Questa è una casa d'epoca del 1890 con cinque ampie camere da letto e tre bagni separati da qualsiasi camera da letto.

Una camera è adatta alle famiglie con un letto matrimoniale, una serie di letti a castello e culla. Un'altra camera da letto ha un letto matrimoniale e un letto singolo. Per tutti gli ospiti con problemi di mobilità c'è un letto pieghevole nella tana al piano principale e uno dei bagni si trova al piano principale. Le altre camere da letto e due bagni si trovano al secondo piano

Questa casa originale è stata recentemente aggiornata con nuovo tetto, cucina, 1 bagno nuovo e lavanderia. I sistemi elettrici e idraulici sono stati tutti sostituiti. Due nuovi forni con aria condizionata centralizzata.

Vogliamo che i nostri ospiti si sentano al sicuro, quindi abbiamo rilevatori di fumo e monossido di carbonio cablati. Abbiamo anche estintori su ogni piano.

Agli ospiti viene fornito un codice di accesso da utilizzare sulle serrature digitali all'arrivo e durante il soggiorno. Abbiamo anche un campanello video che ci contatterà immediatamente qualora i nostri ospiti avessero problemi ad accedere alla casa.

La casa è fantastica per la famiglia stare insieme. 16 posti letto. Vicino al centro e al lago.

Le cinque camere da letto sono al secondo piano, tuttavia un primo piano è disponibile al primo piano e un bagno al piano principale.

Un sacco di parcheggio fuori strada.

Bel quartiere tranquillo.

Questa proprietà era sempre stata di proprietà della famiglia Clausen da quando è stata costruita fino all'acquisto nell'aprile 2018. Abbiamo deciso di continuare il nome Clausen. Questo è uno sforzo di tre generazioni con i nostri figli e nipoti.

Abbiamo ancora molto lavoro da fare sull'esterno e sul terreno, come il tempo e il tempo lo consentono.

La proprietà comprende anche una casa scolastica a due piani che prevediamo di trasformare in un affitto settimanale.

La proprietà è un grande angolo con un sacco di alberi che forniscono ombra e un piccolo patio con una piccola buca per il fuoco. In estate si sentono i gufi amichevoli che urlano al crepuscolo.

La nostra speranza è che apprezzerai questa casa e tutto il carattere che offre insieme a tutti i comfort moderni come Wi-Fi, nuova lavatrice e asciugatrice, nuova lavastoviglie, macchina per il caffè, nuova stufa e nuovo frigorifero con fabbricatore di ghiaccio.

Offre anche un ampio portico schermato con mobili in vimini e un piccolo portico posteriore con un paio di sedie a dondolo per rilassarsi.

We were able to check in early after contacting the host. The house is beautiful and big enough for us all to spread out and enjoy. and the dining room table was big enough for all of us to eat and play games at. so many houses we have stayed at have very little seating. this house had plenty not only in the dining room but also in the two sitting rooms. The kitchen had everything we needed. Will probably book again when needed for our family get together.

Kitchen was great. Just one note: the dish soap bottle only contained water. We couldn’t find any more so I dumped the water and left the empty container just in case you needed it to just refill (which is what I do at home). Otherwise it was fine.

family reunion

The house was very clean and well stocked when we arrived. Our family reunions was at the community center in Ventura, but the Clausen house served as a gathering spot for the brothers and sisters to visit. We loved the location as it was easy to walk to plenty of entertainment and shopping. There was plenty of parking. This was our third stay at the Clausen and I am sure there will be plenty more. The next family reunion we hoping to rent the yellow house and the school house. Myron and his family are lovely host.

Beautiful Home in Clear Lake, IA

You can't go wrong in renting the Clausen Home. This Historic home has been beautifully remodeled and is a very comfortable, relaxing place to stay, especially if you are traveling in a large group! The home is conveniently located in town and in a location where you can get to many attractions very quickly. We love staying here every time we visit Clear Lake.

Family Christmas Celebration

We loved staying at the Clausen House. It is a beautiful Victorian Home, with antiques and remnants of that past era sprinkled thru out the home. I suggest that anyone that stays there, should take the time to read the literature available about the history of the home and the restoration process. Our family celebrated Christmas there this year. The home was decorated with Christmas decorations and a big beautiful Christmas tree in the living room. The Open stairway was lined with Christmas Garland, great for pictures of the Grandkids. It was a charming and cozy atmosphere. My Grandchildren loved having a sleep over with the whole family. There was 16 of us and plenty of room for all of us to have a relaxing and comfortable stay. Myron is a fantastic host. There are lots of amenities. Everything you need is provided. It is close up town, but also a very quiet neighborhood. I hope to have a family get together there again. Thank you Myron for everything!!!!

