R & R River Retreat è un bellissimo 3 camere da letto 3 bagni 3 piani pieno di log casa proprio sul fiume Coosawattee e offre: camino, TV satellitare, vasca idromassaggio, sauna, pozzo del fuoco, tavolo da biliardo, veranda protetta, mangiatoie per cervi, WIFI e sauna interna. Come uno degli appartamenti per animali domestici di Sliding Rock - non ci sono tasse per animali domestici e dispone di un cortile recintato.
Il piano principale ha 2 camere da letto, 1 bagno. 1 camera da letto ha un letto matrimoniale e TV satellitare, e l'altra ha una camera da letto matrimoniale con lettore DVD che è compatibile BluRay e WIFI (senza cavo).
Master suite al piano superiore dispone di un letto king pillow top, TV satellitare, bagno e veranda privata e macchina da caffè Keurig.
Il livello del patio ha il terzo bagno completo, sala giochi con biliardo e TV con lettore DVD che è compatibile BluRay e WIFI.

Cammina sui sentieri di montagna di Ellijay e Blue Ridge, cimentati con la pesca a mosca, poi la sera guarda il fiume scorrere o ti coccola accanto al camino e guarda un vecchio film sul tuo grande schermo TV. Magari dormi tardi sul letto principale al piano superiore King Size e prendi un caffè sulla veranda privata coperta. R & R River Retreat è un rifugio perfetto per un massimo di sei persone. Nessun proprietario di gatti è molto allergico.

Il Coosawattee River Resort offre gratuitamente: 5 parchi fluviali per la pesca senza bisogno di licenza, un granaio per accarezzare, un ponte sospeso e un parco per cani recintato. Sia il ponte che il parco cane recintato sono a pochi passi da R & R.

We got a lot of down and relaxing time something we truly needed. I would recommend this cabin to anyone needing a relaxing get away. The cabin was well stocked with everything you need but food.

Beautiful riverside retreat

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we had a wonderful stay here. We read the reviews and knew it would be a bit of a windy-road adventure getting to and from the cabin. That was ok for us, because we wanted to spend most of our time just "being" and not running around. That said, it no joke takes more than 15 minutes just to get out of the neighborhood.We loved that the whole community is basically a deer sanctuary, and we enjoyed feeding them (a couple even by hand!). The cabin had everything we needed for the relaxing vacation we wanted. What I didn't expect was there to be a campground located directly across the river. Overall it wasn't too much of a detractor but did take away from the serene atmosphere to some degree. (I think there was a scout group there the first couple nights, and there were some rowdy competitions going on one day.) I'm guessing it's less of an issue when it's not a holiday weekend.One other thing to be aware of is the steep grade down to the water. We loved sitting on the sturdy Adirondack chairs down there, but it's a bit of a hike if you forget something or need to make a couple trips.I would definitely recommend this cabin to a family with kids. For us we'd prefer something a little quieter and slightly easier to get to. Again, it was great overall!And of course we will rent from Sliding Rock again and again!!

The cabin is well-equipped, clean, and comfortable and is right on the river. Saw lots of beautiful deer. The owners even provided food for us to put in the deer feeders so we could watch them eat! Great porches. We highly recommend this cabin.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We choose Sliding Rock Cabins because they are dog friendly and it did not disappoint. The cabin was well appointed with all the little things that make staying with a dog easy. Clean and comfy. Once beyond the resort gate, the roads are narrow, paved until the very last few tenths of a mile. It was windy yet easy to get to from the directions provided, but we were not comfortable driving in the dark. We cooked at the cabin and had everything we need.

Wonderful

I was greeted by the deer and enjoyed hand feeding them throughout the week. I bought a big bag of deer corn at the local Walmart to last a whole week. The fenced in area was nice for my bassets. The walk down to the river was not bad and I had a campfire one night. You just have to keep your eye out for the deer trying to steal your marshmallows, crackers and chocolate off the picnic table while you’re sitting around the fire. I did not use any of the river resorts amenities or the sauna in the cabin, so I can’t comment on those things. I enjoyed the local food, especially Ellijay’s little Italian street food. Plenty of hiking options. I chose the Mount LeConte in Tennessee which was 2 hours away but well worth it. (10 mile hike round trip). The Engelheim Vineyards was a great place for tasting and although tubing wasn’t convenient at the cabin, I found blue ridge tubing to be spectacular. Only inconvenience about the cabin was no broom/mop/swiffer sweeper to be found. It would have been nice to sweep up the floor during the week especially my own dogs hair.

They were so beautiful and ensured their friends new we had the goods: corn, watermelon, apples and more. Its the most deer we've ever seen in our lives. The cabin was lovely, inviting, beautifully set next to the river. Thank you for a wonderful vacation with our friends and our pups.

Summer Retreat

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We kicked off our summer with a stay at R&R River Retreat. It was wonderful! The house is clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was large with everything you needed to cook, you just bring your ingredients. The large kitchen table gave us room for sit around and visit after meals. We lived on the porches. The screens protect you from bugs and we just enjoyed the comfortable furniture and the sounds of nature and the river. We explored Elijay and Blue Ridge and enjoyed the restaurants and shopping as well as the outoors. We sat by the river at night and enjoyed a campfire. We had a great time and look forward to returning some day.

Nice cabin, not remote

Cabin was nice and clean. Not remote at all, there is a busy campground across the River from the cabin that was very loud and you have neighbors on both sides. The cabin had everything we needed for a four day stay and was comfortable. Despite the noise we had a very nice time.

The neighborhood was a relatively good place to walk my dog because I didn't see any loose dogs on our side of the river. There weren't any hiking trails, but there was very little traffic on the roads.

The yard for my 4 dogs of all sizes was perfect and secure. The owner's attention to detail for the renter was superb. Labels on the light switches, etc. Deer were all over and fun to watch. Inside the cabin was cozy, clean and fun (games in the finished basement). Outside the cabin was so relaxing and we enjoyed marshmallows at the fire pit. We so much enjoyed our stay! Thank you for this wonderful experience -- again!

Great mountain getaway!

The cabin was beautiful with all the comforts of home. The sauna, hot tub, and pool table were put to good use. We had fires in the fire pit (we brought our own wood) by the river and it was so relaxing. Would come back in a heart beat! The roads are narrow and at times sharp or steep turns to get to the cabin. We used our 4 wheel drive to go up the drive. It was an excellent adventure! Very pet friendly with fenced in area, pet bed, food bowls, sheets and towels for our dog.

Great Cabin!

Great Cabin! Pet Friendly! Very Clean! Well-stocked kitchen! Great amenities- streaming tv, jacuzzi, sauna, on-property hiking and water access, fire pit, porch swing, picnic table, fenced dog area, pool table, foozball, board games, grill, porch friendly; as well as community amenities- trails, pools, stables, gym, tennis, pickle ball, fishing, etc!
