Bellissimo cottage sul mare con vista sull'oceano espansiva

Questa bella casa sull'oceano si trova su 2 acri privati con una vista mozzafiato ed espansiva sulla baia di Penobscot. Il lato dell'oceano della casa è fiancheggiato da finestre e porte-finestre aperte sull'ampio ponte - perfetto per grigliare, rilassarsi e ammirare il panorama. Splendidi sentieri boscosi fuori dalla porta sul retro e un campo da tennis in terra battuta privato a pochi passi completano l'esperienza. L'uso di un molo privato per il nuoto è a 10 minuti a piedi. La casa aveva una stufa a legna e 2 zone di riscaldamento - per un clima più freddo nel tardo autunno, in inverno e all'inizio della primavera. Questa casa è aperta, soleggiata e confortevole con vista sull'acqua da ogni stanza e ampi pavimenti di pino in tutto. La casa ha un mezzo bagno al piano inferiore e tre camere da letto e un bagno completo (con vasca con piedini e doccia separata) al piano superiore. La camera da letto principale ha una vista meravigliosa, un armadio completo e un letto matrimoniale. La camera degli ospiti ha un letto matrimoniale, un armadio completo e una vista sull'acqua, e la camera per bambini ha due letti singoli e una fantastica vista a volo d'uccello sull'acqua. Questa casa unisce eleganza casual e fascino per la vacanza perfetta.

This house is in a wonderful setting. Cozy with walls of windows overlooking the bay. The host remedied a heating issue in a timely manner. The trails are a bonus for walking with smells of balsam and views.

We had a wonderful stay. The location was the real highlight — gorgeous water views in a peaceful quiet setting. The house itself was comfortable and clean with a spacious kitchen, with everything we needed for our family of four with a dog. The trails and surrounding property were beautiful, and great home base to tour farm stands and surrounding towns in mid-coast.Communication with the host was easy, and check-in/check-out was smooth. We’d love to return and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great Maine getaway.

Beautiful location! The house is extremely clean, exactly as pictured with stunning ocean views. It was perfect for what we were looking for - something quiet and peaceful, where we could relax, read, hike, play tennis, do some fishing, and enjoy the ocean views. Wonderful to wake up, sit on the deck, sip coffee, and watch lobster boats. The house itself was very well laid out including a well-stocked kitchen making cooking easy. The location is extremely quiet and has wonderful trails for hiking. Owner (Merritt) was very friendly and helpful. Overall, amazing place! We loved it.

On the water perfection!

The cottage is perfect - comfy, clean and drop-dead views from windows all around. Best stay I've had on VRBO. Merritt was easy to communicate with - kind and helpful. We plan to stay again and we cannot wait!

We enjoyed spectacular views and gorgeous weather. It was a great friends reunion week.Many local shops and restaurants were already closed for the season or only open on the weekend. We’d advise getting your groceries for the week before you get to the cottage.

Perfect Getaway… as always!

We were so pleased to be able to stay at Merritt’s charming cottage again. Even in the bleak midwinter we loved every minute! It was cozy & warm, comfortable & peaceful. We love it here.

Fantastic!

We had a wonderful week at Merritt’s cottage (and our dog had the best vacation ever)! The cottage is cozy, nicely decorated, and larger than it looks in the photos. The views are absolutely fantastic! We normally don’t stay in the same place twice, but plan on making an exception for this house and can’t wait to return!

Gorgeous location

The cottage sits on a bluff with an amazing view of the ocean that can be enjoyed from every room in the house. The walking trails surrounding the property were amazing and well maintained. The well equipped cottage isn’t large but there is a feeling of spaciousness. Merritt, the host, was very helpful and responsive.

Wonderful week!

The property was as described, and the owner was very helpful/knowledgeable. Totally enjoyed the view and ability to listen to the waves. So many things to do in that area or just sit on the deck. It is very quiet, and the lobster boats are fascinating. Merritt could not have been nicer, and we hope to make a return trip next year. Thanks Merritt!

Hart's Neck Road

The property was beautiful. When the weather permitted, the view was outstanding. It was quiet, and extremely restful. A little bit of a drive to get somewhere, but we didn't want to get anywhere. There were local restaurants that were great with just a little drive. And Rockland supermarkets were just fine. We would highly recommend.

Perfect Getaway

My wife and I booked this house for our honeymoon trip. This house couldn’t have been a better choice to stay at. The ocean views from the house and deck are surreal and breathtaking. The house was very clean and had all the kitchen equipment we needed. We truly enjoyed our stay and found it to be the perfect midpoint to explore all the nearby towns. Merritt was such an awesome and nice host, we will definitely return to this house when we come to Maine again as long as it’s not already booked. We were definitely sad to leave once our trip was over.

My family has been coming to Tenants Harbor for 5 generations, returning each summer. I grew up with my cousins and other family members on the water, on the rocks and enjoying all Maine's rocky coast has to offer. With my husband Chris and my three children we continue to enjoy all this rocky and wooded coast has to offer. I'm a "recovering" lawyer and have spent my life on the water - sailing in the second women's round the world ocean race and the first women's America's Cup team (a new documentary called Mighty Mary (https://www.mightymaryfilm.com/) about the team is being released nationally on Sept 11, 2026). In my spare time I'm an avid equestrian (eventing), and we have a small barn at the head of tenants Harbor. Our three kids enjoy the property in different ways, my son loves fishing for stripper off the rocks, my middle daughter loves sailing and island hopping and my youngest enjoys riding with me and taking our two dogs on the trails.

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

This property offers you a window to Maine's wonderful coast. In summer and early fall, you'll see lobster fishermen hauling their traps right in front of the house. You'll sleep listening to the sound of the sea and wake to the small of the salt air. If the wind is right, you'll hear the peaceful sound of the bell buoy off of Southern Island (owned by famed painter Andrew Wyeth's family) chiming gently, a reminder of times past when sailors and seamen listed for bell buoys to warn them of land in for. Foggy days will bring you quiet reading and relaxing time, or allow for a trip to nearby Rockland (home to the famed Farnsworth museum, amazing eateries and other galleries) or Camden. There are terrific walking trails right from the house, tennis courts, dock for swimming. In the winter, snow shoeing, skiing at the Camden Snowbowl or watching the weather on the ocean from in front of the cozy wood stove all make for a wonderful time.
