Great location and facility to relax

We had friends join us from Paris and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house was great with several locations to dine from outside for a view of the ocean to inside when it cooled off. We would definitely stay here again should we be in the Gytheio area. The owner was very personable and helpful with dining and touring suggestions.

Unique property with spectacular views

We spent four nights at the villa and loved the being in the quiet neighborhood of Mavrovouni. It was a short walk to the town square, which had a well stocked market and 2 lovely tavernas. The villa was uniquely decorated and had plenty of private space for two couples. The views from the spacious balcony were perfect for morning coffee and afternoon drinks. Day trips to Mystras and the Mani were convenient and dinners in Gythio were just a short drive away. I would highly recommend staying at Anastasios’ villa!

Great Gytheio

Wonderful place with great location. Old but comfortable. The landlord did all he could to help us. The view was breathtaking and only 5 mins drive to the town. Lots to see in the area from ancient Sparta to abandoned town of Vathia. Fantastic restaurants 5 mins walk away. Private path to delicious swimming place. 3 mins walk.

Wonderful stay, exploring the Mani

Had a fantastic 8 days here. Anastasis is a wonderful host and was always just a message away. Make sure to follow his recommendations for restaurants- they are all excellent. House is in a beautiful and peaceful location, with fantastic sea views. A few minutes walk brings you to the village, where you will find a choice of 3 restaurants. Gytheio is a super little town, with everything you could need. We really loved the local beaches. Will definitely return. Thank you for sharing this little piece of paradise with us

Comfortable house with a fabulous view

Very comfortable, fabulous view of the sea and the lighthouse from the balcony. Within walking distance of a bakery and two tavernas serving good meals that are not expensive. The back terrace is very pretty with plants and flowers and is more sheltered from the wind. It’s an easy drive to Gytheio for bigger shops. The area is quiet and pleasant. We didn’t meet Anastasis because our hire car broke down and we had to wait for hours to get a replacement so we were later arriving than we had arranged and Anastasis had to leave before we got there. However, he was very helpful and gave us directions on the phone when we got a bit lost trying to find the house in the dark. He also kept in touch by WhatsApp during our stay to make sure that all was well.

Die Kommunikation mit dem Besitzer war völlig unkompliziert, Fragen und Bedürfnisse schnell erledigt. Der Aussenbereich ist sehr wohnlich gestaltet, man fühlt sich wohl! Alles ist mit Ventilatoren und Klima ausgestattet….es gibt einen kleinen Privatstrand, welcher nur von Insidern benutzt wird, phantastisch! !!

Traum-Domizil mit Spitzengastgeber

Wir waren im Mai Juni insgesamt 7 Wochen in Gythio und hätten es mit unserer Unterkunft nicht besser treffen können! Die Lage des Ferienhauses ist fantastisch! Der Blick von den Terrassen ist grandios, so dass man den Tag auch getrost dort verbringen kann. Die Einrichtung und Ausstattung ist sehr geschmackvoll und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Zahlreiche einladende Strände sind mit dem Auto in kurzer Zeit zu erreichen. Zum großen Strand von Mavrovounio kommt man auch gut fußläufig. Was uns am meisten beeindruckt hat, war unser Gastgeber Anastasis, der uns mit zahlreichen Tipps zu Bade-/Ausflugs-/ Ausgehmöglichkeiten versorgte. Abgesehen davon, dass seine supernette Art und Fürsorge sehr angenehm war, hatte man immer das Gefühl. dass jede Frage zu jeder Zeit willkommen war und gleich beantwortet wurde. So einen zuvorkommenden und netten Gastgeber haben wir bisher noch nicht kennengelernt. Allein dafür gebühren der Unterkunft eigentlich 10 Sterne, wenn es denn möglich wäre. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Großartige Lage, aufmerksamer Host

Check in und checkout waren kontaktlos und ganz unkompliziert Anastasis ist ein sehr bemühter Gastgeber. Die Tipps bzgl Tavernen, Strände, Ausflüge, die wir von ihm bekommen haben waren für uns alle sehr hilfreich. Zu Fuß essen gehen zu können, nicht abends noch einmal ins Auto einsteigen müssen, war einfach fein. Wir waren 4 Wochen in seinem Haus. Da gibt es dann schon einmal Verbesserungsvorschläge für längere Aufenthalte. . z.B mehr Stauraum/Ablageflächen für Gäste... Anastasios hat meine Anregungen bereits aufgenommen. Den 5 Sternen in der Bewertung dürfte somit nichts mehr m Wege stehen. :) Gerne empfehle ich diese Unterkunft weiter.

