Accogliente Krimmel Kottage sulla bellissima baia di Mobile è a 45 minuti da Mobile, Alabama e un'ora da Pensacola, Florida. Si trova comodamente su una spiaggia sabbiosa su Mobile Bay che sfocia nel Golfo del Messico. The Cottage è vicino a Oldtown Fairhope, che ha ottimi ristoranti, negozi, e negozi di antiquariato. Si tratta di circa 40 minuti per le località turistiche di Gulf Shores e Orange Beach, nel Golfo del Messico.

Il cottage tranquilla e serena si trova a 4 miglia dal famoso e storico Grand Hotel, con ristoranti, campi da tennis e un campo da golf. Un parco con tavoli da picnic e attrezzature barca lancio sono un miglio lungo la strada. Monica was a joy to deal with. It was a nice getaway. No problems except the beds were not the most comfortable. We enjoyed shopping downtown , delicious meals, and ice cream .Be sure to stop by Fairhope pier, so very nice. If you are in doubt about Fairhope, don’t be …book with Monica.

Quaint town, great sunset and wildlife views. Property manager was super friendly and helpful! Cottage was just ok but clean. Would have been nice to have a beach or pier but it suited our needs for a short stay.

This was a very nice location beautiful cottage that set nice w the location could have used some yard work and bigger shower but perfect for a family vacation my kids loved it

A quiet, peaceful, restful cottage on Mobile Bay. A place to 'chill'. Yes, Fairhope is right down the road with restaurants and shopping, but the vibe here is mellow. Take a seat on the deck, steps away from the Bay, and you'll be mesmerized, not sure you want to go anywhere. Herons, pelicans, martins, laughing gulls, all under arching, graceful pines and live oaks. A truly restorative experience.

This cottage was perfect for our needs. We had booked a larger/newer place for a family birthday celebration. When the guest list grew, we booked this smaller place for overflow. It turned out to be an excellent decision. My husband and I stayed here. The cottage provides excellent views of sunset over the bay. It's quiet and restful. I would stay here again. As for recommendations, it would be perfect for a couple or a family with young children. Every amenity is provided. The bathroom is small and the shower is very small but the water pressure is excellent. The cottage is dated but it has nostalgia. As I said, for the price it was perfect.

Excellent Cottage

This is an excellent property located on the waterfront and close to Fairhope. We were attending a wedding in the town and the cottage has everything one would need. Definitely would recommend.

Felt like home

We had a wonderful stay. The house was spotless. I love the old world charm. The sunsets were worth every penny. We even got to watch dolphins play.

Labor Day Weekend

Great Communication with rental owner, great community, visiting Alabama led to a very relaxing weekend, water gets hot quick 👍🏼whether it’s golf, shopping, eating, walking, boating, we highly recommend this location, y’all enjoy Fairhope, I know we did!

My trip to do nothing but rest

Being a historical renovation contractor i enjoy my few days here. Property was built in 1952. It has its own character. Enjoyed sitting on deck watching out over the bay. Sunset was outstanding. Nice place to relax. Close to all restaurants and only 25 minutes to Gulf Shores.

Manager is very personable and property is exactly as shown in the listing. Yard could have been better maintained. We have family we come and visit every year and we would definitely stay here again.

Krimmel Kottage is jointly owned by family members, and until last year included our 99-year-old mother who still enjoyed her visits there. You will notice that there is a long farmer's family table on the side porch where 14 people sat to eat breakfast and the evening meal. Lunch was on the run because everyone was scattered either fishing, swimming, or visiting neighbors. We had the opportunity to see many Jubilees while enjoying our summers there. A Jubilee is a phenomenon that occurs only in Mobile Bay and one place in China. Fish come to the shallow water at the shore and on the surface and can be scooped up in nets.

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

Krimmel Kottage was built in 1952 by my Aunt Gertrude Krimmel and has remained in the family over the years. We spent our childhood swimming and skiing in Mobile Bay and building sandcastles on the beach.
A large wrap-around screen porch was added some years later to enjoy the bay breezes as the house was not air-conditioned. In 2004 we installed windows on the screened porch and purchased the first central heating and cooling system. The cottage is completely remodeled, and we put a deck on the front to continue to enjoy the cool breezes and the beautiful sunsets.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

Krimmel Kottage is near the old downtown Fairhope with shopping on Main street, the ice cream parlor, antiques, art galleries, and beautiful flowers. There is a wonderful concrete bike trail that will take you into downtown Fairhope.
It is convenient to Gulf Shores on the Gulf Coast and one hour from 300-year old Mobile, the original home of Mardi Gras in the US.
The breeze from offshore and the sunsets are very relaxing on the deck overlooking Mobile Bay. Listening to the waves rolling ashore gives you a calming and relaxing​ effect.
