Great stay

The property was great. We were very impressed with how clean this property was. The fire pit by the shore was peaceful. There was not much privacy as the neighbors are really close.

We had a wonderful time. It was very windy that weekend, so we weren't able to enjoy the water too much, but the view was super relaxing. The property owner was very helpful with responding to questions.

We had a wonderful time! The river was very high and not swimmable but we were able to take the kayaks to the lake instead. My boys enjoyed the fishing off the dock.

Took our blues away!

We had a relaxing and comfortable stay in this charming, spotless and very well appointed lake house! The house literally had everything we needed and more and was very tastefully constructed and decorated. The peacefulness and views were splendid and the neighbors very welcoming. And a very quick, easy drive from Chicago, we definitely hope to return

Charmer with Lovely View

Nicely appointed "cottage feel" home with great decor and even better grounds. Love the hot tub/deck area. The fire pit by the water is a nice touch. The river/lake area to kayak on was just enough to go on a short adventure. The area surrounding house is just ok (road to house should be paved but is gravel). Otherwise would definitely recommend and we willl be back!

Relaxation

The place was everything it said it was and more. Very clean, great location. The owner John stopped by, Introduced himself was great to meet him & his wife as well . If there's something you needed, they were there for you.. the view is amazing! We had such a nice time everything we needed hot tub, fire pit, LakeviewWhat more could you ask for to unwind from a go go, go lifestyle? Yes I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from a hectic lifestyle just to slow down, breathe a little & take in all the beauty this place has to offer.

This was a great property to stay at when you want to to feel secluded and quiet. It is also close enough to the big city that it made the drives enjoyable. Everything was as described and the hosts were great to deal with! We would stay here again!!!

Overall this is an excellent property which pictures accurately reflect. However minor issues were-no ice in freezer/nor ice tray, coffee maker didn’t make coffee accurately neither 1/2 or full pot & no directions.

An excellent property

I was very impressed with this property. It was cozy and comfortable. Great kitchen and huge island for preparing and eating meals. The hot tub was an excellent touch. The fire pit had ample seating and was well-maintained. Only two minor observations - the water pressure in the shower wasn't great, and the owners could definitely stand to upgrade the grill. But neither of those things negatively impacted our stay. I highly recommend this property for a single family or a group of friends. I would definitely go back!