Traumhafte Aussicht, Ruhe und Entspannung

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in dem Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Die Aussicht war ein Traum. Das Haus ist umgeben von Obstbäumen und Sträuchern. Der Weg zur Badebucht war etwas felsig und zugewachsen, am besten nicht mit Flip Flops gehen. Der Vermieter war sehr nett und hilfsbereit und gut zu erreichen. Das Restaurant in Laufentfernung, am zentralen Platz hat eine schöne Atmosphäre und der Strand bei Gythio mit dem verrosteten Schiffswrack hat uns sehr gefallen. Leider standen v. a. im Wohnzimmer viele Sachen rum - neben dem Sofa Stapel mit Sitzauflagen, Staubsauger, Strandequipment etc., Jalousierollen hinterm Fernsehschrank. Und in den Schränken, auch im Wohnzimmer waren lauter angefangene Essenspackungen von Vormietern, die teilweise nicht so appetitlich aussahen. Aber das war unser einziger Kritikpunkt. Wir würden es auf jeden Fall wieder buchen.

Traumhaftes Griechenland

Was will man mehr? Herrlicher Meerblick von der Terrasse und vom Esszimmer aus (muss man sich über etliche Treppenstufen verdienen, ist es aber absolut wert). Klimaanlagen in den Schlafzimmern und im Wohnzimmer (schon Ende Mai tagsüber mehr als 30 Grad). Küche und Bäder eher klein, aber absolut funktionell. Anastasis ist ein ausgezeichneter Gastgeber, der leider nicht persönlich anwesend sein konnte, uns aber telefonisch hervorragend begleitet hat. Mavrovouni ist im Mai/Juni ein eher wenig touristischer Ort mit einem Angebot an einigen Tavernen. Wir haben uns gleich am ersten Abend für Kyra Matoula entschieden und es die nächsten 20 Abende recht häufig besucht und genossen. In 15 Minuten ist man mit dem Auto an den Traumstränden von Skoutari im Süden oder Glyfada im Norden. Natürlich gibt es auch einen langen Strand in Mavrovouni. Schöne Ausflüge nach Mistras, Geraki und Monemvasia sind im Stundenradius möglich. Besonders empfehlenswert sind Touren über die Mani: ausgemalte alte Kirchen, schöne Strände und im Mai teilweise noch herrliche Blütenpracht. Also volle Empfehlung für den Standort Mavrovouni und das Haus von Anastasis.

Lage, Haus, Vermieter - perfekt :-)

Zu einem guten Urlaub gehört das passende Ziel: die Peloponnes ist unglaublich schön und abwechslungsreich; Gythio ein schönes Städtchen mit Hafen und griechischem Flair. Zu einem richtig schönen Urlaub gehört dann noch die passende Unterkunft: das Haus ist wirklich so, wie beschrieben und entspricht voll den Bildern. Es ist groß genug, dass auch 6 oder mehr Personen komfortabel wohnen können. Alles was man gebraucht (von der Kaffeemaschine bis zur Taucherbrille) findet man im Haus. Es ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Man merkt, dass das Haus auch privat genutzt wird. Ruhig gelegen und doch sind Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Tavernen gut zu erreichen. Aber das großartigstes ist der Ausblick von der Terrasse. Unglaublich..... Zu einem perfekten Urlaub fehlt dann noch der Vermieter: Anastasis hat nach Ankunft alles erklärt, Tips gegeben, war immer erreichbar und half wo er konnte. Sein Motto: fühlt euch wie zu Hause. Und das konnten wir. Wir kommen wieder. Danke Anastasis

Charmante maison avec vue magnifique sur la baie de Gythio

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la maison d’Anastasios. La vue sur la baie de Gythio est magnifique et descendre se baigner dans l’eau transparente de la petite crique en bas du terrain est vite devenu un merveilleux rituel. La maison a beaucoup de charme et nous nous y sentions comme chez nous. Anastasios est un hôte très réactif et qui s’est toujours rendu disponible pour répondre à nos questions et nous aider. Nous avons essayé tous les lieux qu’il nous a recommandés et avons pu ainsi découvrir quelques bonnes adresses très confidentielles.

