Goditi una vacanza accogliente nella nostra casa vacanza di lusso completamente attrezzata, Casa Sierra.

Decorata professionalmente, la nostra casa è elegantemente arredata con straordinarie opere d'arte dei nativi americani. L'ampio soggiorno / sala da pranzo presenta una stufa a legna del Vermont e un soffitto della cattedrale di 20 piedi inondato da ampia luce naturale, un sistema audio surround e due TV via cavo, Internet ad alta velocità e chiamate interurbane gratuite a livello nazionale .

La sala da pranzo è adiacente alla cucina completamente attrezzata. Un ampio soppalco con divano letto queen-size, TV extra / DVD, scrivania, giochi per bambini e adulti, tavolo da gioco e libri si affaccia sul soggiorno.

Ogni camera ha un letto matrimoniale, piumini e un sacco di coperte extra. Questa casa è ideale per tre coppie o una o due famiglie: con culla, letto singolo e letto matrimoniale nella camera da letto al piano superiore ... e molto altro. C'è un garage per due auto, un parcheggio carrabile per altre due auto e pochissimo traffico stradale.

Una grande collina da slittino all'interno della proprietà, visibile dall'interno, circondata da una cintura verde. Il golf è a soli cinque minuti di distanza. A soli dieci minuti da un ottimo principiante e da una collina intermedia, a dieci minuti dal lago Donner e venti minuti dal lago Tahoe. Inoltre nelle vicinanze si può godere di un facile accesso alle stazioni sciistiche di livello mondiale della riva nord: Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Homewood, Boreal e Sugar Bowl. Casa Sierra è a dieci minuti da ottimi negozi e ristoranti a Truckee o con facile accesso ai casinò di South Shore, North Shore e Reno. Puoi anche praticare rafting, kayak, pesca a mosca, eccellenti escursioni a piedi o in mountain bike di classe mondiale.

Beneficerai delle tariffe degli ospiti per l'accesso completo alle strutture del Tahoe Donner Homeowner, tra cui tre piscine e spa, strutture per l'allenamento, due club house, tennis e golf oltre a un ottimo centro equestre per passeggiate a cavallo, passeggiate sul fieno e barbecue a falò occidentali. La cucina è completamente attrezzata con tostapane, microonde e fornelli a gas, piano cottura a gas, cassetto scaldavivande, lavastoviglie, smaltimento, caffettiere tra cui stampa francese, teiera, frullatore e frullatore insieme alle solite pentole, padelle, utensili, stoviglie, occhiali, ecc.

Fantastic visit from start to finish. Owners allowed us to negotiate an earlier arrival when our plans changed at the last minute. Property was perfect for our family of 4. All amenities worked as advertised and the washer/dryer were clutch for all the laundry we generated with our outdoor activities. The stars fo shine brighter in Truckee! Hope to visit again soon.

Location was peaceful and quiet and a quick drive to Truckee (and an easy drive to Tahoe and Nevada). Our family enjoyed making breakfast and dinner at the cabin most days and the dining area was great. Watching movies together in the living room was a treat. We also loved the big windows and deck. The bedrooms were perfect for us too and the loft was a nice place to read a book and play games. Thank you!!

Spent the 3-day holiday weekend here with my wife, two sons (2 and 5), sister-in-law and mother-in-law. Very cozy, easy communication with owners, lots of snow right outside to play in, plenty of space and warmth. Easy to drive to SNO-park (5 mins), a well-stocked general store (5 mins), and the rest of Truckee (15 mins). Very easy for the family! (High chair, toys/games, saucers, etc.) Highly recommend!

Great Cabin for Two Families

Great family snow trip

Casa Sierra was clean, comfortable, and spacious for our family of four - a great base camp for snow outings, a cozy place to return to for the evenings. We enjoyed cooking dinner each night in the kitchen before selecting from the plentiful game shelf, and our kids actually forgot about wanting to watch movies (though that would have been fun too). Thanks for a wonderful family trip, we would love to come back again!

Great ski weekend!

