We're sorry this guest's stay didn't meet their expectations, but several claims here are not accurate. The air conditioning never failed. We responded multiple times during their stay and arranged and paid for an HVAC technician — though holiday-weekend scheduling meant the visit happened after checkout. The technician found the system working perfectly; the thermostat had been set incorrectly, with photos confirming the wrong settings. A language barrier made it very difficult to walk the guest through the thermostat remotely during the stay, which we sincerely regret. Cleanliness is our signature — our 75 five-star reviews consistently praise it — and fresh bedding, including the comforter and sofa-bed linens, is provided for every stay. We also provide complimentary Tommy Bahama beach chairs, an umbrella, and coolers in the hallway storage closet for all guests; this guest never looked in the closet. VRBO reviewed the technician's findings and did not find cause for a refund. We take great pride in this home, as our 9.4/10 rating across 99 stays reflects, and we wish this guest well. Ken
