Peaceful business retreat

We loved our stay! We were in town by choice for a business planning meeting. Clean comfortable quiet and beautiful views!! Will definitely stay again!

Cozy cabin in the woods where we enjoyed a beautiful clear sky night with excellent star gazing. Owners were great communicators, beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the decks. Close enough to town to get there quickly, but away from that hustle and bustle.Thank you!Erin and Scott

No truth to this. Cabin is as kept as a 30 year old cabin in the woods can be. John is obviously too "city" for us..

Peaceful Oasis

We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay at this cabin. We had everything we needed and more. The owners took very good care of us and you can see their amount of care all throughout the cabin with their special little additions. We are very much looking forward to coming back. Thank you!!

Cabin near Athens, OH.

The property is a nice but pretty simple cabin. Look at the pictures and see if it fits your needs. The couple who rent it are very nice and responsive. It was hot, but the AC units worked great. Firewood delivered on request.

We love the solitude and the king size beds, temperature control in each room, 4 porches to choose from all excellent for relaxing and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature, many accommodations! Great for any Get-A-Way! Slightly difficult parking for larger motorcycles or the newer motorcycle rider. 👍

The cabin inside and out needs maintenance and repairs. Bathroom floor is soft and a little scarey that might step through the floor as you go in the bathroom in front of sink which is also causing issues with the levelness of the door jam to close the door. The couch in living room is broken, usable and not bad for comfort, but none the less, watch where you sit on the end as it will poke you. Black tape to cover the hole where a dead bolt lock should be on the entry door. Roof outside looks to need repairs along top in front of cabin. Lots of weeds and such have over grown up next to cabin and around and coming up between the deck boards. Bedroom at top of stairs to the left appeared to have ceiling damage that was just painted over. Plus there were critters that we could hear in ceiling and walls when in living room. Host was fine and communicative, just the cabin itself needs some TLC. If I am paying to stay there on vacation, use that money for repairs and maintenance if want future customers.

Thank you for the feedback. We are actually getting new roof and siding this week and have held off on a couple repairs you mentioned until they finish. We keep the grass longer along the bottom of the cabin because its a bit scary under there as previous guests have mentioned..

We really liked the cabin but it wasnt exactly the same as the pictures. I hope they fix the floor before the next people rent it. They said they had an issue with the water and tried to fix it and it before we got there. The floor was very soft and felt like it would fall through as we stepped on it. I wish they would have called and explained this before we arrived. We could have chosen another place. I kinda felt like they put our safety in jeopardy so they didnt loose the reservation. This is just one thing that was wrong. Unfortuneately we will look elsewhere next time we come to the area.

Nice quiet place close to Athens

Nice little place short drive to Athens. Beautiful views and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Good option if visiting Ohio U or surrounding area. Short drive back to town.

My athens adventure

I had an awesome experience. Absolutely loved the cabin. Upper and lower decks gave you an amazing view. The property had all of the amenities necessary. It was comfortable and inviting. Would definitely come back with my family.

Wonderful hosts

Good cabin with full kitchen, utensils, a refrigerator/freezer that works well; and decent heating (I was there in the winter). Has very nice decks. I watched sunrise and sunset from the south-facing one. Note that the bathroom is downstairs and the bedrooms are upstairs.