Perfect for two small families… my friend, her two kids, and my husband and I enjoyed our stay at Casa Sierra. It was convenient for day trips to Sugarbowl, and perfect to come back from skiing to the two-car garage and cozy two-floor chalet for some home-cooked dinners and game nights. Ann and Kevin were super responsive to our queries, and accommodated a flexible check-out when we found we had a flat tire (luckily fixed no problem)! We’d stay there again if they’ll have us :)

Very comfortable cabin that easily fits 6 (such as 3 couples). Nice comfortable beds. Fully stocked kitchen. Heater works well. Wood stove is especially nice. The 2-car garage is a nice touch (though a tight fit for larger cars). When we were there (during a big snow storm) the driveway was thoroughly plowed and the deck was cleared of snow.The microwave was not working during our stay, but I think it had only very recently broken (I informed the owner). Speaking of the owner, his communication was about the best I've ever received for a vacation rental - he was proactive in communicating to us the storm and conditions and how it might affect our stay. He was also very responsive during our stay. Final note: the living room was much more roomy and comfortable than I would have thought based on the photos.

Another Wonderful Winter Getaway

This is our second time staying at the lovely home of Jim & Ann in Truckee. Our group of 6 adults and 2 dogs had an extraordinarily wonderful post-Thanksgiving weekend. It was snowy outside, but oh-so-cozy inside with the wood-burning stove going. We ventured out a couple of times, but for the most party just stayed warm inside and played games, cooked, and enjoyed each other's company. We can't recommend staying here ENOUGH! So delightful.

The cabin is a rustic, cozy spot that has everything you may need for your stay. Our only big issue was the lack of cooling. The place is probably great in winter, but not set up for a summer stay. There is no A/C and just one tiny fan for the whole house. This made the cabin quite uncomfortable for the later half of the day. Otherwise, everything else was pleasant and went well.

The Perfect Winter Getaway

We had a phenomenally cozy snowy end to winter at this cabin for the second year in a row. The cabin is spacious yet warm with ample access to snow fun of all types for all ages (our group ranged from baby to senior). The kitchen is well stocked and the fridge is full-sized which made it easy for us to bring enough food to make dinner every night, but there are also many options within a short drive to pick up groceries or meals. The hosts were super accommodating due to somewhat severe weather (both years!) and very helpful and responsive. I highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back soon.

This is a family home. We had a slight hiccup at check-in re access and the owner was super responsive and handled beautifully. That said it’s dated and there aren’t screens on the doors and some windows so we had some concerns about nighttime visitors. Some of the plugs didn’t work and the bedrooms have poor lighting. I’m giving a good review and would give excellent when I go again if the updates discussed are made. Th cleaners should def degrease cabinets and maybe clean out kitchen drawers etc. a spot check by owner may help. Otherwise this was a fine fine home for our week stay at the price listed.

Decent Value, but needs to be updated

We recently stayed in this rental with our family of 6. Part of the reason I booked this property was because the listing photos showed a baby crib in one of the bedrooms, and we were traveling with a 4-month-old. Luckily I emailed the owners the week before we left, because when I asked to make sure the crib was there they informed me that they had removed the crib, but hadn't bothered to update the listing photos. The house is sadly overdue for updates. If you look up the listing photos from the last time the house sold, you can see that the owners haven't done anything to update it in many years, including the old shag carpet. The kitchen is poorly laid out, with the fridge blocking half of the counter space. It's incredibly awkward. The house is falling apart in many areas, including electrical outlets that are so old that they no longer hold onto chargers when you insert them, making them unsafe to use. The dishwasher is broken, so that when you try to roll out the dish tray it crashes around. The shelves in the fridge are broken and duct taped with cardboard. The kitchen hood vent over the stove doesn't actually vent anywhere, so it just dumps the steam back into the room. The mattresses are old and uncomfortable. The listing advertised a wood stove with firewood, but there was no wood in the house or the garage, or the storage area. The house was also missing basic things like hand soap. Overall, the price was decent, but I would not recommend.

Wonderful family getaway.

Nicely located for winter ski fun. Close to Palisades, Northstar and of course, Donner. We had 5 teenaged girls + two parents and felt there was plenty of room. Thank you! We loved it.

Tahoe Donner is a year-round vacation getaway. We love to ski and golf and we love the tons of amenities. We also love that it is easy to get to quickly, just off of I-80 once you cross Donner Pass. It's about a half hour closer to the SF Bay Area and Sacramento than anyplace else in the Lake Tahoe Basin yet has easy and quick access to everything fun about the Lake Tahoe Basin.
