Smooth process from start to finish! Communicating with the host went great! I loved that the property was dog friendly! Their deck is gorgeous and spacious! We spent most of the time out there. I appreciated the baby gates outside for our 1 year old and pups. They thought of everything to accommodate their guests. My son loved the toy and game area upstairs! Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. I was very impressed!

We love staying here, it was our second time. The house was clean, the host was great, the deck is amazing, and you can beat the location. It's walking distance to resturants and the store.We will definitely book this again next time we go to Shaver Lake.

Overall it was a good stay. The cabin was clean and the instructions easy to follow. The DirecTV was nice to have for the World Cup games. Hot tub was nice. Some minor issues: The downstairs bedroom was advertised as a queen, but it seemed like a double. There were no closets and no washer/dryer, which was inconvenient.

Hi Richard, thank you for your kind comments about the cabin’s cleanliness and the like. For the benefit of other actual and potential guests, we do want to clarify a couple of things. First, the downstairs bed is absolutely a queen, purchased about 18 months ago with a high-quality foam mattress. We’re honestly unsure why or how it would have struck you as a double. Second, there is a laundry room, complete with a washer, a dryer, and supplies like soap pods and dryer sheets. We’d have been happy to direct you to the laundry room - it’s in the outbuilding, immediately behind the main cabin - had you asked.

The host was amazing and was very responsive, and the house was very clean and comfortable. The house had all the amenities and more that you would want in a vacation rental home. I would absolutely recommend staying in this home, we will definitely be booking it again.

The cabin was cozy, clean, and pet friendly. We loved the hot tub. It was less than 5 minutes to walk to town. It was hard to go up and down the ladder to the bedrooms upstairs. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay. The host was very responsive to messages.

Thanks, Lauren. We’re glad your visit was good overall. The stairs to the attic loft are definitely not a “ladder” but are indeed steep. This is a common and unavoidable characteristic of many older, authentic-style Shaver Lake cabins, which were largely built almost 100 years ago. The stairs here are plainly shown in the pictures of the cabin interior. And other options, without the charms that “authenticity” delivers, do exist - largely a bit, but not that far, out of town.

Great Cabin

We had a great stay, the owners we’re very communicative and the cabin was beautiful. Within walking distance to restaurants, coffee and the general store!

Perfect and cozy!

The place was perfect for our family of 3. We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean, had nice fluffy towels ( always a plus) nice big deck, great hot tub, location , was just what we needed and communication with the owners was great and prompt, but truthfully didn’t really need to communicate much when we were there.

We enjoyed our stay! Cabin was super clean. Close to town-nice walks to town and in the neighborhood. Host was easy to communicate with! Can’t wait for another stay to enjoy the amazing deck!

Great place to stay!

Clean, comfortable and cozy! Beautiful spacious outdoor deck and back patio area with lots of seating. Hot tub and hammock were great to relaxing in. Kitchen is well equipped. Stairs to the loft are not for everyone but once you’re up them it’s a great space. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay!

Perfect forest getaway

Quality lodge with a cozy lodge feel . Nice kitchen and updated finishes. Nice deck with bbq. Good location to go skiing . Will look to come back for a summer visit . Great family trip destination