Das Allerschönste ist der Weitblick in die gesamte Bucht. Die nächstgelegene Stadt (Gythio) bietet viele Restaurants und Hafenatmosphäre. Der Stadtteil Mavrovouni, in dem sich das Haus befindet, bietet Ruhe und ebenfalls fußläufig erreichbar verschiedene Tavernen sowie eine Bäckerei. Es ist ein guter Startpunkt für Ausflüge in die Mani, Sandstrände in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Das Haus ist mit allem gut ausgestattet und der Kontakt zu Anastasis ist unkompliziert und sehr freundlich gewesen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort unseren Urlaub verbringen.

Incredible experience

If you want to spend a great vacation in the south of Greece, this absolutely is the right location for you. Not only is the house itself great - it has everything you need, it's clean and big enough for quite a lot of people -, but it's location really is stunning, sitting right over the sea, at which you look every morning from one of the balconies. You want to go to the beach to cool off? No problem, in ten minutes you are right down there just barely leaving the estate and chilling at a beautiful rocky beach without anyone else. You want to eat, but not at a tourist trap but a real Greek restaurant? No problem, cause your host prepared a LOT of great tips for you to go, where you can eat really great Greek food so cheap you'll think you scammed the restaurant (true story). Over all the contact to the host is always easy, quick and friendly. There is really no downside to this house. If you want to go to southern Greece, go here!

Entspannung pur

Wenn man auf der Terrasse steht, dann meint man an der Amalfiküste zu sein: Weiter Blick über das Meer, spannende Felsenküste und etwas weiter die Stadt und die Strände. Das Haus ist sehr konfortabel und sehr individuell eingerichtet und wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

Just Fabulous !!

Communication with the host, Anastasis was excellent and the property was easy to find with the directions given. It had everything you would want and more. It was so clean, the beds so comfy with plenty of linen and towels. The air conditioning was such a relief as we stayed during August. It is a very spacious property and had a real chilled vibe to it with great outdoor areas. The view from the terrace was just incredible - it took my breathe away every time I walked out !! And watched the sunrise from the top bedroom. The are a few steps and the path down to the water is quite rugged but this wasn’t an issue. Would definitely recommend and hopefully stay again.

Tolles Häuschen mit großartiger Aussicht

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit über Weihnachten, es ist ein Platz zum Wohlfühlen. Die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet und es gab auch Spiele für die Abende. Zwischendurch war es etwas kalt weil das Haus die Wärme der Klimageräte sehr schnell wieder verloren hat.

Herrliche Lage, super netter Vermieter - wonderful view, perfect host! Invited us for an extra night

Traumhafter Ausblick von der Terrasse, sehr gemütliche und entspannte "Lounge" nach hinten, coole Gestaltung des Hauses mit den verschiedenen Ebenen, super netter Vermieter. Die schon herrlichen Fotos geben den echten Eindruck nur unvollständig wieder, der Blick von der Terrasse ist märchenhaft. Dank der vielen Bäume ist den ganzen Tag zumindest ein kleiner Schattenfleck vorne, sonst kann man nach hinten ausweichen. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll renoviert (der Vermieter ist selbst Architekt). Die Kommunikation war perfekt, Anastasis kümmert sich sehr engagiert um das Wohl seiner Gäste und stellt eine Vielzahl von Tips für Ausflüge zusammen, eines der empfohlenen Restaurants haben wir probiert, es lag in sehr schöner Lage direkt am Strand. Da das Haus am Tag nach unserer geplanten Abreise noch verfügbar war, hat uns Anastasis eingeladen, noch einen Tag umsonst zu bleiben. Da uns das Gesamtpaket richtig gefallen hat, haben wir diese Einladung sehr gern angenommen (und dafür auf eine Nacht in unserer nächsten bereits gebuchten Unterkunft verzichtet). Insgesamt absolut zu empfehlen, sehr gerne jederzeit wieder!
