Piccola cabina rossa sul lago

La nostra splendida pensione sul lago si trova nel sud-ovest del Maine, ai piedi delle White Mountains, sulle rive del lago Bear. Viste incredibili, accesso al lago e alle montagne.

Il lago è tuo da godere dal tuo molo. Canoa e kayak sono disponibili per la condivisione finché non li usiamo. Il fogliame autunnale nel Maine è proprio fuori dalla finestra! Porta le racchette da neve e gli sci da fondo in inverno. Magari anche pattini se il lago non è coperto di neve. Cammina per chilometri o rilassati al chiuso e gioca a carte circondato da alberi di pino.

Si trova a breve distanza in auto dalla città (Bridgton) per negozi, cinema e ristoranti locali. La nostra casa per gli ospiti è circondata da sentieri escursionistici. I suoni dei lunatici sono magici. È davvero un posto per rilassarsi e ricaricare se sei single, una coppia o una famiglia. Non vorrai andartene!

NOTA: I gradini che portano al soppalco sono molto ripidi e non c'è cancello in alto. I genitori di bambini piccoli dovrebbero prendere nota.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Little Red Cabin. Everything was just as described, if not better! The location is fantastic, either spend your day relaxing on site, enjoy the pond, kayak, canoe, hang out at the dock or take a quick 10-15 min drive to numerous surrounding hiking trails. Shopping and dining is easily accessible as well. My sons and I loved it! Thank you Ricky and family, and not to forget August, we hope to come back some day! Olivia with Ben & Ryan

We will definitely come back to The Little Red Cabin! It is just perfect for two people. It is well supplied, cozy and comfortable, inside and out! Ricky was living right next door when we were there, but was respectful of our privacy, but welcoming and easy to reach if we had questions. Bear Pond is a jewel of lake in the area.

Clean , efficient, well located and well equipped camp. It is small, there is not much living space. Perfect for 1-2 people.

The best

This was such a great place to stay for the weekend. Beautiful spot high up overlooking quaint Bear Pond which is fed by a river and brook so there was alot to paddle and explore. The place was extremely clean and well appointed . I am looking forward to my next opportunity to stay there.

Great getaway

Lovely to kayak/ canoe on bear pond. Close to whites and other hiking/biking options. Clean and cozy property. Loved the books in the library. Well stocked kitchen.

Great spot on the lake

We had a wonderful week at Ricky’s camp on Bear Pond. Lake was beautiful and we spent the whole week swimming and grilling. We took some local hikes and spent a rainy day in nearby Bridgton. Our girls absolutely loved the loft. Ricky was an excellent host and we would recommend this to any family looking for a beautiful wooded lake life getaway in the heart of Maine.

Perfect Maine Pond Adventure

So clean and well kept. Efficient use of space. Has everything you need and nothing you don't. Our small family (one 9 year old) made good use of the single kayak, canoe, and firepit. Perfect spot to end the summer.

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at the Little Red Cabin. It was clean, very well equipped an the right size for our family of 4. Bear Pond is a very quiet lake, which was perfect for us. We loved sitting on the dock, fishing (our son caught 3 fish), watching wildlife (we saw a bald eagle, a baby eel, a very large turtle and a lot of loons). Bridgton was a great town to visit- we attended Music on Maine and learned alot at our visit to Unc'l Lunkers Bait and Tackle. Ricky was helpful and friendly. The one slight downside was the hill from cabin to the dock. Thanks for a great stay Ricky!

We had an amazing time at this cabin! It was spotless. Literally everything we could have needed was provided. The beds were unbelievably comfortable and the whole space felt cozy. Our hosts thought of everything!The pond was crystal clear and made for the perfect backdrop to relax. We loved how quiet and peaceful the property was, yet it was still just a short 15-minute drive to downtown. It was the best of both worlds!There were tons of outdoor activities nearby—golfing, hiking, kayaking—you name it. We had an absolute blast and are already planning to come back next summer. Highly recommend!

Amazing!

We had the best week! We LOVED the cabin, the pond, EVERYTHING! The spot is beautiful and peaceful and being on the pond (with kayak, canoe and floating dock) was so fun! There was absolutely no reason to leave. We were sorry to see the week come to an end. Thank you to Ricky for the hospitality! This was a true treat!

Heaven

What can I say about this property? It was just what our family needed! The cabin was a beautiful place to lay our heads after a day of hiking, swimming and fishing. The magical view and the sound of the loons at night was breathtaking. The lake water was warm, perfect for jumping off the dock and swimming. My kids caught fish and loved every minute of it. Ricky and his wife are sweet and gave us some great recommendations. We hope to be back to this corner of the country again !

Peaceful Retreat

The Little Red Cabin was the perfect spot for an end-of-summer retreat. It had everything that we needed from kitchen equipment, comfy bed, and internet access to peaceful solitude, a chorus of loons and a heavenly lake for swimming. The slope of the hill down to the lake was a challenge with arthritic knees but certainly doable. We ventured off site for some easy hiking and a scenic drive. Ricky, the host, was responsive to any and all questions. It was difficult to pack up and leave but we returned to reality relaxed and refreshed.

Bald eagle, loons and fresh air

Owner is great! Lots of pride in ownership of this property. The entire place is immaculate. Great place to stay for summer vacation, fall foliage, Fryeburg fair, etc. Nearly perfect. Beautiful pond. Not too far off the beaten path. Only minor drawbacks IMO are ; a little road noise from across the pond can be heard if the windows are open. The neighbors are within 100-150 ft. Neither of which would prevent me from returning. Overall, it’s a great rental. I recommend enthusiastically.

Great communication from host. He offered insight into some nearby activities. The cabin was perfect and has its own fire pit and dock. So peaceful. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property. Quaint little cabin that was perfect for my two friends and I to disconnect from reality. Ricky was great and made sure we had everything we needed. If you enjoy being by the water, this is the place to be. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Serenity on Bear Pond

Perfect vacation in a beautiful cabin on the water. We spent the whole week immersed in bountiful nature on the shore of Bear Pond.The water was crystal clear and perfect for swimming .Viewed awesome sunsets, stars and space junk from the private dock. Swimming out to the raft and watching the harmless water spiders swim and scatter when you jumped into the refreshing water was awesome.The terrain is incredible with majestic tall pine trees growing on top of boulders roots wrapped around the big rocks that are covered with lush green moss.The air is fresh and crisp with the scent of pine and earth.We witness a summer lightning show in the safety of the cabin,truly intimidating but awesome.You have a beautiful view of Bear Mountains and surrounding foothills of the White Mountains .Plenty of wood for evening campfires and soaking in the sounds of boys having fun at a distance boys camp.We were treated with great fireworks that lite up the sky on Sunday from the camp.Our hosts Ricky and Kerri were friendly and respected our space.The cabin has a microwave/comfortable chairs and picnic table on the deck and TV we didn’t watch.Looking forward to booking another great week at the peaceful Red Cabin on Bear Pond. Also,rode around the roller coaster back roads and ventured to North Conway only to quickly turn around for ice cream hot fudge sundae’s at Mc Donald’s as soon as we entered the snail pace traffic on the main road.lol!

This place is immaculate. I very much enjoyed my stay. It was exactly as advertised

I very much enjoyed the peace and quiet that this location offered. Be sure to buy groceries before arriving as the nearest “real grocer” is about 30 minutes away. The lake is very clean and the owner provided plenty of campfire wood. The place and the property was clean as a whistle upon my arrival. There’s laundry machines and a full kitchen. I found the owner(s) to be friendly and interesting to talk with as well. Overall this is a place I could certainly see myself returning to visit again. FIVE STARS!!
