The condo is beautiful & largely lives up to the listing. The views are spectacular, space big, and snorkeling great. The meals prepared by the staff were super.Unfortunately, communication & problem-solving fell short. A confirmed crib was not there upon arrival because the owner forgot to notify the staff. The advertised in-unit washer and dryer were locked, with guests instead directed to a paid laundry service. The largest issue was that the main living-area AC stopped working on Day 7 and remained out for the final 4 days of our 10 day stay. The bedrooms AC worked, but the shared areas were extremely hot and largely not useable- not helped by a broken shade. Compensation was not discussed until we raised it, and the eventual 140 offer felt modest given the extent of the issue. Our greatest concern came after checkout. The owner accused us of leaving the condo “trashed,” based on photos taken during our stay that showed normal signs of a family of 8, including 3 kids, actively occupying the property. We accepted responsibility for crayon on a slipcover, a damaged broom, a sandwich left in a planter, and a broken dish, & paid promptly. However, we dispute the extra cleaning fee & categorically deny taking a set of dessert forks. We were uncomfortable photos were taken without our knowledge and later used in a dispute and did not feel our POV was considered. This could have been a 5 star stay. The property is wonderful, but the handling of problems fell short.
