The property was as described - well appointed, great views of the ocean. Of particular note, the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Beach chairs and a cooler were provided.

Gorgeous Views, Perfect Location!

Ok, this place is gorgeous! The unit has two king beds, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, etc. That's all great, but we spent most of our time on the lanai with sweeping views down the beach and across to molokini and kaho'olawe, at the clean and well sized pool, or at the beach itself with soft comfortable sand and a nice area to swim. You're tucked between Kihei and Wailea, so you are a few minutes drive from all the best restaurants in the area. We couldn't have been happier with our vacation; our thanks to the owners and management for making the place available and so comfortable.

The location, communication and everything about the stay was immaculate. We ate at some of the larger resorts and definitely felt we got a better value from staying here overall.

Perfect Island Spot

PERFECT location! We had everything we needed right at our fingertips! Beach right outside our window, pool access, gym, water gear rental, deli and market to pick up snacks for the beach, not to mention a reef for snorkeling right outside! The host was very responsive and we had everything we needed and more. Perfect spot on the island, near lots of restaurants and resorts!

We arrived at the unit around 9:00 p.m. and immediately noticed a very strong musty/mold odor, especially in the bedroom, although it was present throughout the unit.Within a couple of hours, I developed asthma symptoms and hives that I believe were triggered by the conditions in the unit. My husband and daughter also experienced headaches and dizziness while there.Because of our symptoms, we did not feel comfortable remaining in the property and checked into a different hotel instead.When we spoke with the Mana Kai front desk, we were told that because we had booked through a separate management company rather than directly through Mana Kai, they were unable to assist us with changing units. A front desk staff member also told us there had been ongoing issues with that particular unit.While we were there, another guest was also at the front desk complaining that their unit was dirty and had a bad smell. They said their unit was also managed by Vacation-Maui.Vacation-Maui was responsive to our concerns and refunded the remainder of our stay, although the first night was not refunded. They also told us they would send maintenance to inspect the unit.Unfortunately, because of the strong odor and the physical symptoms we experienced, we were unable to stay at the property.
