The most relaxing cottage and best view in York

My wife and I stayed at the Sea Belle cottage next door for the past two years for our anniversary and have had incredible times, but this year, we decided to splurge and rent the big house. The view of the ocean and York's two lighthouses, plus the soothing ringing of the red bell buoy, is something we dream about all year long. But the extra space in the living area & sun porch, the full bathrooms, and the larger kitchen made our stay at the Castle Rock nearly perfect. The short walk to Short Sands and easy access to Route 1 made getting around town simple. We cannot wait to come back!

Beautiful Views

The location is amazing. Waking up to an ocean sunrise while drinking coffee was a highlight. The cottage is efficient, comfortable, and well designed.

Perfect!

The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The location was beautiful. Wish we could have stayed longer. It was close to good restaurants and shopping. Very relaxing and peaceful, we had a great time.

Perfect family getaway

What a perfect vacation! The layout was great for us, my elderly mom and our two kids. The location can't be beat -- a quick jaunt to a sandy beach, shops and restaurants -- but so relaxing just to to stay home. We ate every meal outside, enjoyed the firepit and lapping waves, and had plenty of time to relax while watching the kids scramble over the rocks and explore the tide pools. Highly recommend this rental for a classic Maine summer vacation.

This place has all the charm you could ask for along the ocean. As small as it looks, it’s perfect for any size family. Walking distance to everything. Close to other homes but feels private when your outside near the water. Perfect getaway

Perfect Southern Maine Coastal Stay

The house was clean when we arrived with plenty of bath and beach towels for use. We had 6 people and it was very comfortable with the bedrooms and communal spaces. The view of the ocean is spectacular and we spent every evening around the firepit with the sound of the ocean. The house is tucked away, but an easy walk to short sands beach in York.

Great location, beautiful view

Amazing location. The view is spectacular. The house was clean and well stocked. Only downfall was the grill did not work and we had planned to use it for dinner. Other than that amazing vacation home!

Rock ‘n’ View

This property is ideally situated along the coast at Barn Point. Really a “stones throw away” from Pebble Beach! At every hour, you can watch and hear the tide roll in and roll out. A short walk into York and Short Sands Beach and easy drives to great restaurants and beaches. The house is simply and nicely decorated. Truly enjoyable.

Peaceful cottage

This oceanfront cottage was a perfect place to relax and enjoy starry nights and glorious sunrises. The house was cozy and just like the description and pictures suggested. It had everything my family and I needed and I was sad to check out. I would definitely stay here again.

Pure Serenity

This house rental is directly on the water. I took my family here for my father’s 80th birthday surprise. It was amazing! The house is very comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing family getaway. We enjoyed watching the lobster fishermen each day checking the traps and even got to see whales feeding out by the bouys. Each morning was beautiful as we made it a point to get up early to watch the sunrise from the front porch. I’ve already mentioned to my friends whom also love the area to book this house as they won’t be disappointed.

Just what we were looking for

4 of us go on a girls trip every year. We decided on Maine and picked this property and we were all so happy that we did. The property is perfectly set by the water, where we loved watching the tides change, lobster fisherman and millions of stars. The house is quaint, with everything you need (except a pizza cutter). The decorating is tasteful and the furniture is very comfortable. Less than a 10 minute walk to the little beach town is such a bonus. We enjoyed several fires at the fire pit and friendly conversations with the neighbors on both sides. I would go back today, if I could.

Lovely

The cottage was amazing, however communication with property manager needs improvement. Amenities listed 2tv's only one when we got there none in the living room, 3 calls because nothing was resolved until the last call error on the website only one tv. Our last day there we found the tv in the living friend visiting who is an engineer hooked it up for us unfortunately it was our last day. other little things but the tv was the most. My son is autistic and legally blind he likes to watch listen to his game shows.

Beautiful and relaxing location

Loved sitting in the porch in the morning drinking coffee then later in the evening with wine. The beautiful ocean views with accompanying sound of crashing waves was perfect for our relaxing get away. Close to restaurants and shopping. Great place. Easy booking and check in and out. Will come back.

Beautiful spot

The house was perfect for our group of 6. Incredible views and location, very clean and well stocked with sheets, extra towels, and kitchen items. We spent every night outside at the fire pit - lots of places to buy firewood on highway 1, wish we had remembered to buy things for s'mores! The only trouble we had was with the WiFi not working on the first day, but the managing agent was very responsive and ensured it was fixed quickly.

Amazing!!!

Perfect beach getaway for all ages (4-80)! Quiet and relaxing oasis away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, but close enough to walk to for lunch or a day at Short Sands beach. We even saw a whitetail fawn nursing on the pebble beach at sundown. Will book again in a heartbeat!

Perfect oceanfront cottage

This place is oceanfront perfection! Unobstructed views, comfortably furnished and comprehensively equipped. quiet location but easy walk to the center of activity in the Short Sands area of York— just a wonderful place, and we hope to return soon!

Oceanside Retreat

Wonderful location. Loved sitting in the yard enjoying the sites and sounds of the ocean. The cottage is very bright and comfortable.
