A beautiful property on a bucolic property. The cabin was perfect sized and very well appointed. We loved the working fireplace! Had we more time, the pool looked great and was heated. It was the perfect country setting for touring the Charlottesville area.

Love-ly

A wonderful, quiet retreat in a peaceful setting. Hosts couldn't be nicer and Gordonsville is charming. If you like history and character and the country, this is your place.

Beautiful location

Nico & Kim are great hosts! Our cottage was immaculate & cozy. The pool was spectacular! The location is absolutely beautiful!

Rented 2 cottages for a girls trip. As expected the cottages are smaller due to that era.Might be cramped with 4 people. Beautiful and tranquil property. Excellent experience at the spa,lounging by the pool and fires at night. Close to shopping, wineries and restaurants. Kim and Nico were excellent hosts. These 4 ladies certainly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful location, historic setting, and a pool thrown in too! The cottages have their quirks, but that only adds to the charm. Property owner was great at communicating with us prior and during our stay

Gorgeous property

Everything was great and the hosts were super nice send responsive. We got to pet the horses and meet the farm cats but it was too cold to swim in the gorgeous pool. Would definitely go back!

Perfect Weekend Destination

My daughter and I stayed in this beautiful cottage as part of a weekend trip to celebrate her birthday. We could not have hoped for anything better! We loved being able to stay in such a well restored piece of history. We also enjoyed the unbeatable scenery and frequent visits from the resident cats Charley and Carson. The location itself was perfect - away from the hustle and bustle, but easy distance to any attractions that we wanted to visit. I would definitely stay here again if visiting the area!

Perfect getaway

Some friends and I were wanting a weekend away while being close to vineyards and this was perfect! The cottage we stayed at was clean and had a cozy feel. The pool and beautiful surrounding were such a plus as well! Although communication was difficult during the stay (I’m guessing mostly due to poor service), all my questions beforehand were promptly answered. Would definitely stay there again!

The pool and the green pastures and the woods all provide a great backdrop. (We are in the Country side but close enough to stores etc ) Our guests plan day trips to wineries and historic sightings as the cottage is at the perfect location. We very much appreciate their stay and welcome them back anytime

Nice and secluded

Communication with the hosts was easy. The property was nice, historic, and had a lot of space to roam. My wife and I live in a very rural part of Nevada and needed some time away from the city stuff we have to be on the east coast for. This little cabin and the surrounding land was perfect.

Perfect cozy spot for a getaway

If you are looking for something outside of the hustle and bustle of the city, relaxing, quiet, yet close to many cool local spots and not far from Charlottesville... this is your spot! The cottage was so cute. Clean, welcoming, and most of all relaxing. We didn't get to utilize the pool b/c of the weather, but did take advance of relaxing by the pool 1 night just to enjoy some fresh air. Book your stay now, you won't regret it!

Weekend Getaway

From selection to check in, the process could not have been easier. The location is perfect. Close enough to wineries, antiques and restaurants, but offers plenty of open space and peace and quiet. The history of the property is an added bonus. How often do you get to stay in a structure that has been around since the 1770’s! We’ll definitely be back.
