea was mixed, still calm and very peaceful and wild which was great fun. Glorious sunsets and watching turtles hatching made this a memorable holiday

Fabulous house in a brilliant location

Absolutely loved this place - being able to access the beach was such a treat, as was the conveniently situated supermarket and nearby tavernas. We also got the bus into Rethmyno and taxis home so there really is no need for a car if you want a lazy holiday! The house is well equipped and very comfortable, we especially enjoyed the outside areas. The only downside is it’s proximity to a very busy highway - it’s pretty noisy and the bedrooms on that side of the property near the brunt of it, so not good if you’re a light sleeper.

Three generations holiday

We had a warm welcome from Roula, the owner who was in touch every day for queries and information and snags we’re resolved same day. We spent a glorious fortnight at Golden Sand Villa and apart from the large family spaces, great pool and outdoor areas, amazing aircon in all rooms and it’s proximity to tavernas and a supermarket ( but felt very private and secure) we were there when turtles were coming onto the beach to make nests snd lay their eggs, what a bonus!

Location location location

This villa is in a fabulous location metres from the sea. You can hear the waves and the views are so stunning. It’s a quiet area a few tavernas and a well stocked small supermarket within a minutes walk. The outdoor space at this villa was our highlight. Plenty of decent sun beds and shades. Gas BBQ was a hit. We didn’t spend hardly anytime in the villa itself except to sleep but it it very spacious. Played table tennis most nights we all enjoyed. The bed sheets and towels were replaced during our stay which was nice. We drove into Rhythmone ( about 15 minutes away) for a day definitely worth a visit. Taxi is about 18 euros. A few issues we had were quickly sorted by the owner. Could do with a little updating in places but it would never put me off booking this villa again.

Awesome! Exceeded expectations!

The villa was very roomy and ideally located centrally on the island. Pool and outdoor patio area was very enjoyable - lots of room to spread out our group of 10 comfortably. Enjoyed the ping pong table outdoors. Outdoor dining for 10 in the covered area of the patio. The beach was very good with gentle waves. The property felt very secure. There were numerous restaurants and markets within walking distance of the villa. Roula was great and came around every few days to ensure all was good. We had a malfunctioning air conditioner that she arranged to replace very quickly. The bedrooms and living areas all have air conditioning and the unit has 8 washrooms. I would highly recommend this property for large groups and families. Randy Martin Cochrane, AB

Wonderful stay

The house is absolutely amazing, well-equiped, wide open spaces, big pool and garden ; and the fact that the beach is just at the end of the garden made our stay wonderful. We had a really great time during our week on this location. But I have to say that the only problem we had was a big one : the host Rula was here everyday, entering inside the house or the garden without warning at any moment of the day, and when we said to her that we were feeling inconfortable with her visits, she didn't change anything. On the middle of our week, she came one morning with all the cleaning crew, entered in all the rooms to make a big cleaning up like if we were living the house (it was wednesday), and we were stuck out the house in the garden during almost 2hours. I know that Rula only wanted to do well, but it was very intrusive and unconfortable for us, and we felt like we were spied and watched. Still we absolutely recommend the house and the location, but the host needs to be more discreet, and come only once in the week to ask if everything is ok, not everyday

Amazing villa in a perfect location!

This was one of the best villas we have ever stayed in. The communication with the management company was exceptional. After the initial booking I changed the date, the number of people staying and had lots of questions. Each time I had such a quick reply to all my queries - thank you! The villa is very clean and well appointed. There are 6 en-suite bedrooms, plus 2 additional bathrooms, one with a shower. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with everything needed for our stay. The best feature of this villa is its location. The lovely beach is just in front of the house and it was so relaxing to get up in the morning and look at the sea. There is a well stocked supermarket close by and we ate in 6 different tavernas, all in walking distance. The food was delicious and very good value. We spent most of our time relaxing around the pool. The sun beds were very good quality and pool towels were supplied. There is also a large table in a covered area which was perfect to sit around during the evening. Roula, the owner of the villa, is a lovely lady who came round to check on the pool a few times. She brought us a beautiful bowl of fruit and a bottle of wine when we arrived. We were a family group of 8 people and we all had an amazing week in this beautiful villa. I hope we get the chance to stay there again.

Familienurlaub
