We had a wonderful stay at Mar Azul. The home is beautiful and was the perfect stay for our family vacation to the Newport area. Ocean view is amazing and it's a two minute drive to Newport and 2 minute walk to the beach. One of the best VRBO's we've ever stayed at!

Perfect location

We stayed at this property the marathon weekend and it was the perfect location to be able to walk to the starting line! Great house and hosts.

This property had everything we could possibly need. We recently stayed with the family for our son’s destination wedding The space is perfect for entertaining the family. The groomsmen also came to get ready with the Groom on the wedding day. It was beyond perfect! The host is extremely responsive and we Will definitely be returning with the family in the future!

Family vacation week

My husband and I along with our young adult children all stayed very comfortably in the house . The location was perfect a quick walk to the beach and short ride into Newport. The owner was wonderful and we will definitely rent this property again.

We had a lovely off season stay at Mar Azul! The house is spacious enough for 6 adults to enjoy each others company and have their own space. The kitchen was well stocked and the location of the house is incredible! Our proximity to the Cliff Walk, First and Second Beach and downtown Newport was great. Everything is easily accessible by car or Uber which makes it super easy! Rick was a great host, providing recommendations and quickly on call when we needed things throughout the stay. I would highly recommend people to stay here and we hope to come back in the summer sometime!

The house is absolutely fantastic and the location unbeatable! Super clean and updated. You can easily have two families of 4 with their separate spaces and enough room on the second floor for everyone to hang out. Our host, Rick, was extremely proactive, super nice and helpful. We really cannot say enough good things about this property and our overall experience.

Beautiful Home!

We loved our stay here! The house was so beautiful and had everything we needed to feel at home, especially with two little ones. Being so close to the beach made it easy for quick trips if we needed something back at the house. The ocean views from both balconies was the cherry on top. Rick and Lizete were helpful with our stay and quick to respond to any questions we had. We hope to book another stay here soon!

Family Wedding

The house was perfect for our family to be together before our daughter’s wedding. It was spotless, beautifully appointed and comfortable. The hosts were readily available to answer our questions. I highly recommend this home if you’re in the Newport area!

The house was absolutely perfect! Well thought out, clean bright lovely. Beautiful ocean view close to several restaurants and St Georges School where we had a graduation. Very attentive manager and owners. Will definately rent again! A gem!

Family reunion/ wedding

We stayed at Mar Azul for a family reunion and my daughter’s wedding in Middletown. The property was just beautiful, spacious and perfect accommodations for our needs. Lizette and Rick were extremely communicative and wonderful to work with. The property was perfect proximity to our venue and Newport. Loved the water views and our morning walks through the quiet neighborhoods!

Perfect for our family gathering

The house is lovely, with a great view of the water and very close to 1st Beach. The open plan kitchen, living and dining room on the 2nd floor was great as a family gathering spot for meals, to play games and watch TV.The two bedrooms on the third floor are both sizable with contemporary bathrooms each with a tiled walk-in shower.There are also two bedrooms on the entry floor with a galley kitchen.The house was perfect for our family gathering over the holidays.

Beautiful house

We stayed five nights during Fourth of July weekend. Great space and clean, perfect for multiple families as there were three floors, allowing for separation. Location is fantastic. If you are staying longer than three nights, be aware the trash cans are small and will need to dispose overflow elsewhere. Property manager was a little rude but communicative enough. We’d stay here again!

We generally do not have issues with trash unless there is excessive overflow and we communicate with all of our guests proactively about how to handle this type of situation. Our property manager has been amazing with our guests in terms of communication, special accommodations and addressing any concerns. Thanks again.

Great place

Our family of 5 (we were supposed to be 8, but a sick child kept 3 of our party away) spent a wonderful 5 days here. The property is immaculate, is more beautiful than the photos can convey, has lovely views from the decks at each level out over the Easton Bay to the Newport cliff walk, is really convenient to most places of interest in Middletown and Newport, and is well-equipped and well-stocked with everything you need, including many things you normally need to run to the grocery store for at the beginning of a rental (e.g., spices, paper goods, food storage bags). We especially loved the large open kitchen-dining room-living room on the second floor. The owner is super attentive and responsive. We definitely want to come back here on a future visit.

What you see is what you get! Absolutely gorgeous! We were trying to plan something pretty amazing for my mother-in-law‘s 70th birthday but wanted to be safe! We decided to rent a house in Newport. When I found this house online we all agreed this was a perfect fit for our family. I have a 10-year-old son and a six-year-old daughter then there were two couples and my in-laws. Every room was fit perfectly for each one of us the cabinets were perfectly stocked the beds were clean the backyard was great with a wonderful grill the two kitchens was perfect for us and it was very very clean! The host Lizette always responded to my text messages and was very accommodating!! I’m looking forward to renting this house again in the future!

Perfect place in a perfect location

Loved our stay at Mar Azul. We had 9 people, 6 adults and 3 small children and there was plenty of space for everyone. The location is wonderful. It is only a short 10 minute walk to Easton (or First) Beach and only a 10 minute drive to downtown Newport (where all the action is). It is only a 5 minute drive to Sachuest (or Second) Beach which we liked better than First Beach. It is also only a 10 minute walk to lots of great bars and restaurants in Middletown. You should definitely check out Flo's, Atlantic Grill and Rejects Beer Co. The house had everything we needed for our group of 9. There is a second kitchen on the first floor which had a second refrigerator which came in handy with our large group. All the beds had memory foam mattresses which everyone was happy with. The view from both decks was great. Looks directly across the bay at the Cliffs with its many mansions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it if you are thinking of staying in the Newport area.

Gorgeous home, exactly as listed! Clean, spacious with 2 bedrooms on both the first and third floors and a large open concept second floor with an awesome deck, comfortable beds/furniture, completely stocked, excellent location with views of Easton Beach from the second and third floor!Beautiful neighborhood, quick walk to the beach with easy access, and walkable to many places to eat downtown. The Newport cliff walk is only a mile away. And downtown Newport is just under 2 miles.Very walkable or a quick Uber ride anywhere.Owners Rick and Lizete are awesome! Easy communication and very responsive, accommodating, helpful, and seem eager to make sure you have the best stay possible!We were there for a week because our daughter was getting married nearby. Rick and Lizete allowed us to have the girls get ready the day of at the house. What a perfect spot to do that and many beautiful photo opportunities!Highly recommend this home and it’s two super hosts!