Beautiful house and location

Beautiful house that was nice and clean throughout. The hosts were great the whole time staying in communication with very easy check in and out. The location is a very short walk from the lake and everything else around clear lake. Highly recommend

Fall in the Country

I have always enjoyed the large two story homes that were built in the mid to late eighteen hundred’s. The Clausen House is one or those homes and is a joy to experience and call home for one week out of the year. This home is located in the small and friendly town of Clear Lake, Ia. with its rich musical connections to the music of the fifties.

Amazing Weekend

The property was great. Everyone enjoyed the antique feel of the grand old house while the necessities, kitchen and bathrooms were nicely update. We loved the dining room table that let all of us sit together. The entire property gave us lots of room. We enjoyed having a fire outside in the evening. The owner was so accommodating and thoughtful. We recommend the property.

Family passing

The home is huge, accommodating and filled with history while being comfortable. Unfortunately a family gathering needed to occur due to a family member passing. The owner was incredibly accommodating to a change in family coming to the funeral/needing to stay at home. The home itself was perfect for family meals, gathering and relaxing, so we were able to reminisce about our loved one who passed. Highly recommend property.

Kline family weekend

What a great weekend at The Clausen House! We had 8 adults and 8 grands under 8 yrs old! The location was in the heart of the town and the Lake for easy walks to shops, coffee, beach and splash pad, city park, Fire Museum, Freedom Rock and Central Gardens to name a few. The house easily fit our family with plenty of room inside and outside to enjoy family fun! Myron, the owner, was always a text away for questions and made sure we had everything we needed. Very clean historic house that we will always remember the fun times we had and the memories we made!

ILYA Family Fun

This house was the most equipped VRBO we have ever stayed at and we have stayed at plenty! This is a great rental for a large family six bedrooms all queen beds plus more! We had a family dinner for 12 at the family dining room and had all the pots and pans to cook for everyone. The grill was fabulous. They had plenty of games indoor and out for kids. This house had everything you could possibly need!

Yellow House Stay

This is the second time our family has stayed at this house in Clear Lake, and it is one of our favorite places to stay for many reason. We were in Clear Lake to attend the wedding of a great-niece. Our family filled the house but never felt like we were on top of each other. On Saturday we had my husband's siblings over and we grilled burgers and dogs on the grill and sat around the firepit. Everyone brought their lawn chairs and we had a fabulous time. We enjoy this house because we are so close to everything. The kids enjoyed being able to walk to the park and splash pad and lake. Also they loved going next door to the library. The shoppers were able to walk to main street and check out the stores whenever they wanted. And getting a coffee or ice cream or a bite to east was also easy. The owner is extremely helpful and accommodating. Mary from OKC

Amazing house, amazing location

We thoroughly enjoyed our family get-together here. Everything we needed was in the house and then some! We even found a butane torch in one of the kitchen drawers so we could start a fire in the fire pit. We appreciated the basket of goodies waiting for us when we arrived. We loved being close to downtown, city park, and the beach. The sofa bed in the den and having a bathroom on the first floor worked great since we had someone with us who doesn't do well climbing up a steep flight of stairs. We are seriously considering renting the house again next year!

A Birthday Celebration in Clear Lake Iowa

As a half way point between Colorado and Ohio, my family met in Clear Lake. The choice of the Clausen House made for a wonderful celebration. The home was everything we needed and far exceeded our expectations.

The best kept secret in Clear Lake Iowa

This home is beautiful and a great place to stay. Very clean, cozy and plenty of space! We love staying here every time we visit Clear Lake. The owners do a great job and thank you for the welcome basket!! Can’t wait to come again!

Wonderful Home for a Family Getaway

This was a wonderful home for a family getaway. It had everything we needed, including a highchair, kids' toys, nice grill and a large table for meals. It was a perfect location to walk everywhere we needed to go. Our grandkids loved going to the Central Gardens a couple of blocks away. It had a really cool children's area in the garden. You won't be disappointed in the Clausen House.

We recently purchased this home after falling in love with it. We wanted to share it with others.

We completely updated the electrical, and plumbing. We have basically touched almost every surface of the beautiful 1890 home.

We wanted to preserve the original feel of the home but add the modern conveniences with updated bathrooms and kitchen. It has been a family endeavor with our children and grandchildren .

We were intrigued by the beauty of this home and thought it should be preserved. It was built and owned by the Clausen family since it was built in 1890 until we purchased it in April of 2018. So we decided to continue the Clausen name and we call it "The Clausen House".

It has the original woodwork, ten foot ceilings, screened in porch, open porch, hardwood floors, pantry, two staircases and much more. We have kept many of the antiques for our guests to enjoy.

We are sure you will enjoy your stay at The Clausen House.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

The woodwork is something that is amazing when you think that it has been in place for 134 years. There is a beautiful open stair case and two sets of large pocket doors. The home was built by S.J. Clausen who immigrated from Denmark and was instrumental in Clear Lake's grain elevator and other businesses. We still have ledger books for the elevator business.
